debating 6144 cuz i heard it just sounds good, but i have so the eq!

I grabbed it and MDE Stereo, I hear they're a killer pair.

    The DDMF sale is great!!
However, this got me to wondering which DDMF apps support AUv3 parameters.
I do see that MDE Stereo compressor does. Does the original MDE also support them?
The two other DDMF apps that I happen to have do not appear to support parameters. So my guess is that none of them do.

careful with K Machine... the app is not as plug and play as the developer makes it out to be and there are promised updates that never came out... its a cool app in theory, but just didnt live up to my expectations

I'll second that! A real piece of overcomplicated junk. Buy only, if you your masochistic needs are starving.

4 new drum kits for $4 each. Need to hear demo's, right?
I wish he had demo loops in the app. Probably something on Youtube
to hear them. EDIT: Not yet. Might be a really new feature with the downloads not quite ready yet. I'm not spending the $4 to find out yet. I can EQ the sets I have and probably be happy but with Luis there may be some magic in these kits that make me jump for one or more of these.

  • I'm tempted by the original MDE. My thoughts are simply: if it uses less CPU it might be helpful to have it as an alternative on my older devices

If I remember this is about 20% off. So that’s like £70 off with bundle now. Anyone remember?

    It was $119.99 yesterday

Wow! Thanks for posting this! I was just able to get all of the Fab Filter apps I didn’t already own for $20. Normally would have cost me $120 (I only had 2 apps that fell into that bundle). So the remaining 5 for $20, what a steal!

It’s not that much easier on CPU actually.

I just got the MDE Stereo and the 6144 eq, really excited to use them. My thought is: aren’t these mastering plugins? So what is the issue with heavy cpu? If by that point you’ve bounced a stereo track and loaded it for mastering, you’d have 1 maybe 2 plugins in there. Is it really too much processing to have MDE stereo plus 6144 plus Saturn and that’s it? Or do cpu problems arise when plugins like MDE stereo get used in the mixing stage with too many other moving parts?

  • MDE stereo has that new compression mode that bites a bit harder. That was always the reason to get both, MDE stereo was more for subtle mastering duties than heavy shaping. I don't think the original is particularly necessary* now other than the pretty lady mode which does look cool.

*Maybe, caveat, don't know what I'm talking about really.

  • It seems wrong not to get Sunvox, I don't particularly need another rabbit hole to crawl into but I'm thinking there's a few modules in there that could be very interesting.

haha that’s exactly what i need

  • Here it is 9:02 AM and I have already finished all my app purchases (so far) 😂:

All the *Buds (ChordBud 2 & Co.) and Litchi (to control my Mavic Mini drone)

Unfortunately, TAL-U-NO-X and TB Reverb are not in the sale. So I buy them as soon as I need them (which means: when AU hosting in Drambo arrives).

grabbed. this app is going on everything. exceptionally easy to dial in without a bunch of screens / graphs i don’t understand and just strait forward knob twisting. that’s my speed! shes ugly but boy does she know how to use her skills

  • Just got all the *Bud apps - been meaning to get StepBud for a while but got them all instead!

Also cykle and fugue machine - both on my list for ages.

All set for a midichristmas! Presumably I can record midi from these into atom 2 when that drops.

  • Does one need the 6641 EQ if I already got the Fabfiöter Q3? Or are they different apps?!?
Got the MDEStereo and excited to hear what the fuzz is all about. #fairydust

I think the main difference is that Pro-Q3 is designed to be 'transparent' while the 6641 is less than 'transparent' as it's design to emulate old neve stuff. I'm also thinking about getting it unless some other deals pop up.

Looks like It was on sale so I got it :)

Like Doug said in one of his videos, it's very hard to make it sound bad and I have to agree.
Get it, You won't regret it!

  • Fundamental is down to £15.99

Have you tried hitting the + button at the bottom of the sounds column on the right side of soft drummer? It takes you to the sound demos. 👍

With 6144 you use your ears only. There are no analyzers/meters.

You should have both really. Or get the Toneboosters EQ instead of FF so that you can also open and tweak projects on iPhone.

I would say it's a must get app. I use it alot in AUM and Cubasis it not only adds more presence to single instruments it works really well on a full mix. It does a great job of lifting hidden instruments to the front of a track without being over loud.

I now have the stereo compressor and the limiter and can't wait to try them out later. AS soon as I saw the sale I was straight in! I was worried the sale would only last a few hours! Ha!

Wondering if I should get the mono compressor as well? would this be over kill as I already have a few from Toneboosters, FF etc.

Looks like it's just a matter of time until we see discounts in DDMF apps

Do I need both Magic Death Eyes? I currently have neither but am in the market for a top drawer compressor that also works on iPhone

The general consensus is go for the stereo compressor if you can only afford one!

the fact that i don’t know the difference between then or understand the benefits of one over the other tells me i am not ready lol

Most people use the stereo compressor on a final mix and the mono compressor on individual tracks. The Stereo compressor also has an basic EQ.

  • They are both stereo compressors.

I’ve spent a shitload these days.
This is the Best Buy, best deal, best bestest. It’s a delay, a reverb and a true satisfied vintage machine. The “mic” knob is magic, black magic. We all talk about “vintage” and it usually some 1760 compressor or ssl console emulation... but it doesn’t really relate to you. I’ve never had an ssl or a 3000€ compressor, this thing sounds like “your life” vintage. Like a skating ring announcement, like an Atari on a TV, like playing guitar though a double decker cassette player in the bathroom.
Seriously, you need it. It’s not even 2€. I was gonna buy FB Saturn but I’m gonna get 10 of these instead.
I’ve been in trance for half an hour. Cykle to IVCS3, recorded half speed to Gauss, some RE-1 feedback and a buckets of Ratshack. Heavens. Btw I didn’t get the Gauss hype, my bad. It’s amazing.

    https://apps.apple.com/es/app/ratshackreverb3/id1438893987?l=en

Edit: @FlightManual i feeeeeeel you (Depeche). Did you get Ratshack?. Do not even dare to come to me with a hilarious list if it doesn’t include Ratshack. Also, can you do many more lists like this ☝️?. Gold.

Did bite after that advertisment 😅

The looks for the standalone are a bit strange:

What do you expect?. It’s made of metal!. You can’t resize metal, can you?.
Have you tried it? Are you in love?. 🙃
