amazing company with another amazing update
wow! thanks for your incredible feedback
Another awesome update!
Any videos showing the MPC Mini support? I don't have one, but they're cheap enough that I'd consider getting one to play with. I do, however, have a LPX and OG LP Pro, so depending on the timeline for them to be supported I could just wait.
This appears to be working correctly now. Thanks!!!!!
Wow, never thought of that, but that will be nice and
Thanks... midi export.. interesting..
For the next 48 hours we are doing 50% OFF MATRIX module!
Thank you all for your support!
Midi export! 🤩🤩🤩 Ok, now I will definitely learn this app. Channel routing has been the biggest gaff for me. Any way we can get an undo button for when I forget to change to a different clip for recording?
I was hoping to assign a separate channels to the different controllers, but I can only change the MIDI channel globaly. 🤔 For example I wanna change some CC on channel 1 with the first slider and something on channel 5 with the second slider. 😐
Hrmmm...it's a bit of a hack, but you could open another instance or two of LK and assign it to the specific Midi Channel or Channels you want to affect...
@Artvarg Standalone might be a problem, but if you're working alongside AUM you don't need to worry about channel so much. Go to AUM and make the other app's CC you want to control the same Channel and Parameter.
What's the idea of MIDI Export to Ableton ? I know is a feature a lot of ppl likes but i don't get it. I'm still in between iOS/Desktop world.
I know i can write MIDI from LK in iOS and play with my instruments there, but in Ableton i don't have any VSTs or that kind of things, just want to use Ableton for creating/mixing.
Does this help me in any way ?
@sinosoidal bought all iap other then matrix to show you my love❤️ You really did an amazing job constantly improving this app.
10 stars and more deserved.
We have got a Launchpad X and a Launchpad Mini Mk2 to implement next
Eh? there is an undo button.
Ahh. I see that now. Yes, that would be nice.
Am I right in thinking the ‘Matrix’ IAP is basically a piano roll?
If so, how does it compare to Atom/what we know about Atom 2?
Where? I admit I have tried this app maybe a handful of times and I really want to love it. It has a lot of cool features but I keep getting roadblocked. Admittedly I think it's my own impatience. Undo would make it much easier to continue from my blunders. Where exactly is it? Also does it undo like ableton or like atom? I love atom but wish the undo would undo notes that were played in.
It also allows you to launch and loop clips as you would in Modstep, Ableton Live, GarageBand or Zenbeats ... if you're familiar with any of those. Each "piano roll" is a cell in a grid. When you tap the grid the clip starts playing. if you tap the a cell in the row at the far right, all clips in that row play. Only one cell from each track (column) plays at once. Each track can go to a different midi channel.
There are other tools available as IAP purchases, such as a keyboard, chords module, midi controllers (knobs, faders, buttons), and pads.
If you use Ableton Live, it can be a remote controller for it.
Thanks for that. It looks like it doesn't undo notes played in though. Bummer.
It does for me? I seem to be misunderstanding you.
I played in notes with lk chorder. When I hit undo, it removed the entire clip instead of just the notes. Atom has a similar functionality where the undo only effects drawing in or functions such as quantize etc.
Which this isn't such a big deal with atom because each synth is routed specifically to each instance of Atom. It's easy to go in and clear the few flubbed notes.
But it's quite different with lk because I don't realize I'm recording over the same clip until it loops and at that point, I have to start over on 2 clips, or tediously go back and remove each note. Either way it's a buzz kill and I almost immediately exit aum and just use atom.
I think if you stop recording, then start a new recording session, it only undoes the last notes recorded. But, sounds like you just don’t get along with LK. nothing wrong with that.
I want to. I love all the features that have been added and seems similar to ableton workflow. And I admit it's mostly user error, but it hasn't seemed too forgiving thus far.
After I posted I went back and tried stopping the clip and recording in after. Same result. Undo removed the whole clip.
I just bought this and have a few questions. Why can’t you copy and paste a clip into a blank row (ie. one with no clips in it)? I assumed that you would be able to paste into a blank space and the clip would then appear there, but no. Or that you would be able to double tap into a blank row/scene to create a new clip. But it seems like you have to create a whole new scene before you can copy and paste anything. Is that right?
Also, is there a way to set a default bar length for a new clip? Or to record a clip that extends until you stop recording? Clips defaulting to one bar and with no extend recording seems like an oversight if there’s no way to get around it, and is a bit of a workflow killer unless you set everything up in advance.
My biggest question, though, is why can’t you extend the viewable clips area? The moveable clip handle (revealing the piano roll and clip properties) moves all the I/O stuff up the screen and obscures scenes as it does so (which is the wrong priority IMO), but there is (seemingly) no ability to increase the number of scenes you can see at once and collapse the I/O info. Surely once you’ve set the I/O to your liking, there’s no reason to have it on screen at all! Seems like a weird design decision from a usability standpoint. Surely there’s a way to get rid of all the I/O info and still be able to record into a clip, AND have more clips available to see at once? Maybe there could be a similar handle to the clip handle, which extends the number of scenes available and collapses the I/O instead. (EDIT: The ‘MIDI’ button collapses this! I thought that switched it back into Ableton Live mode for some reason, but apparently not. Hooray!)
Once I managed to get the AUv3 window into a size position (by manually dragging) where I couldn’t move it or get out of it so I was completely stuck, though I guess this is more of an AUM issue!
Hopefully there are already answers for most of these, and it’s just noob user error! Some pointers would be appreciated.
Just trying out Chorder in an attempt to fully embrace LK. Can anyone tell me how to change the root note? I’ve learnt all sorts of things trying, but I can’t seem to get out of C.
EDIT: no, not possible to change root note at this moment in time.
Bought! And if by some miracle all the other IAPs go on sale soon… Maybe for Black Friday, I’ll buy the rest of them!
