You're in good company! There are a tons of 6144 fans here...

  • @Millwardesque some messed up your spreadsheet a bit

I just tried fixing it, restored the header, it's filter and froze it to stay on top

For anyone who isn't keeping an eye on this awesome resource, here it is:

    Thanks, mate, for this :sunglasses:

Yeah I was reading everyone’s posts about the 6144 by DDMF and while it sounds very cool, it sounds a little too subtle for my newbie unrefined ways😛. I do like the visual feedback of some eqs like the Toneboosters one, Visual EQ console by 4pockets, and (I think) Parametric Equalizer by Blue mango. So... ideally a parametric EQ coupled with a visualizer.... just not sure which one or if I am missing any. My fingers are super crossed for a Toneboosters Back Friday sale!

And to the person that mentioned AUM's built-in EQs... thanks for reminding me! I took a peek at them and I will definitely use these for some basic stuff (roll off los or his etc), but I'm still in the market for a multi-band parametric with visual feedback.

Thanks for the heads-up and the fix-up! Of all days, I haven't kept it up today at all. I'll get it back in shape tonight :)

    GAS!

I gotta say I really like an EQ that also shows the spectrum, so you can see the sound and hear what each cut, boost, filter, and shelf does at the same time. Also the touch interface allows you to plot nodes where you mant them and moves them all around. It lets you feel the sound.

Ratshack is so much fun. Gotta give it to audio damage, they put out stuff at pretty incredibly low prices, even by iOS standards. This is well worth snapping up.

I don’t need another reverb but you convinced me lol

It's more a delay with some reverb-like qualities, as Oat pointed out here before 😝

  • Damn! Chordbud popped back to $4.99 from $.99 😡

  • dang this was a holiday! finished it off by picking up the MDES 👁 ! lots to learn here.. like why does the logo change colors when you touch it.. how do you activate fine tune knobs... thresh link? haha time to RTFM and watch some videos. however all the aside this is really making things that needed dynamic help sound perfect good.

also grabbed 6144 and this is probably my favorite eq so far. it sounds great and really has a solid character i haven’t heard on ios yet.... i don’t care that much for the fancy graphics , picking a bell shape with a drop down menu for each point and multi colorful visuals on eq, i like to just listen and carve with ease and twists. i love the beautiful screens on non eq apps, but something about eq it just gets too picky for me.

also grabbed egoist, finally, some presets from sonal systems, synthmaster one and chomplr.

that’s it! i am done! this month i got all that ^^ gauss, 909, branches, drum computer, kq dixie, and tape pro..whew. no more until 2020 unless it’s atom2 or drambo iap!

DDMF discovered he could improve the over-sampling at the cost of extra CPU resources and the sound got better (clearer?) with each increment of oversampling. So, Each time you press the logo it steps up the oversampling... in 2 steps. Just keep an eye on the CPU because you may need to step back to standard or one-step max.

how do you activate fine tune knobs... thresh link?

On the real hardware units those are little screw head adjustments you set one time and just forget. DDMF is so accurate about the image-based user interface that he makes these small
dots to be the screw knobs. Hit them dead on and slide away and it will display the setting as a visual value.

Most of the controls on MDE are subtle and frankly it's just wonderful not as a tool of science but as a great "tube saturator" that adds beautiful coloring to the audio flowing through it. There rest is useful for compression and getting a good gain staging for the output. But it's the color that makes it so important. It's a spice, really. IMHO. You can't use it wrong in my opinion. Trust your ears on the compression and watch the VU's in the DAW to set the output level. Done.

ahh over sampling! durr! i didn’t read the code OvSp haha makes sense now!
you’re right, just messing with this guy on different aum sessions for about an hour and it really is subtle but in a “less is more” kind of way.
it brings things out that are buried and let’s you kinda see where the mixing is not up to par, and put just enough spice on things to breathe some life into them.

do you know if you can do these things the desktop version can...
mono the low end/ mid, side the high
    and
    link the in and out..

  • Decent samples iap sounds are super discounted. I got them all and they really worth it.

I do not. I just season my for with it. I'd be curious to know the correct answers. I'd ping the developer. I'm sure he appreciates the extra wave of income from these Black Friday customers.

  • Isn't that MDE one of the sexiest interfaces you ever saw btw? Even though I generally prefer non-skeumorphic I love that UI.

It makes me wish AUM offered a 19 inch rack UI mode like Reason had (has?).

Shut up you have a problem not me, I’m fine

I put some money in my bank account yesterday and had to look at my statement. It had about £140 going to Apple, this month, at that point and I spent another £30 after that. This thread is lethal.

Would be interested to know how much you have saved this last week? 😁

This is the approach of a true professional! Never admit how much you spent, only how much you didn't

Feeling mildly hungover this morning despite not drinking anything. Ended up making undulating drones in AUM which were so beautifully soothing they sent me to sleep with the heating on too high.

It's far too embarrassing to mention.

  • I decided to limit myself to only those funds I had in my PayPal account which meant I thought I was done until yesterday evening when I sold some things on eBay and added another £60 of appstore ammunition...

I also swam with my appstore purchases last days and spent 84 $ for 24 apps / iap at the moment, but having approach of a true professional the good news is that I didn't spent additional 131 $ B) The bad news is I still thinking about a few apps more.

ps. The worse news is that the equivalent of 84 $ USA appstore prices in my country is 109 $ appstore prices (+30%), in Sweeden is even worse.

I made a small comparisson for "Hammond B3-X" app which in USA appstore cost 130 $, based on the currency rate from today:

    • in Turkey it's 1200 TRY, which is 151 $ (17% more expensive)
    • in Poland it's 630 PLN, which is 168 $ (30% more expensive)
    • in Mexico it's 3400 MXD, which is 170 $ (31% more expensive)
    • in England it's 130 GBP, which is 174 $ (34% more expensive)
    • in Germany it's 150 EUR, which is 178 $ (38% more expensive)
    • in Sweeden it's 1595 KR, which is 188 $ (45% more expensive) - almost half price more

Unlike the rest, one of the richest countries in the world QATAR pays only 1.5% more, I don't get it.

    • in Qatar it's 480 QAR, which is 132 $ (1.5% more expensive)
