Launchpad is soooo much with a hardware launchpad my god, if it was AUv3 it would be just killer

Or at least multi out... is that even possible for IAA? 🤔

Excited to try it with my new LPP anyways imagine an import your own samples via drag and drop into this AUv3 plugin? Would be golden right?

I don’t understand why no one did it yet.
A friggin matrix 8x8, push = loop, push again = stop, Import with drag and drop from the files app

Do you have the mk3? Please post your findings as tempted by this myself

All this devs apps are a little long in the tooth but still stable and functional and get the occasional update.

    *Non traditional

Scalemaster Pro won't even open here. And their support page requires forum registration. Pretty poor if you ask me.

A good sign, they just released an update overnight that fixed the issue I was having.

Thanks, have spent far too much the last few days on sales apps but this may be my last £6.99 :)

I'm intrigued by Mutemaster. Can I basically use it sequence (by syncopated muting) something which delivers a constant stream of sound?

I’d personally recommend something like Perforator or Koshiba for that application.

  • Ah, I'm an idiot. I already have Perforator! Thanks

I don't agree with that so much. I am a huge fan and have all the FF plugins for desktop. I've spent enough money with FF though and find that on the iPad the TB plug-ins sound great and are more affordable. The interfaces are not as laser targeted for simpletons like me as FF are but I get by. And the sound quality seems up there so I'm a happy customer of both TB and FF. I do have Saturn though. Not sure there is anything out there to compete with this Swiss Army Knife of distortion and more. Insert the usual caveat here that this is just my worthless opinion.

Me too. Wish one of the "every" videos I've watched left me with some idea of what I would use it for.

  • I've got a definite use-case but realise (thanks to @celtic_elk ) that I already have something that can cater for my need. £5 saved

I think the optimal, but not the only, application of MuteMaster is for testing out mute mixes. Build up a multipart jam in AUM etc and then apply MuteMaster to see (with a multiple of choices) the mix groupings you want. Great way to test compositions.

That's interesting. I have a LP mini gathering dust somewhere. Never though Launchpad and Launchpad might go well together. Well, never knew about the app. Almost seems like it was made by Novation.

  • Makes sense, but I don't tend to work like that so I don't think it would do a lot for me

  • @ruggedsmooth
    I spotted this on Facebook...

  • Looks like it's just a matter of time until we see discounts in DDMF apps

  • I just wanna say TB is so not the poor mans FF replacement. I have all the FF, and just about all the TB. I use them both just about as much tbh. Both have great auv3s, all perfect in their own way to be honest. TB barricade, is a genius for real. But then Pro Q 3 is the sickest eq on instruments, vocals, a lot of audio or midi tracks when mixing. Ill put TB’s eq in a master chain on AUM along with barricade and have just about the same result as if I’m using the FF plug ins on my master in cubasis. Ill use TB and FF in the same track for different feels. Toneboosters deserves its love not just cause they are cheapest but cause they’re damn great.

Do I need both Magic Death Eyes? I currently have neither but am in the market for a top drawer compressor that also works on iPhone

The general consensus is go for the stereo compressor if you can only afford one!

  • Makes sense - thanks!

  • You got it backward.
FF is TB for people who like to yell
    “I’m rich, bitch!”
    😉

    This is facts!

  • Rhythm Bud is only $.99 usually $4.99

Great app. Must buy for $1

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rhythmbud-auv3-midi-fx/id1484320891

  • All *Bud apps are $0.99! Just bought them all!

  • I stand by what I said, nothing to be offended about or take negatively.
Toneboosters are similar with less polish, UI, The prices reflect that.
Never said they were bad, not good or inadequate. They are amazing plugs.
If they were priced the same I would be reaching for the FF every time.

for desktop they aren’t even the “rich mans plugins”, that goes to the 500 dollar EQs and such, haha.

Anyways, just bought a Launchpadpro for my first major BF Friday! Thanks Santa Covid!

the fact that i don’t know the difference between then or understand the benefits of one over the other tells me i am not ready lol

No. Using both does add even more to the tone but no because it's too CPU heavy to double up. Can't think of a case when I'd start with the older design. The stereo has over sampling options to consume every drop of extra CPU.

  • Interesting. Thanks. Literally stereo or don't, basically.

  • @PeteSasqwax said:
Interesting. Thanks. Literally stereo or don't, basically.

The hardware designer of the Magic Death Eye units made a mono one tended to sell them at "matched pairs". Then he created a new design with stereo processing and added EQ controls.

DDMF made a software clone of the mono unit and makes it work like a matched pair with
one set of controls for both "sides". The "Stereo" unit also has one set of controls for both sides. So, don't get hung up on the "stereo" detail... it's not relevant really. But those extra EQ knobs are worth the extra $'s.

NOTE: The Stereo allows "side-chaining" input. The older unit does NOT.
