  • Thanks all! yes band helper sends midi clock my beat buddy see's it.... but my ipad with loopy says "no"
I will look into lewis connect. I am taking back the 4i4 because I also find it noisy.... just not happy with it and will fall back to my 2i2 until I do more research. Any other suggestions of hardware greatly appreciated
I would like 4 inputs and outs if possible but mostly want two usb (one to loopy ipad) and want to record evertything going on on the ipad with OBS studio for my youtube video's

  • @Musiclabs - if you describe in detail how everything is hooked together, there may be some way to sort it out. Loopy Pro can follow any MIDI clock that it receives.

Thanks, loopy pro is not the issue. The issue is the 4i4 IMHO. It was not forwarding the clock signal for some reason. I could not see the clock in any app downstream of the 4i4.

I returned the 4i4 as the whole point of it was to recieve and pass on midi. I am back to the 2i2 and using loopy as the master.

    Thanks!

  • ok so I found a used Audio4C and could use some help please
I could really use some help please.

    Use case:

Running loopy pro on Ipad pro, connected to USB2 all outputs on Loopy pro set to 1+2

USB1 connected to computer and then into OBS studio

Auido4C has Mic input on channel one and guitars on channels 3 and 4

Output 1 off the back of the 4C connected with TRS cable to Bose S1 Pro+ for live monitoring

So everything connected above works fine through the output 1 (bose S1) it sounds find, I can mix up and down my analog inputs (mic and guitars) I can mix up and down my drum machine. All sounds like it did through my Scalet 2i2

However now I run the usb cable to the computer from USB1 and into obs.

I use the Auracle app and I assume I should use "stream" but if I do this my Mic and guitars do not get any effects from loopy pro. I hear them but it's just straight through from the analog input to USB1 it seems

If I select Play USB2 then I get my effects but when I turn down my mic in loop pro the volume out to the speaker (output 1 to bose) goes down but the volume to OBS stays the same. So I can't mix my sound on the ipad.

Honestly I am pretty confused by the whole situation :)

I have tried the reconfig4 audio app but that is even more confusing. The other problem I have with that app is that when the app is active it takes over the loopy pro audio so I can't hear anything as to what is happening.

I don't know the best way to get help for this (zoom call?) or am I missing something obvious?

    Thank you all in advance.

  • Hi @Musiclabs . I suggest you hunt back to the start of this thread to find out how to use Auracle, or the older iConfig app, to set up your channels. It is not straightforward, but semi-magical when it works.

Thanks I tried the older iconfig app and it only comes up with midi routing.
I have discovered that the levels are going up and down in OBS for my analog inputs but only about 20% of what they are doing in the Actual analog output to the S1 pro... sigh.... I have read everything I can, watched every video I can find.... I will keep going till the "magic" happens haha...
