What is supposed to happen if you tap on the slot as it's being recorded?
It is supposed to stop recording and play from the beggining. There was a bug indeed. Should be fixed on the next build. Thanks for pointing this out.

I really like the new extending clip feature, it massively improves the workflow.
Please can we have the ability to change the default clip length too? Or maybe creating a new scene could default each track to the clip length present in the scene above?

Random any is any clip including itself, random other means other than itself.

Made a song in AUM with LK as the master brain. Thought I’d share it with you.
LK behaved flawlessly, really loving the app and all the new features. I did go though a nightmare trying to incorporate audio parts (guitars) in the song. Triggered Drambo sampler with LK, but the audio side in general just doesn’t go easy. Would you do an “Audio LK” audio clip launcher?. Or add an audio file IAP, something basic to play some files (and loop).
I learned a lot doing this. LK in AUM is a lot of fun. Dealing with audio wasn’t.

Let's hope they have long-term plans for including audio as well:) Right now, in MIDI mode, you get Volume and Pan when you tap on the Master button. These don't make much sense at the moment, I don't think they have any purpose (?). But for audio they would ...
They have purpose if the app or hardware you're sending to supports those midi commands. Most don't, but they're legit midi cc's.
Ah, so they do send CC 7 and 10? I hadn’t checked. Good to know, one can map to sensible destinations.

Ok this is frustrating and maybe I am doing something wrong. I started on the beta and it will not save any changes I make if I state save in AUM?? When I had the release candidate, I could just save AUM and my changes would be reflected. So do I have to save the project within LK now every time I make a change????
No it should still work, best to report the bug if it’s reproducible in the TestFlight feedback. I’m on latest build and seems to be working ok here.
Will do. Make suer I am not an idiot.... before the beta I just used the default patch and never save it with in LK I just saved in AUM and it saved my changes. I thought I would rename and start with a new patch/project and every time I dont save with in LK it wont save. So what you are saying is that you can have a patch and had clips and scenes and what ever and you dont save within LK? Just saving in AUM and it state saves? I wonder if this is that I am on 14.1 IOS. I know that there are issues and 14.2 fixes that.

Yeah I always save just in AUM and it saves everything, but I’m on iOS 13.7, so it could be a 14 bug
No problem in iOS 14.1, it saves perfectly fine.
You are using the AUv3 in AUM, not the standalone?
Yes, but I am on the beta so...... I dont know if this is the problem. In order for me to save anything I have to save the project within LK. @sinosoidal let me know if this is something I need to take offline with you.

Worth to note that the 'issues' regarding AUv3 state-saving will most likely be fixed in the coming iPadOS14.2 update which will likely drop during next week...
Thanks!. LK was the missing piece in dawless song performing. That is, until the lack of a proper, nice and simple audio file player became apparent when trying out that setup.
It’s been mentioned here about LK getting audio clips. I understand the complications. As of now it’s used, at least in AUM, as a midi plugin. Hard to get audio out of there.
Alright I’m having great fun with the new Drumcomputer and LK. Using a clip in LK to launch patterns in DC, simply having a clip play notes C-2 and up.
Got an idea, with the follow action ‘generate melody’, and setting a custom scale, LK will randomly play patterns from DC! Only 1 thing, I can’t set LK to the range of only in C-2. It will include C-1... Perhaps a suggestion to change that? So range would be possible within 1 octave? So C-2 ~ C-2.

It is not impossible to have LK playing audio clips. It is just a matter of choice. Right now we are focused in making it a great midi workstation. About the future... who knows!
This makes sense and we have ourselves stumbled on this before. We will fix it!
