Iv got a good apparillo patch. Used to build mapping. Gonna be a track.
Is it me, or is it missing a live record button?! I've mapped this out on my controller, but I can't record into the sequencer by punching in beats... What's the dealeo?
Does anyone know where the restore purchase option is on this thing? I’ve just switched to a new iPad and now I can’t use DC inside a DAW.
Just make sure you’re logged into the same apple account on the App Store and tap on the purchase/get button again. Agree to purchase and it will tell you that you already own it, and ask you if you’d like to download it again for free.
I can’t actually find the purchase button either. From memory, I’m pretty sure it was here?
@drcongo you bought it already, right?
It’s exactly in this frame. Right below the robo drummi is the purchase button
You want to tap in a beat live? No, DC has no record feature. Grid entry on the sequencer only.
I wouldn't say no to a record button either.

SUGAR BYTES!
HEY!
Love,
Flight Manual
So DrumComputer is free? I just downloaded it and it's free. There is an in-app purchase for a bunch of stuff but it seems I can use it free otherwise. Same with Looperator, Factory, and Aparillo. Is that how it's always been?
There's a free demo version with limited functionality. Then if you need the full program you have to pay. It is worthy.
Yeah, purchased already but transferred to a new iPad yesterday and it no longer works inside a DAW. Maybe it’s a bug.
Just in case it helps anyone else, I had to delete and reinstall the app to make the restore option appear and it works now.
Update: sent the following to Sugar Bytes...
Love it!
Love it love it love it!
Amazing what I can do with Drum Computer.
As a frequent flyer over at the Audiobus forum, there are three big feature requests...
TEMPO ON HEADER BAR
We really need access to tempo on all screens.
RECORD BUTTON
Tapping in MIDI would be (chef's kiss)
EASY MULTI-SAMPLE INPUT
Too many steps, sample by sample, for each of the possible slots for samples.... Would love to have folders too... Actually, this is a request for every app anyway.
Love,
Flight Manual
we need a petition haha
i’ll send an email too
And a better preset transfer to desktop version, my presets (with imported samples) do not transfer the samples.. Desktop’s in demo..
The desktop is a must buy now..
I am glad the free version lets you use link! That is ace, and yea making the kits is funner and overall jamming is fun!
I mostly want all the values to pop up next to your finger when changing a parameter (like probability etc), right now it’s hidden beneath your finger so kinda messy to dial in certain stuff.
Does anyone else find it too easy to trigger the MIDI Learn feature when adjusting controls?
Yes - it can be a real nuisance. It comes on far too quickly.
I applaud the email sent to support at Sugar Bytes.
However, for new feature requests, I wonder if a post to their forum would be effective. I think new features will likely be deployed cross-platform, and a discussion including users of other platforms might be more convincing than individual letters.
A problem in other SB apps, as well (Turnado drives me crazy with the MIDI Learn popping up all the time).
But hecky, first world problems and all. Especially given how bullet proof SB apps are. Top notch fun and creativity.
Cant say Im an expert but maybe Id wish for patterns to be bars also. 16 would repeat 16 times etc ( to fit with other sequencers ) not just jump from programmable 1-16 patterns of bars. I think there could be enough variation with rolls, pitch and synth sounds ( controls )
Maybe the probabilty wouldnt seem random though.
Has anyone else had a problem with a sample triggering multiple times when they play it with a midi controller? I have tried it with a couple and both of them do the same thing.
Also saving pattern speeds across patterns.
I think.
Is the roll option on? Theres a piano for pitch and a roll per voice.
Id say its obvious you have roll off but just in case.
Id use Drambo for drums as it has better options but not good rolls ( maybe its me ) Maybe I just need to quit rolls as its borderline djing ( dj driving people mad )
Iv spent my whole time on ios just not bothering without a decent roll but to many rolls, is too many rolls.
Different pattern speeds across patterns. 4/4 to drum and bass etc.
State saving across patterns ( sounds ) a bonus.
Do something you can only do with unlock and buy unlock will pop up. Like export audio. And I believe there is a restore button on that same pop up.
For some reason I am not getting as much fun out of Drum Computer as I hoped. Maybe my expectations were to high or something - but I just don’t feel as inclined to open it and use it as often as I expected.
I am however unable to keep my paws away from Pure Acid ever since the step conditions update - ‘sweet as a nut mate‘ I believe is the urban parlance. This in combination with random background sprinkles provided by Groovebox (user saved kits with the bass drum/ snare etc turned down) is getting me there at the moment.
