There really should be a prize for finding that website menu.

I don't know how many votes we need to get to succeed - I can't find the answer anywhere. But since Moog Model D has 88 and is still in the request section, maybe around 100 votes need to be obtained (?) I send that question to Patchsorage Team, let you know after receive answer.
@dakti
Done.
@Gravitas Brilliant. Thanks to you Tonestack PRO is on 3th place now

Actually... I pressed a little heart button. I’m assuming that’s a vote?. Doesn’t seem to clear to me.
@tahiche Exactly, heart (

Up to 28 with my vote, well done Gang 👍
Vote 31 … Running 2nd.
Yes, it'll end on Sunday, May 9th.
Thanks, Jessie.
@Jessie Is there a way to make the au version of tonestack react to program change messages?
It would be absolutely awesome if we had the Tape Deck/inStudio section when opening as an AuV3.
What did you say???
I’m already imagining it in AUM with inserts from 8 AUM tracks.
The $5 buy-in gets you:
10 Amps and my guesses at the modeled original:
BluesOwl (Fender StageMaster?)
Vintage Clean (Fender Bassman?)
Modern Classic (?)
Rockmaker (Marshall?)
Cali One 800 (Boogie?)
The Invasion (Vox)
Vitamin C (Orange)
Colossal Gain (Hi Watt)
Antique Tube (Fender Champ?)
Full Bassic (Ampeg?)
10 matching cabs for above
Stomps and FX
3 Dynamics Noise Gate, Compressor, Rock Compressor
7 OverDrive, Distortion, & Fuzz
5 Filter, EQ, & Wah
7 Modulations
1 Pitch (Octaver)
6 Delay & Reverb
3 Dynamics
2 Bass EQ and OverDrive
A/B switcher
Dynamics Noise Gate, Compressor, Rock Compressor
The $19.99 IAP unlocks the whole suite of Amps (50+), matching Cabs and Stomps, FX'es (125)
These prices are intro and they will move to a lot more expensive set of IAP's. This is to temper the frustration with re-purchase for longtime fans of the product.
A big PLUS for me is the TapeDeck that can import music from iTunes or the file system for backing track practice or performing/busking.
There's a multi-track recording app that has 2 free channels and 6 more to be purchased. I expect they come in the INTRO IAP but have NOT tested that assumption and I won't. I'm good with Amp Sim products and don't need the whole enchilada... just the $5 for clean and the TapeDeck.
yass, and (maybe going too far) with multi-out audio.
Sorry, I am very late on this discussion but is Tonestack Pro usefull for a non guitarist like me ?
How does it compare to MixBox (type of content, sound quality, ...) ? It seems more guitar oriented but I am not sure at all.
Thanks a lot !
Speaking for myself, I use both MixBox and Tonestack on all kinds of sound sources, not just guitars. I think they’re both great.
$5 no-brainer at this point, thanks for the details.
Guitar Sims are engineered to the specs of a guitar speaker driver like a 12 inch Celestion driver.
70-5000Hz
If A3 is 440 Hz then 500hz is between A6 and A7
times 2 is 880
times 2 is 1760
times 2 is 3520
Near the tops notes of a piano I think. Easy for some deaf people to hear with enough volume. That's why deaf people love metal bands... they can dance just from the rhythm of the bass sound pressure waves.
Show me a guitar amp with high frequency drivers. They don't want or need that content. They even hope the speaker cones will be less rigid and drive them with 110 Volt AC for hours to "warm" them up for live use. Kill those presky tone killing highs.
In other words, electric guitars have almost no high end frequency content. They are mostly mid-range audio content. So, most stomp boxes are pure crap for a microphone or studio master bus effect.
Most Amp Sim's (IMHO) are just awful compared to DDMF or any other recording studio based FX app. Mix Box is a suite of recording studio modules. ToneStack is a suite of guitar stomp boxes.
If you like to destroy your audio for the artist effect... $5 or $25 is a good deal. $40 for MixBox is an engineers dream... the highs are pristine and beautifully detailed up into the 10K's or more where the essential details live that more audio sound convincing.
No kidding right? You spend 4 times that much for a single Rig on TH-U.
Any ol' iPhone that runs IOS 13 can run ToneStack Pro and you can glue it to your
Strat and practice rocking out into headphones while you walk to through the dog park
and no one will hear that you sound like shit but look so cool.
Old iPhone $100 refurbed.
Closed back headphones $50
IK Multimedia iRig HD 2 $80
Knock off Strat $200
Gorilla Glue $5
Guitar strap that works well $200 (do not skim on the strap to hold it to your body and deter thieves and do not glue the strap to your body... it's easy to loose large patches of skin)
Total mobile guitar studio: $635.
Guitar lessons: $50-100 each. Screw the lessons. Jam from your gut and watch YouTube.
You too can be a local Guitar God in the eyes of the dog park dogs. Dog's like to chew on guitars so be careful.
Sorry to be that guy, but I believe 440Hz is A4 rather than A3.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A440_(pitch_standard)
On topic, I personally think $5 is a no-brainer to see if you like it - I did like it so ended up buying the full IAP while at the intro price. I primarily play guitar, but found TS is also great fun when used for synths (caveat: I’m very much a hobbyist playing for fun at home with no ambitions to actually release anything).
You're not sorry. You're a Yamaha keyboard guy. Google it. The only Yamaha does for us is make great pianos our developers can sample. I hate those asshats and how they shit on IOS users. And now this...
Of course I could be full of shit... I'll google the frequencies of the piano keys and see how bad it is. Still... 5000 Khz is shit poor audio fidelity which is my point. Stomp boxes are crap audio processors but they are a huge market for collectors. Trade 'em with your friends. Bigger than Beanie Babies and just as corrupt with fake goods.
Aha!
The defense rests its case, your honor. If the notes fit... you must acquit.
Seriously? The frequency of concert A is a matter of debate and conspiracy theories:
https://globalnews.ca/news/4194106/440-hz-conspiracy-music/
and there are at least 3 different numbering schemes for the octaves. One person's A-2 is another person's A0.
What are we talking about? Oh yeah. Tonestack works with a wide range of instruments.
To summarize... guitars tend to care about frequencies below 5000Hz.
The A3 v A4 issue is a red herring and off topic.
ToneStack and every other Amp Sim product doesn't reproduce a lot of upper end frequencies... or maybe they do and that's why TH-U kicks the others in their counter-point.
Run Ravenscroft through and Amp Sim and tell me if you want a refund.
Now... run it through MixBox CS. You should end up playing with the piano for a few hours.
That's the point.
MixBox CS good for anything.
Amp Sim's good for guitars.
Unfortunately mix box is only iPadOS
