  • Had been waiting on a great Model 15 sale forever.

Planning to purchase a number of IAPs to thank Moog for their wonderful generosity!

What are owners favorites — and why?

    Thanks!

  • I wonder why? I got them all, but Filtatron.

    Thanks..

  • Patch storage also has a number of free Model 15 patches:

  • @Poppadocrock many thanks !

  • Got the last remaining Moog app I didn’t have in my collection, the Filtatron.

Guess this means they are planning all new apps?

  • Oooooooh SNAPPPP
    I go grab 😛

Woah. I got free Model 15 IAPs...

  • Please don’t forget to grant the good people at Moog five star ratings for your newly gifted apps!

  • Man if you don’t have these, they are such amazing sounding synths.

    That’s not an option.

  • I've just been playing around with Model D again and man it sounds sooo good for bass sounds imo. However, (like everything it seems on iOS) it comes with a hitch and that is there seems to be latency in the sound coming from the Model D compared to other instruments when buffer sizes are high. Basically, on my iPad Pro I still need 1024 samples in AUM as a buffer size by the time I chuck in enough things for a session. However, the Model D sounds out of time at 1024 but fine at 256. Wondering if anyone else has this issue?

Just out of curiosity, what app/auv3 are you using to sequence Model D?
Some sequencer apps/auv3’s mess up timing when buffer is bigger…

Adjust until it works for you. I have a feeling there might be no more updates for these apps.

It’s fate, obviously. The gods hate me. Guess what I bought for full price, £28, yesterday? Yep, Model 15... Doh!

  • @Samu Atom2 so dont think I can get more reliable. I was using Rozetta Bassline when I first noticed, so switched to Atom2 to confirm.

the universal for macOS version of Model 15 has been getting updates recently and works beautifully within Logic. Scales perfectly too. It's baffling they'd be giving these away. Very odd.

    That sucks!!

@soundtemple : Yep. I’d held off forever hoping for a sale, but then got a £25 gift card for my birthday, so I thought, “well, they’re clearly never putting this on sale, and I’ve already got everything else they do, so it’s now or never...” Damn. But it is such a brilliant synth. Guess I’ll wait til the day before they make the IAPs free to buy them now... And practice some zen meditation about non attachment...

I bought it last month too, after waiting through all the holidays for a sale 🤦

  • @Svetlovska Well if it costs you 25GBP and you get some wicked bass sounds and enlightenment on the zen art of non attachment you are doing ok I reckon!

can you get a refund? Here in Europe you can get a refund no questions asked up to 14 days after buying. Go to apple's 'report a problem' site and see if you are eligible!

  • I wonder if they’re getting out of the game?

    Ok, what device and sample-rate?
I’ve noticed that the timing can in some apps vary between 48 & 44.1k.

I’m on the ancient iPad Air 2 (iPadOS14.5.1)and the bigger buffers are sometimes a must and I’m most of the time using 44.1 and buffers between 256-1024 depending on cpu load.

Not had any issues with Atom 2 and Model D or Model 15 when it comes to timing at various sample rated and buffer sizes.

At least it’s worth to check if changing the sample rate helps here?

Hope you’ll get it soreted out!

  • @sevenape Ah I've had it for ages. Bit late for that.
@skiphunt The model D doesnt scale at all.... at all

  • @Samu Good point. I cant actually change the sample to 44.1Khz in AUM or Drambo. I get a pop-up saying

Could not set sample rate. Either hardware does not support or another application is controlling it

Yet, I have no other applications closed. When changing AUM I only have AUM open etc
