This looks like a decent app! Kind of what I hoped Chomplr might be. Interested to see where this goes.
(See, I can be nice even if it isn’t AUv3 out the gate...)
But it’s really hard...
Not to point out...
That a new iOS app in this day and age...
Mmmmffffffmmmmnggghhhhhffffff
🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
Make sure you interested ppl get on the mailing list to get the discount when it gets released.
$10 is already a good price, but even cheaper is even better.
I wonder if it will have time-stretching and re-pitching without changing speed.
Holy shit I’m so excited.
Plus plus...
The discount will be 10%. I'm not sure I want to receive a lot of ads just because I sold my email for 1$.
I’ll be interested to see how they do a discount. Being in the Apple developer program for many years, I don’t think it is possible without a weird previous app bundle offering.
Upgrade pricing, easier try before you buy, and discount codes to gather customer contacts would all be great in the App Store. BUT NO, they want subscriptions. < end rant> oops, shouldn’t derail the thread - the app looks pretty polished (just like Andrew’s videos)
Andrew Huang said the app has been two years in the making.
Wow! Looks awesome and user friendly 🤩
It looks like the discount will be 20%
Looks like a bare bones version of bm3.
I would guess it would just be a simple introductory discount available to everybody for a limited time.
Wednesday!
Christmas in December!
Edit: errr
Hrmmmm...those Wave Forms in the EQ look a lot like the wave forms in ModStep...I sense some good cooking in this app.
Looks like a blast to use if it does what I think it will do. Provided SAMPLING is your workflow style...hope this funds Modstep development updates...so everyone, please buy it so we can get a Modstep Update
Did he code this himself? If not, I don't like him calling it "my music making app". He should've said "a music app presented by me"
Well, if he came up with the idea, funded or negotiated cost of the development and partnered with a third party to have it made, it is technically his...but yeah, it would be better if he said, "Here's what we made!" and give credit where credit is due.
Looks like a lot of fun nonetheless.
I just wanted to be an ass. Although I still believe he is in the wrong.
Well I think it will all be revealed once the app is out and people start pounding on it. Proof is in the pudding ya know...but if the Elastic Drums and Modstep guys had something to do with the app, it should be a rocking good time...
When a good beef stew Is made the cow rarely gets any credit.
OK it might have grown itself a nice butt over the years but hey! - I added the herbs, heated it right up and made all the gravy.
Posts like this are why I still frequent this forum. A+ for entertainment value!
Quality content.
this is like every iOS app: it’s so awesome but there is one complete dealbreaker — in this case, no real connectivity — and I will be holding out hope for weeks, months, years that it is fixed and then my workflow will be complete.
Of course i will buy it!
I was waiting for something like,
“He’s not wrong. He’s Huang.”
But damn, beef stew sounds pretty good right about now.
Two devs were involved, elastic drums dev was one, I guess the other must be them then. > @ExAsperis99 said:
This is very true, as a general statement. There is always something where you go, 'Dear lord, why like this? It would be perfect otherwise'.
A bit like this?
😂😂
Whoa, i totally watched that Cuckoo guy today for the first time looking at opsix videos. At first I was leery and loath to keep going, but then he completely dominated that FM synth and made a great intro video to the product while doing so. So much better than a basic run-through of features.
I see actually this approach is very similar to what Roli did with Noise - guest producer curated synth sound packs. Andrew and co are going to make a lot of money from this for sure 😜
