Well, there seems to be a problem on the Spanish AppStore, because both the apps and bundles seem to be showing the full price.
Ah yeah - that's a really cool effect plug in. Incredibly versatile - thanks!
Good to hear - I hoped that video would do something to make more people appreciate Classic FX, it has really gone from strength to strength with each update.
That’s a really good deal!
But yes - it is spelled ‘Modley’ which is why Nige couldn’t find it
Audio Damage apps are on sale - 50% or more. Definitely snapping up Enso for $2.
I can confirm that I was able to buy both bundles without issue.
Jeez, that is a real deal right there - as mentioned in the Gauss thread, I take back my comment that it is an Enso killer - still plenty of room for Enso at the table, really appreciate its quantized record options
As a long-time loop aficionado (and occasional practitioner), definitely agree. There’s a bunch to like in both of those apps. (And even more, I think, once I start rolling some custom scripts with Mozaic to extend their functionality.)
I was wondering if something like LK could be used to sort of side-sync Gauss by automating record using a MIDI CC and then having that as a clip which is synced to tempo.
i would feel bad not to try it at this price 🙃
Turnado is great too.. deep..
Scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page, then back up to the top. The App Store's always been glitchy with bundles. I guess they don't fix it because there's a financial incentive for them to leave it be.
I already had 3 apps from each 'pro' bundle and after scrolling down and then up again it was €18.01 for one and €5.52 for the other.
Sure, though it would still lack things that enso has like being able to make sure record starts from the start of the next bar, or next beat or whatever - i don’t think you could get a midi cc setup from an external app that would give you the same flexibility you get by doing it within enso itself, you need to be more organiZed and have less room for spontaneity - though do please correct me if i am wrong somebody. > @PeteSasqwax said:
Replicant for 3 units seems pretty good too...
Everything Sugar Bytes just went on sale until December 6th
Semi-OT (non musical app)
Sketch club is currently free
https://apps.apple.com/app/id404414176?ign-mpt=uo=4
Good for those who sketch or want to do album covers
Indeed! I haven’t bought anything so far, but I’m sure something will go on sale this week that I can’t resist.
Definitely, replicant is cool
Likewise.
“Restraint”? LOL! The only reason I haven’t bought anything so far is because I already have most of the things that have gone on sale...
Bit late to the party but the the Eventide bundling has meant I’ve picked up Crushstation and Crystals for £3.03. That’s my evening gone!
Thanks @colenel_mustard. Tried that, but still no change.....maybe I should try connecting via the UK AppStore?
Phosphor 3 For $1.99 is insane!
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/phosphor-3/id1499115553
Love all the Audio Damage stuff!
Is there any reason to buy Phosphor 3 if I already have version 2?
I love them but Looperator and Effectrix can end up doing something very similar, so if cash is limited, just one of those will probably suffice.
If I could just get one, I'd get Turnado, which has a broader range of options and a lot of modulation options, and also the best for live improvisation\performance. It's great for adding a bit of rhythmic interest as part of an effect chain but it can do a whole bunch of things. It really is worth reading the manual thoroughly, as there's a lot going on and many of the presets need to be tamed a bit to be useful, but it really is worth it, as more musically useful setups and definitely possible with a bit of tweaking.
Effectrix is the most limited, and surprisingly lacking in randomisation options which SB usually excel in, so each pass of the loop can end up sounding a bit samey. Still great though but I end up using it differently to Turnado.
It depends on your music making workflow. If you are more production focused e.g. use the plugins to render out loops for use in other things, any of them will serve you well, but I'd suggest Turnado or Looperator for a more live or improvised workflow.
But that's my take - interested to know how others use them.
Unique is the SB app I use the least.
It was £26.99 in the UK, from memory. I'm surprised they've discounted it at all so soon after release.
£15.99 represents quite a small discount, so I think I'll give it a pass this time, esp as it's so similar to Effectrix. Well that's an easy decision!
+1 It's great for a bit of beat slicing, with excellent graduated randomisation options which mean it can either sound the same with each pass, or wildly different, or anything between, depending how much bar on bar variation you want.
