  • Wait.

    Just 33%???

    I'll pass...

  • They have a 6 App bundle too. Completed the bundle for only $2 and crush station and crystals.

I'm not sure if it was an error but I just got one of the bundles for about $1.49. I still had 2 of the plugins to get. Seems like a good deal to get Blackhole reverb but I got Crystals as well. Not even sure what it does :D

All Eventide Apps are on sale. Except for TriceraChorus.

oh i can get the reverb bundle for 20$ ! might have to, i only have blackhole from that one and who doesn’t want more reverb

Whoops, the Eventide bundles just gave me for free their only 2 plugins I didn’t want. Guess trying them won’t hurt!

  • Hmmm, the bundles seemingly are a vastly superior deal.

Probably a mistake on their part. Certainly diametrically opposed to their past marketing. Take advantage of it while you can, I guess...

  • Just bought the Eventide reverb bundle before noticing the other 2 bundles. I am getting zero discounts on the other bundles right now. Is this normal?

Wish I went for the other two bundles earlier as this will be a more expensive way to purchase all the plugins.

That reminds me of my cousin, who opened a Christmas present as a child and promptly announced: "Great! Just what I didn't want the most!"

:D Tricera Chorus because I'm deaf in one ear and Shimmer because... I already have Alteza and a slight case of ambient drone burnout syndrome? They both are great, though o:) And Koshiba has been a godsend after big reverb effects for me recently.

are you putting koshiba after reverb in the chain or are you saying you’re enjoying it in the place of reverb due to being burnt out on em ahah

Making a huge blur of reverb after a synth and then using Koshiba afterwards to slice and dice that into a palatable groove...

When I switched to iPad music I was doing only long washy arrhythmic drones, but now i'm on the opposite side of that swing! And still recovering...

  • @RolandGarros on paper koshiba sounds a lot like perforator. Where is the difference between them? 🤔

Perforator is very fast for creating rhythmic gating/filtering but with less nuance than Koshiba, where you can set different shapes and filtering for each step in your sequence. It also has an effects bus send per step as well as global effects. I like Perforator too, but if you are imagining a fancier version of that effect for a certain part, that’s where Koshiba fits.

ya ive made a lot of washed pads in my day, taking a break from them these days, sticking with arps and less atmospheric pads. feels good

    Me too!

This is a crazy good deal on Eventide but choose your bundle wisely because if the same app is in the second bundle you want to get it won’t let you complete the purchase. It says you already have one of the apps that complete the bundle.

Bundles are the most wigged out feature in the AppStore.

Thanks, that clears things up. Looks like perforator is more my cup of tea, I already have to many complex apps I never really learned.

I was just wondering how bundle overlap would work out - and this is worse than I was fearing! Seems like it will likely be best to hold out for the largest bundle...

  • Yeah I choose the wrong bundle and missed out on a bigger better deal.... don’t go the small option 🤦‍♂️

Sale prices on individual apps haven’t shown (Edit: here in the UK) so I’m holding out (Edit 2: yes they have, just on less of the single effects than I was expecting) - also mustn’t get carried away due to other likely sales coming 😂

  • Is there enough variety in the reverb bundle? Seems a great saving compared to buying them separately though I'd only planned to pick one up. I mainly use eos2 for reverb but was thinking of getting blackhole and now I'm tempted by the bundle

Check out TB Reverb before you decide.

Will do, hoping for a tb sale as few of their apps I'd like

    Thanks

This synth is, in one word, insane.
Check youtube videos for what kind of unbelievable weirdness people manage to get out of it.

Worth to buy an iPad for the app alone.

I was sceptical about this app, got it after these comments.
This app is bloody amazingly cool. I’m lost, I don’t know 1% of how it works. Who cares, it sounds amazing. Truly unique. I have a few “noises, blips, textures” sample dirs (Heinbach & the like), this does it all and musically. The sequencer is weird as hell but so inspiring. Did I say it sounds really fucjing good?
    GET IT!.

Yeah I was able to get the Reverb bundle for free as I had them all except Shimmerverb so figured I might as well, but didn't realise it would block me from the other bundles. Not a big deal as I'm not too bothered about the other effects, but worth being aware of.

I spoke to Apple support chat and they couldn't work out how to solve it, as they couldn't "refund" the bundle purchase as it was a free one... I couldn't be bothered to spend too much time on it so just left it, haha.

  • These Eventide bundles are weird as hell. The prices keep changing, really quite drastically, if I open the App Store, look at them, and then close it again.

  • Btw, for what its worth, of the Eventide effects I have bought in the past that I like a lot are blackhole, crystals and Undulator. I have never got along well with UltraTap or MicroPitch. Never tried the shimmer just because I already have a couple of those (alteza and stratmosphere are great)

Yeah you can get the real price of the bundles by scrolling to the bottom of the page and back up again, it's an annoying appstore bug....it's just not always calculating your purchased apps.

  • @nickneek eventide shimmer is different from Alteza and Stratmosphere, as good, in its own way

  • Some SugarBytes stuff has gone down on the App Store...
