It’s fate, obviously. The gods hate me. Guess what I bought for full price, £28, yesterday? Yep, Model 15... Doh!

Same boat, bought it 2 DAYS ago.😂🙄😂
But the sound and the beautiful design makes up for it😊

@Samu Good point. I cant actually change the sample to 44.1Khz in AUM or Drambo. I get a pop-up saying

Could not set sample rate. Either hardware does not support or another application is controlling it

Yet, I have no other applications closed. When changing AUM I only have AUM open etc

If you do not have an audio interface, the sample rate is locked to the iOS system default for the mic, 44.1 kHz for older devices, 48 for newer ones. This is a long-standing annoyance.

  • Wow this is crazy cool. Now I can use the iPad version instead of iPhone. It seems like the IAP are all different but thats no biggie I guess. Cheers ,Moog@

  • Anyone wondering why these apps went on sale for free?

Usually we see this kind of thing right before a company puts out something new!

    Animoog AU?

Maybe they’re going to release a “Moog One”
    AU?

Come on guys, anyone wanna join me in this false sense of excitement? :p

Nothing for me to see here… I already own all of the apps that are currently offered by Moog

Moog is quiet about that. Isn't it @MoogMusicInc ?

  • Even thought we already have Model 15 and Model D there's something based on the Subsequent lineup that would fill a void and make things more fun to tweak & play :)

I'm all in for surprises though!

My guess is Bob Moog’s birthday is the 23rd.

  • Christmas in almost June. 🎅🏽🎅🏽

  • Although Model 15 has never been free before yesterday:

Wow you’re totally right! Half price is the cheapest it’s ever been! ( ‘cept for that $9.99 sale!)

Damn I think they really are getting ready to do something big!

Yes! Definitely review these great apps!

    My second reaction was...

Have at it you bunch of man-vultures. If you call yourself iOS music fans I'm genuinely shocked you didn't buy all these apps 2+ years ago (or 5 in the case of Animoog and Fillatron).

    :p

Animoog and Filtatron were some of the first apps I bought. I still suck at using filtatron, though  Seems I have a Death Star™ and just use it to pew-pew

Just a birthday celebration. Hell of a party though! When they do something new it comes out of nowhere.

We already have too much IOS synths and drums
But I would really dig a DFAM app
edit: And all MF pedals as Audiounits

edit2: Will take the moment to take my annual listen to Sascha Dikiciyan's Momentum (all synths are animoog - all from the Richard Devine IAP), and of course, share with y'all

  • Being a preset player I thought Model 15 is not my cup of tea. I have a kind of 'modular phobia'. So I have never considered to get Model 15.
Since it's free I downloaded it of course. It sounds awesome!

Someone pointed out recently that 'Ruismaker Noir' is has DFAM like qualities, and as a DFAM owner I can definitely see the similarities.

I don't think a DFAM standalone would be that great -- DFAM is a module that really shines through the possibility and creativity that interfacing entirely through the patchbay with CV forces on you. Once you get the schtick of the 'endless' analogue sequencer then the immediacy of the experience and how it combines with other CV modules brings out an incredible level of creative fluidity and interactivity (and the bass on this module is INSANE).

I think on iOS Moog would just be bombarded with endless connectivity feature requests that are totally at odds with the philosophy and practicality of the module.

A [Mother-32 + DFAM (+ Subharmonicon I guess)] app that's somehow similar to the Model-15 app and additionally lets you add as many of those modules as you want, then patch them however you want (so that if you wanted to get MIDI into the DFAM you'd have to convert to CV with the Mo32 or SubH) would be an absolute killer app -- at least 20% as good as having the actual modules on your desk!

  • Maybe a combination of Mr. Moog’s birthday and the release of the new iPads? They should work fine on the new iPads….I hope!

Don't remember all the threads but there's plenty of both Model D and Model 15 patches that has been shared here on the forum.

When Model 15 was released for desktop (It's a fully universal purchase that runs on iOS/iPadOS and Intel and M1 Macs) it got a new free preset pack (Synthesist Toolkit) with 70+ sound that are just pure fun to play!

It is quite CPU heavy on my 3Ghz 6-Core i5 Mac Mini :D

  • How have I lived without Animoog? I love this thing! Thanks for the heads up @Poppadocrock!

Woah. I got free Model 15 IAPs...

    That’s not an option.

Tried again on a different account...

    Tah dah

(Havent loaded this app in ages, so probably was a promo I never got before)

  • I was thinking that Ruismaker Noir could equal DFAM... thanks for the clarification

  • You only need the midi out iap for animoog iphone. You can copy the preset iap patches from your iPad.
