So Boris has changed the slogan in the UK from ‘Stay Home’ to ‘Stay Alert’. So we can go out now but watch out in case any viruses are hiding round the corner??? 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Are other country leaders being this patronising? He was personifying the virus as a mugger the other day. Gove said our ‘British spirit’ would get us through. This isn’t a war or a human assailant, it’s a microscopic virus that is killing people and we simply need to do whatever we can to stop passing it from one person to another. We don’t need fucking metaphors.

Shite slogans is all they’ve got - it’s a terrifyingly incapable cabinet with a lying idiot at the top. Johnson culled anyone with half a brain with his Pro-Brexit reshuffle.

Countries like Greece with only 150 deaths look on in horror at our 30,000 - 50,000 deaths:

I was just in the middle of an interesting article when I went tab surfing and landed here. It was from a scientist who caught covid-19, well worth a read, one paragraph stood out in regards to something you said earlier.

“Many people think COVID-19 kills 1% of patients, and the rest get away with some flulike symptoms. But the story gets more complicated. Many people will be left with chronic kidney and heart problems. Even their neural system is disrupted. There will be hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, possibly more, who will need treatments such as renal dialysis for the rest of their lives. The more we learn about the coronavirus, the more questions arise. We are learning while we are sailing. That’s why I get so annoyed by the many commentators on the sidelines who, without much insight, criticize the scientists and policymakers trying hard to get the epidemic under control. That’s very unfair”.

    https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/05/finally-virus-got-me-scientist-who-fought-ebola-and-hiv-reflects-facing-death-covid-19

It’s good, nay healthy to be sceptical, especially in times like these, but it’s also good to be sceptical of your skepticism, just incase one of the cock brothers has got to your thinking.

And interesting how he makes the statement “ Let’s be clear: Without a coronavirus vaccine, we will never be able to live normally again”

    Does he have any agenda?

Dr. Peter Piot Joins Foundation as a Senior Fellow - Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

I am disappoint, you seem hesitant about herr gates and his vaccine solution for our current malady, this isn’t good, as your name was put forward to be the forum cavia porcellus once bills vaccine is ready. The fear being if you’re too stressed or tense it could skew the results, bill has promised a day zero patch after release to take care of a few issues early testers reported, like erroneous teat growth in males.

What I took from the article is the range of symptoms covid-19 produces, how someone can be clear of the original disease, test negative yet still encounter serious immune system responses like a cytokine storm after they seem to be in recovery or have been discharged, like what happened to the author and I suspect ty too. Been reading of late about people being asymptomatic, feeling fine yet having dangerously low oxygen levels in their blood or suffering from severe pneumonia, but showing no or little signs of distress.

This isn’t the flu as some people say, some people that can afford moosive houses, large private grounds, testing of staff and visitors and are amongst the least vulnerable to exposure and like to tell the rest of us that this disease is nothing to worry about, it’s being overblown, time to restart the economy, it will just go away with unicorns that produce sunlight from their tails. Sorts of people who have had it their own way for an age, have successive governments that take care of their every need, yet still feel it necessary to wind people up to a point where they would kill, if the ultra wealthy ever had to suffer the indignity of paying taxes. The commies have gone way too far, boogaloo time mofo’s.

Worst of it is in modern times, what is at root conformist behaviour gets rebranded as rebellious. Lockdown came suddenly to the uk due to 19th century thinkers with establishment educations deluding themselves into thinking their brilliance knew no bounds, then running into the boundaries caused by their delusion early into the pandemic as the first wave, made larger by their ineptitude was set to crush the nhs. Sleight of hand here, shuffling the elderly to die in care homes over there, constant mantra of stay home, protect the nhs, save lives and the government has managed to push their responsibilities onto the public, quite a few of whom died at home, trying to protect the nhs.

Do I think the epidemiologist/virologist who’s experience with covid-19 may have an agenda due to him being a fellow at the bill and melinda gates foundation, to push for a vaccine as the only solution, maybe, bill can get a bit stir crazy about vaccines. Yet I also think it’s more likely his taking this stance due to how his been trained and his experience with ebola and hiv, which is what made me take note, as between the lines I saw a slightly veiled warning about the potential of covid-19, which has chameleon like qualities to cause serious harm widely and not just initially either. I personally wouldn’t trust bill gates to prescribe me paracetamol, just incase I experienced an extended period of flaccidity after taking them, which is why your name has been put forward to test for the rest of us, your bravery will be remembered in song and verse.

omg, did people with both children and brains, who go to church on Sunday and eat apple pie all week long actually vote for this guy?

    embarrassingly disgusting

  • This is sinister AF:

To distract from his pandemic failures Trump is threatening to launch a partisan investigation against his predecessor. At this point democratic norms and the rule of law are threatened. The amount of misinformation and partisan talking points whose sole purpose is to muddy the waters is growing alarmingly.

And what is your interpretation of what he said. Based on your past postings, I suspect your interpretation is something like “see lockdowns don’t work” but that isn’t the takeaway at all.
