That was a personal attack and nasty insinuation against which I will defend myself, and I will defend my opinion that KS prioritised the reputation of the Establishment over justice for the victims of child abuse. Live with it.

the politics have allot to do with the virus, even vitally so.... hence the vents.... the take it to the side is because the rules of the thread are not to fight with anyone on the forum directly...... it doesn't matter who you vote for here, as long as you vent

Elon Musk has long ago established that his insights into the virus and epidemiology are negligible (he predicted in mid-March that by the end of April there would be next to no new cases) -- and also that he has an epic lack of empathy for the non-wealthy.

uh huh, yah he says nothing of the virus or epidemiology in this that seems relevant. it's more the Global Pandemic Management side he talks about that raised my curiosity.

this is the age of super villains, Elon is one of those guys that you never know which side he's gonna side with, at the last minute he will refuse to give trump the codes to the space time discombobulator because his mom is still alive on earth and he doesn't want anything to happen to her.

I disagree actually. I would consider Bloomberg very much to the right of me, but he could probably arrange an efficient piss-up in the brewery of America...

Yeah, but who needs science or good governance when you’ve got magical thinking? 🤔

Bloomberg left the GOP years ago and was only briefly a Republican. The Republican party is pretty strongly dominated by people that don't believe in a role for the federal government in anything other than a military capacity (unless, of course, they need a government subsidy to support an industry that is a major campaign contributor).

That’s why I’m impressed with Starmer. He’s a proper, grown-up, professional in a suit. He’s not a ‘character’, and doesn’t really have any ‘charisma’, and the public probably think he’s ‘boring’. But he takes his job seriously, and that’s a breath of fresh air on these shores.

I know little of him (so far), but the bar is pretty low, let's hope he can vault over it. The difference between the US and the UK is that Boris has a few years in front of him, whereas the election has begun here....
