All Olympia Noise Apps on sale!

    Ribbons only $2.99

I keep thinking this is a new ONC app and getting very excited about it... then I remember it was called Ondes when I bought it!

For anyone else who's trying desperately to wait until all the sales have dropped before shopping, I've put all the stuff I've found on sale this week into a Google Sheet

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-PagS7JgInLVgXnngVPfrrfJAjYseePvKAurYRkWpUA/edit#gid=0

I haven't made it alllll the way back to when sales started dropping last week yet, but I'm working on it.

Please add anything you see missing

This is so helpful. Thanks a lot, @Millwardesque.

I don’t currently own any reverbs but I’m quite into the long, diffuse, shimmering stuff. It seems that you can collect them endlessly. Does any of you fellow reverbheads have any recommendations for a versatile one to begin with? I’m trying to be very selective with my purchases here, but it’s hard to pick without having the chance to try them. —Thanks!

Yeah, AudioDamage prices are soo positively twisted I think to buy them all ;) Taking into account all the applications it's 61% discount. All 19 apps cost the same like 1 desktop Continua including 50% off. Which number are MUST HAVE? :)

These prices are a steal ...

Replicant is excellent for quick and easy beat slicing, from subtle to drastic, with a lot of depth and options to customise the effect
Continua packs a mighty punch for rich evolving ambient and rhythmic sounds (think Bladerunner)
Dubstation is a great bread and butter delay unit
Quanta is a great take on the granular synth genre but doesn't have onboard effects
QuatroMod is great for adding thickness and depth to sounds
PanStation works well for adding a sense of width and space to ambient spaces

Could I get your opinion on the EOS reverb? Can it hold it own beside some of the heavyweight algorithmic reverbs like TB Reverb and Fabfilter Pro-R?

EOS is quite good but when TB Reverb came along I instantly preferred its sound, so I switched to TB Reverb and haven't gone back to EOS since. I haven't done side by side comparison so maybe they're more similar than I remember, but I loved TB Reverb right away.

Having said that, if EOS Reverb ever becomes capable of producing that loooooong reverb that Continua produces (with its decay set to 10 seconds) it will definitely be getting used again!

When’s the last time Replicant 2 was updated? Can’t find any version history on App Store page? Anyone know?

I always seem to bash developers, but then, only for a reason.

Yes, no version history for this, which is already enough for me to not buy it and reduce my "inner stars" for such developers.

The copyright says 2007 to 2017, which hints to 2017 as last update.

Many other but not all have some version history, which is why i now bought Continua.

Yeah I couldn’t find it either and it’s been out for like three years I read some of the reviews and people said they had problems on iOS 13 etc. so I was wondering if it hasn’t been updated how is the performance on iOS 14.2. Don’t need Continua, but I’m about to pull the trigger I think.

TB Reverb does everything. It even has a studio preset that glues the sounds together on your master. Best reverb hands down imo. FF Pro-R I would say is great but a different beast.

maybe I should try connecting via the UK AppStore?

If that's where you bought the others. Be careful though, as there can be weird stuff changing app stores.

Some forum members report stability issues but apart from the odd crash, I've generally found them very stable in my 3 years of using them on iOS, often with multiple instances of each in AUM. Effects are generally very CPU efficient. Continua can be a bit CPU heavy but that's the cost of an analogue modelled sound.

I got Spinn for £1 as I had everything else, which makes up for me messing up an Eventide pack like a few others did here

I need to dust that one off and give it another go.

  • OBXD sounds great. I really like it. But no standalone keys, so you need to use as AUv3 or have midi keyboard. Also no preset saving, other then inside a host like AUM.

Mine says $3.99. Bram dropped it to that price and has kept it there since a few months back. Are you showing something lower?

My bet is almost all of them will be discounted, probably not Gauss, they just haven’t all been updated yet in App Store.

  • No, I have the say.

    Forgot about that, thanks!

Damn, definitely getting Mozaic that one was a top-five on my wish list!

  • Time to finally try and attempt to understand what the heck Mozaic does lol
