  • Is the only way to change tempo in standalone in settings. It’s pretty hard to get tempo where you want it.

If there's another way, I haven't found it.

impossible really lol, but i think it’s meant to be used as an auv3 and sync to host, i feel like the standalone is just a great way for people to demo before they buy it, which i wish more apps would do

What @reasOne said about the auv3 is correct. Tempo handled by host.
In standalone, long press the tempo display & it will produce a pop up text field where you can type in exact number.

    Egoist has this feature too.

This is great stuff. Loving creating custom sounds. A question though. Does anyone understand the pitch meters. Are they semi tones? There is pitch for all the oscillators. How do you know what key the final product comes out as?

That would be next to impossible. The pitch is affected by three different sources, modulations, and envelopes.

Is there a tool available on iOS that can accurately identify the pitch of single sounds?

AnalyserFX by 4Pockets contains a note detector as part of the suite

Yea that’s what I figured but it’s still a blast in standalone, the tempo should definitely be easier to change. Yea I’m definitely buying but still haven’t pulled the trigger. Pay day ain’t too far away.

Thanks for the long press tip. Did not know that. Cheers.

    So, to developers:

Hey, we need an easy way to manage the tempo on every page. Maybe top banner?

Also, an option to "keep tempo when switching songs/presets" would be excellent. Or "slave to Link" would be good... Switching presets when Ableton link is activated makes everything connected jump to that tempo.

Lastly, sample management? I am aware after importing samples that they were only available to the instrument I was on. I tried dropping samples through Files and they do not appear. Since I have quite a few samples and sample folders, would love to be able to drag and drop into the User section on the file management. Importing sample by sample is not fun.

To those that haven't tried sample import, it was amazing what I did get to do to some of my favorite sounds. So much potential for breathing new life into them by shaping them and scrubbing through them. Is an awesome feature... Just tedious.

Also, I tried 8 outs from Drum Computer in Aum through 8 Effectrix Auv3 instances. Whoa, dudes. Talk about crazy.

  • @flightmanual. I agree on the user folder and switching tempos. I’ve already emailed them about the former. They are responsive and open, so maybe good to send that through their website too.

  • @FlightManual user sample import in Files works, but you have to use iCloud: check iCloud sync in advanced settings and the user sample folder (and other folders) appears in iCloud drumcomputer folder and you can import multiple samples in there and they show up in the user folder in the AU.

Yeah, would be nice if it was in the "on my ipad" app folder though.

Thanks @carnbot. Looks like that's files only though right? Folders aren’t showing up for me, unless they just aren’t syncing.

Yeah custom user folders don't work across all their apps yet, unfortunately.

I did not know that at all! Thanks!

  • Good drum machine. I think it will be easy to add some additional volca drum.

  • Anyone know about the keyboard midi control? Have made it so nanokey can trigger rolls, then wasnt that bothered as scatterbrain is good but decided to keep rolls on keyboard.

    Switching patterns?

I may have 16 spare buttons.

Do they have to be a note that equals 0 onwards?

  • Its cool. Its shows you on screen the note.

  • ah. How annoying. Nano controller only goes to c-1. Notes for patterns start on c-2. Hope theres a setting in drum computer.

  • Really need -/+ sequencer controls for ‘Pitch and Dec’..

If using Drum Computer inside AUM you can transpose notes for the channel down an octave to compensate (below the channel filter)

C-1 is not a constant, it varies by manufacturer.

DrumComputer C-2 is MIDI Note 0, which is the same note as C-1 on nano controller.

Hi . -C1 is lowest in AUM. How many semi tones to go to -C2

    Thanks.

Whose C-2 are you referring to? Korg? Yamaha? Sugar Bytes?

  • @soundtemple @sigma79 the lowest note on AUM keyboard is MIDI NOTE 0

This corresponds to C-2 in DrumComputer

Even easier: the mapping keyboard in DC has numbers on the keys at every C: 0, 12, 24, etc. Those are MIDI note numbers. Just count up or down to figure out which note number you need to send for your current mapping. Easy peasy.

  • Thanks.

Theres a pattern number missing. Even though it seems to tally. Adjusted semi tones. Then when aum was back to +0 semi tone and I think no adjustment. It tallies with drum computer but pattern 2 isnt mapped. Its c hash-1 compared to drum computer c hash-2. I cant see properly either. Like ket. Not good.

  • ahh midi channel.

    Blindish.

  • Thanks.

    Fixed.

Mad controller setup with Sb drums. Drambo sequencing auv3s and midi drambo samplers ( record and transport )
