I can’t wait for ToneStack AUv3! (Which Jessi confirmed on his Twitter!)

Really?? I’m in on those sale IAPs then. Can’t say not to an AUv3 guitar app.

Hope it has an IAP option. Wouldn't want to rebuy the motherloads

Yup! He said it was coming. When? I have no idea.

All he said was “it’s coming!” and “it’s a lot of work!”

If the AUV3 is a new app and not an update, all of the IAPs may have to be repurchased. I hope not but I can’t see them giving all of it away for free.

:| I feel like this week wont end. bought 10 plugins on mac+NI Komplete+upgraded to Ableton11+roland cloud ultimate1year
and 19 apps on ios so far :# -and MANY iaps- :#

Lol, I’m really really tempted to upgrade from Ableton lite to Ableton suite 10 for $519 ( and get a free update to Ableton 11 suite!!!! Last time I check Ableton suite was like $700 I think? Omg, I really do have fomo on this sale, and also a sale to upgrade to Reason from Reason Intro at like 30% off 😂😂😂 lord help me. Soooooo should I upgrade to Ableton suite?

you should!!!! 'ableton11 just killed every daw' is def the only comment I would make -😬im not a decap fan. but he's just right about this one-
if you've lite license, you can buy 10 standard for $290. you will get a free upgrade to 11 standard. and this would give you the chance to see if you really need max4live etc. I think standard version could also be your dream daw if you'r not into cv/maxmsp/osc/etc -yeah Im one of those max fans 🤖 so I had to get suite-

I just went ahead and grabbed the suite, I definitely wanted to get that wavetable synth, I’m loving it and everything else, lately I’ve been putting together ideas in Amplify Groovebox then exporting them as Ableton projects but having only 8 tracks with Live lite was kinda not letting me really take them too much further, I have to explore Max4live though, been hearing about it forever but never used it 🤷🏽‍♂️

woow! so happ happy for u! welcome to the fam! 🥳 you'll def enjoy it! dont forget to sign up for the 11beta! and just go and create an account on max community you can start with exploring the devices shared by other users. and Im always here if u've any q

Thanks so much for your input, you definitely helped get me off the fence and I’m really really loving it, I’ve been up all night the last couple days lol. So I do have a question already 😁 what are you using as a controller? I’m using an APC40 mk2, which I do like but now I’m wondering about the Push 2?

  • "All he said was “it’s coming!” and “it’s a lot of work!” "

I have heard about this update for years. I'm certainly not holding my breath.

Please, please, please do not start a ToneStack AUv3 coming soon!!! thread. We already have more than enough "coming soon" threads languishing about! 🤣

@Strizbiz asks: Soooooo should I upgrade to Ableton suite?

Oh yes, you very much should. I took the plunge a few months back, a big decision financially for me but totally worth it, and Suite is the one to go for, not only for the shedloads of extra excellent content you get from Ableton themselves, but absolutely for Max For Live. This guy is worth checking out to explain it:

Because, slightly like the Mozaic thing here (but much, much easier to use because the M4L gadgets always work consistently just like ‘real’ Ableton things) there is a vigorous free community of Max nerds making instruments, effects and midi wranglers that the rest of us mere mortals can use, very much like the IOS ecosystem, so you can find midi generators, wacky granulators, and pretty much anything else audio and midi both that you can imagine there, and all avoiding the wince making prices the pro level VSTs require.

Go for it. You won’t regret it. And with the interoperability between Ableton, Blocs Wave and the other apps capable of exporting complete Ableton Live Sets... just wow!

I upgraded to the suite 2 days ago and extremely happy I did 😁😁😁 but thanks so much for this video, just WOW!!!! This really opened my eyes! Now I feel like a kid in a candy store lol, this is going to be an amazing ride!

Lucky you, I need a "Track will be started soon" thread...
(Just as soon as I figure out the perfect combination of DAW, synths, drums, controllers, effects, etc.)

  • Not a Music App but its great to quickly share your screen to someone else’s for 2-10 minutes. It Has all kinds of potential creative, helping, learning, working, applications. You can share an idea, a beat, or anything from your screen to someone else’s screen while working together on a track, album, etc, even while on the phone at the same time.

@Paulo164 I just wanted to thank you for your recommendation - it helped me make up my mind to take the plunge, and I'm sure I'll be glad I did.

BTW, the UI is confusing for me. My friend bought BarbaXDrums too and he told me the same thing.

I did warn people about this in my video, it's such a pity you can't upgrade from individual apps to the bundle, this is not Moforte's fault, it's to do with the way Apple handles IAPs apparently.

Thing is, I have no interest at all in anything but the Cello. I'm yet to hear anything with the Violin that sound worth getting but if I do it might interest me. If they had a Cello sale I would have grabbed it.

I find the GeoSWAM wind instruments--all of them--to be more expressive than the cello and violin models.

Expression isn't the only deciding factor. I love the sound of oboe for example, but I have never had a use for it in my music and can't see that happening.

I don't think so - it streams from a client app to their server (you need an account with them) and people can view the stream via a browser - not sure if they need any specific plug in but they reckon it works on any device / browser.

Cubasis 3 still on Sale until 7th December - I have V2 already, is it worth upgrading?

    I’m wondering the same

What are you missing in V2?

That’s the thing . Not entirely sure . CB has become my main daw so I’m thinking maybe it’s best to up grade. Grouping tracks isn’t really important to me, so I was just wondering if CB3 was more stable ? I still get the odd glitch with some apps and wondering if that’s still the case with CB3.

Steinberg say they did a complete re-write of the app so expect fixes as much as new glitches.

    🙂

So I caved in and bought CB3! Liking it so far. Yes, I've noticed a few glitches but overall running smoothly and seems a bit more speedy than CB2.

  • I don't feel confident to stream to their server. If it was local network I'd use it
Unless they map the devices remotely and streaming is local

I got a response for an Apple store review for Cubasis 3 and a guy names Lars (already quite famous on this forum) wrote, that an update will arrive in a few weeks, that should improve stability (so much needed). If anyone is still hesitating about staying on older platform CB2.
