Thanks everyone for the GeoSwam/GeoShred info i appreciate it...as i said i am not up to speed on this stuff but you have given me good information...i will probably scoop up the bundle
peace
You picked a good'un though! Congrats.
He @McD you got one, an EWI, great. The whole controlChain for Mozaic was made for EWI.
The sostenuto script can transform pitchbend up into sostenuto. The bipolarSplitter script can transform pitchbend down into a high precission 14 bit cc to control Model 15.
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/35373/controlchain-for-mozaic
Also add the multiChannelProgramChanger script to change patches with the two top notes of your EWI.
I will check out your scripts since you wrote them for EWI uses. I know how it feels to share
a script and wait to see if anyone actually makes something with it. You get stats on downloads but then it's usually a blackhole.
Not iOS but a stupid good deal:
iZotope Iris2 and BeatTweaker are $10 each
Regular $150 and $239
@McD The downloads counter seems inacurate to me, when downloading on iPad it does not register.
If you need help with setting it all up, lets dicuss that in the original thread...
Where?
Plugin Boutique and iZotopes own site
you should!!!! 'ableton11 just killed every daw' is def the only comment I would make -😬im not a decap fan. but he's just right about this one-
if you've lite license, you can buy 10 standard for $290. you will get a free upgrade to 11 standard. and this would give you the chance to see if you really need max4live etc. I think standard version could also be your dream daw if you'r not into cv/maxmsp/osc/etc -yeah Im one of those max fans 🤖 so I had to get suite-
and I havent checked GM ios + Yonacs yet.. 😬🔫
@zah, the demos are roundly frowned upon. Many good examples of how they really can sound are on the forum. Here’s my use of the violin. On a keyboard, so, obviously Can be much better on the glass. I found the sax a bit disappointing, but, again, just on the keyboard. $49 for the bundle is a great deal.
geoshred pro/control can't be used as an AU plugin, can it?
When I use geoshred play as an IAA in AUM, I get nasty noises as soon as i switch back to aum...
I agree the demo's are not the best performances. Check these out by the ABF member @ion677:
He's uses a standard MIDI keyboard but relies on the "low velocities" trigger portamento feature to add extra stylistic touches. He's obviously a gifted keyboard-based musician.
He's got it set up so a loud velocity creates a hard marcato (I think that's the proper term)
attack... where the bow's resin scratches the string. I was sure he was using the GeoShred UI but he said it's an Arturia KetStep 37 controller.
There are some good GeoShred performers but these 2 demos are highlights for me on the forum.
Just bought the bundle an hour ago and i must say i am loving these...funny but i thought i wouldn't be interested in the sax but just was playing it on my iphone 6sPlus and loving it (I also have a 12.9 ipad)
i am an acoustic guitar player in terms of songwriting etc so i have to get hours in on the app to figure out my playing style, but it really feels like learning an instrument vs messing around on a midi keyboard (i am not a keyboard player)
if you already have geoshred and you are on the fence i would say get the bundle if you are drawn to at least a couple of the instruments. i love cello and violin and they both are awesome. i loaded the flute and in 30 seconds i was playing an Ian Anderson riff lol
iris2 👍🏽 breaktweaker👎🏽 🤷🏽♀️
how so?
we still covering sales here 😂😂😂
@McD, hadn’t heard those. Wonderfully done. Prefer the cello.
@ion677 has made some excellent GeoShred SWAM performances using just an Arturia StepKey 37 note controller. I think he controls vibrato initiation with the mod wheel and
uses the "Low Velocity for Portamento" option. Very expressive. I'll he transcribed the
"Schindler's List" violin solo unless he picked up a music book with that level of detail.
@audiblevideo you dont need it if you have a daw like Ableton or a plugin like Reaktor
and there are also amazing ios apps for drum sculpting/sequencing
Individual SWAM instrument sale would be great. This deal is still nearly $80 here.
Pro is auv3
You convinced me to buy MDES.
But I Stay Home Alone Because DDMF Canceled Every Sale. Prices went up again. Damn.
To an extent I agree, but remember that everything submitted to Youtube is subjected to a considerable amount of compression, so the audio recordings recently uploaded here demoing the GeoSWAM instruments are probably a far better indicator of the quality of these instrument models. But I’d still like to hear good demos of the sax, flute and oboe. The strings sound amazing.
@DSCB57 If the YT demos don't sound convincing then it's not the m4a compression for sure.
@jscheel eg pulse does have random pattern creation but only 1 pad lame at a time, so I actually misspoke earlier. Also in EGP making a kit can be faster, select 16 samples to drag and drop, and it auto populates, but In DS you have to drag and drop each sample to each pad, but Maybe that’s because of the velocity layers.
Edit: My post landed in the wrong thread. Weird.
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your kind words of encouragement, nice to know. Cheers, ED
Thanks for making me brave enough to take the plunge on my first sequencer adventure, really appreciate the vid and your help. Cheers, ED
Of course! I just posted my first creation utilizing the amazing Cykle here if you want to have a listen. I’ll be using this a lot!
