Ok well now I feel better, lol!
Ha. I love the SM synths but have found the preset system to be very confusing. You transfer desktop to iOS but not the other way? And I’m sure I’ve bought some presets twice lol. All good. Quirky system for too sounds.
No it's not.
How did you come up with that 1500 number ??? Where did we state that ???
When you purchase "desktop presets upgrade" IAP OR register with your SynthMaster 2.9 desktop serial number you'd get this and the total number of factory presets would increase to 1944 (We're still waiting on another sound designer -Selcuk Ergen- to finish his work, when that's done, the total number would increase to around 2000)
To make this clear, I edited the product description:
@Gravitas I'm having the same issue on an 11" M1 in standalone mode. Need to try as AUV3 to see if it's the same. @Paulo164 thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work.
@kv331audio_bulent any idea as to what's going on here? I caved in an bought the iPad version of 2.9 seeing as my desktop version won't work on my M1 Macbook (yes I'm whining again
) .
You can not purchase any IAP twice on Apple's AppStore, they do not allow that.
Pricing is different on iOS and desktop, this has been like this since day 1. a preset bank sells for $15 on the desktop, $5 on iOS. Therefore if you purchase desktop preset banks they can be used on iOS but the opposite is not true.
Please give us a couple of weeks, we're working on updating the desktop version, I already managed to compile for M1 on my new MacBook, it's just a matter of time to get it working.
Please clear the search filter, you can not delete factory presets
That is literally music to my ears. Thanks so much. Last I checked it sounded like end of year. Any idea about the crackling on M1 iPads?
For those of you who purchased SynthMaster Player iOS iAPs, I am glad to tell you that I managed to implement the transfer. I'll share the details tonight. I'll add a new menu "Restore Player iOS IAPs"
This is what confused me, and perhaps the others:
The description (which I clearly did not read at the time!) does makes it clear that it brings the factory install to 1950 rather than add a further 1950 presets but normally when an IAP has a number like this it is describing the number of additional presets rather than the expected number after purchase.
Hi! My apologies, I do not mean to offend. Just to give feedback that the preset system is confusing for this particular customer. Thank you for explaining the one way preset thing, I didn't think of that of the cost, I was just thinking a preset is a preset. That makes sense. Regarding the same presets, I thought I had purchased the same preset in different IAP banks but I may have been mistaken.
Keep making awesome synths. Maybe it's just me who finds the preset system a bit confusing.
You are still writing 1500. That is incorrect. Should be 1950. and please read the product description when you make a purchase.
Sorry, yes corrected to 1950.
Thanks! I can change the number of presets field there and write 1000, if that is going to make it more clear.
Thanks! That´s great news!
😊🙏
That would certainly help new users, thanks.
I noticed that the updated description for that IAP is not quite displaying correctly - the end of the line is cut off and does not wrap (full screen, Air 4)
I think this is an example I was referring to regarding buying presets twice. For example, I have already purchased the Dawn of Electronic Music 1 for SMPlayer, now it lets me purchase them again for SM2. Are they the same presets? Thanks.
Same presets but DIFFERENT products on Apple's AppStore. Therefore using Apple's ecosystem you can NOT transfer them. We had to spend time on implementing our own solution.
I wish we were a little bit more thanksful against KV331!
Here have this guys deliver perhaps the most advanced and deepest synth ever on iPad, but, I see some users here complaining about utterly small things…
Come on guys - we are heading an paradigm - enjoy to be part of this new era - Synthmaster 2 for iPad, addictive and wonderful, enjoy!
Love from Sweden!
I posted this before but no takers, so:
I know you can drag a modifier onto another control to set up a mod matrix entry, but how do you set up having one modifier control another, for example a keyscaler mapped to adsr decay? As both are not visible at the same time.
What about tapping on the decay knob, tap add modulation, select the desired key-scaler?
Does anyone else find the sequencer in the arpeggiator to act a bit weird when step-recording (red status light) events?
Enabling 'rec' sets the start to step one, all is good, start adding notes and all of the sudden events record earlier disappear?!
To me it feels like the arpeggiator module is not the proper debugged or fixed yet or something like that?!
@kv331audio_bulent Here's a short video about the issue recording into arp/sequencer.

Ah that’s it, many thanks. I must have missed that.
Hi, sorry about forgetting this in my tutorials. Tap the knob and you'll see the popup menu:
This way, the modulation source does not have to be visible on the screen.
Honestly I don’t know why I wrote 1500 here... I must have been having a stroke or something.
BUT... if the current final number of patches is 1944 and not 1950 then please just use that number. I kept assuming that the download had failed, so I repeatedly clicked on “Restore IAPs” to get the “missing” presets.
Also I think it’s not clear that this total includes any patches you get for registering with your email address. Especially as the presets browser puts all these patches into the “factory presets” folder. In fact I wouldn’t call patches you pay for “factory presets” as they are not built in.
Finally if I try and purchase the pack again this happens, which suggests that it would let me buy them again...
+100,000,000! 😎👍🏼
This has been there from the beginning:
The following is general AppStore knowledge, not specific to us: Apple does NOT charge you multiple times for the same IAP twice. It just works as "Restore Single IAP". I am not going to say anything on this further.
+1
I can not change the name of the bank file, it's gonna be "Factory Presets" forever
