Are all the sales cancelled yet? Do I still have to stay at home? 😳🥳
Most of the sales are indeed cancelled, alas you still need to stay at home
Cubasis 3 still on Sale until 7th December - I have V2 already, is it worth upgrading?
Sugar Bytes will be on sale until when ? I'm not sure what to buy. I hope I still have a day or 2.
Yonac apps and IAPs are on sale.
Sugar Bytes until December the 6th.
For those still hesitating, jump on the GeoSwam bundle. You will then struggle having any discount if you start with individual IAP (my case).
They have a Universal license that works with as many iDevices as you want and is only $10 more on their website. With discount that is a $30 license right now. All my iDevices from my original 1st Gen iPad, old iPhones that I use for various purposes, and my current iPhone and iPad all get backed up over WiFi regularly. No iTunes involved. It is nice peace of mind.
and Korg has extended the 50% sale until Dec 28th
Ah I missed the Yearly Fee part. That's a bummer. My license predates this policy and is a permanent license which I've had for years.
For that price, 100%! I think it's under-rated and has some cool gritty sounds. I'd gladly use it in an industrial sci-fi soundtrack.
I ignored it, but then learned it was AUv3.
Looked really interesting all of a sudden.
It sounds pretty good to me, and has a cool built in step sequencer that will be fun to figure out.
$2 for a $10 synth I didn’t even know I wanted, but now I like it after trying it.
Same with me. I’ve seen it in the app store before but never really thought anything of it. I bought it randomly yesterday and just tried it today and I’m really impressed with the sound. I definitely think I’m going to be using this synth a lot more that I thought I was going to. And for 2 bucks? Literally a no brainer
Phase 84 back to $9.99.
i grabbed it today for 2$
not amazing or anything but can find a place on the mix, seems like it’ll cut thru a mix good
@Strizbiz asks: Soooooo should I upgrade to Ableton suite?
Oh yes, you very much should. I took the plunge a few months back, a big decision financially for me but totally worth it, and Suite is the one to go for, not only for the shedloads of extra excellent content you get from Ableton themselves, but absolutely for Max For Live. This guy is worth checking out to explain it:
Because, slightly like the Mozaic thing here (but much, much easier to use because the M4L gadgets always work consistently just like ‘real’ Ableton things) there is a vigorous free community of Max nerds making instruments, effects and midi wranglers that the rest of us mere mortals can use, very much like the IOS ecosystem, so you can find midi generators, wacky granulators, and pretty much anything else audio and midi both that you can imagine there, and all avoiding the wince making prices the pro level VSTs require.
Go for it. You won’t regret it. And with the interoperability between Ableton, Blocs Wave and the other apps capable of exporting complete Ableton Live Sets... just wow!
I did warn people about this in my video, it's such a pity you can't upgrade from individual apps to the bundle, this is not Moforte's fault, it's to do with the way Apple handles IAPs apparently.
I’m wondering the same
What are you missing in V2?
I'm missing All the new features in version 3
But grouping tracks and iPhone support sound very useful. One thing that bugged me about V2 was that you couldn't 'Join' audio after it was split, so editing audio tracks was a little clumsy. How is this in V3?
Thing is, I have no interest at all in anything but the Cello. I'm yet to hear anything with the Violin that sound worth getting but if I do it might interest me. If they had a Cello sale I would have grabbed it.
"Glue" still only works for MIDI, not audio 😳. Maybe in V4.
Cubasis 3 in my opinion is much nicer to use than 2 and I wouldn’t hesitate if it’s 50% off.
Others have had lots of issues with crashes, I have not.
An update is coming soon which does address some the stability issues (according to at least one beta tester I know of).
That’s the thing . Not entirely sure . CB has become my main daw so I’m thinking maybe it’s best to up grade. Grouping tracks isn’t really important to me, so I was just wondering if CB3 was more stable ? I still get the odd glitch with some apps and wondering if that’s still the case with CB3.
Steinberg say they did a complete re-write of the app so expect fixes as much as new glitches.
🙂
I can’t wait for ToneStack AUv3! (Which Jessi confirmed on his Twitter!)
And this... pattern midi change (much needed in my case) is coming.
...
re pattern change, bloody good news!
Yes, please!
Hope it has an IAP option. Wouldn't want to rebuy the motherloads
