Great, I have a bunch of Player packs.. Thanks..
I'll just enjoy Synthmaster 2 for what it is now and I'm pretty sure the remaining quirks will be fixed over time...
The synth-engine is insanely flexible and I'm really enjoying trying out different and crazy ides!
Well done @kv331audio_bulent and the rest of the crew
5-stars fron Sweden!
Off to get it now.. should we delete the Test Flight version, first?
OK - don't get grumpy. You can clearly stop this from happening, if you want to - in GeoShred the app shows you which IAPs have been purchased and it is impossible to even get to the purchase stage again, because the buttons change. In fact GeoShred is smart enough to block out all the packs for me even though I bought a bundle and didn’t buy them separately.
It's a slight change to the UI/UX which is much better for users.
As is telling people the actual number of patches they are buying, and not rounding up because you can't be bothered to be precise. Not being funny, but I suspect you are actually breaching European consumer law by not providing the actual product which is described (ie, the actual number of patches). But I’m sure if someone complains it will be fine, because you can just ignore them.
I am not going to say anything further on this.
This! 💯
@ErrkaPetti @anickt
Leave it out. It is respectful feedback about something I genuinely find confusing. I explained how highly I thought of the synths and made it clear I meant no offence. There has to be room for genuine feedback re improvements on this forum. Get off your high horses.
Thank you for explaining why it happens. Appreciate your efforts!
I’ve followed the instructions and downloaded the bonus presets but no matter what I do I still see 949. I’ve tried to dl again and it says you’ve already dl’d bonus but still stuck on 949. What am I missing ?
The last sentence was the best you’ve said so far…
Can’t understand your “complains” here - be happy what you’ve gotten for relative peanut money…
We used to pay ten times this for good software earlier, so, take it or leave it - it ain’t gonna be cheaper to have just sooooo much music fun then this (for synthlovers with passion for advanced patches)…
Same thing happened to me. I eventually did download again and got the new ones. I assume that SM2 thinks that registration automatically downloads but, for me anyway (maybe because I registered in the AU and not in the standalone) it didn’t download. When I switched to the standalone it thought I had downloaded but eventually I just said download again and the new presets downloaded and appeared.
Because that is the correct number after you downloaded the bonus presets. did we state something else?
We already have this in our products. Looks like I haven't tested that part in detail. We already know from the license key file which products the user purchased from us.
@kv331audio_bulent Hi, happy customer here, thank you so much for making this synthesizer for iPad. I also had to get all the soundpacks, because your synth sounds so good.
I dusted off my synthmaster player to have more voices on my phone. Would you please also make it possible to send all the soundpacks from the new synthmaster 2 to my synthmaster player on iPhone?
In the arp/sequencer editor, how does one set the slide and hold cells? Tapping or long-pressing don't do anything for me. I occasionally can turn on Hold for the first cell. I am not finding anything in the manual about this.
It's a known bug mentioned a few pages back and will be fixed
Ok dude, as it was TLDR for you:
1) The number of IAPs in the "Desktop Presets Upgrade" is wrong. It says it will upgrade users to 1950 and it doesn't. This is very confusing, so some people keep wasting time trying to get the "missing" presets.
2) People are paying to get 1950 presents and they don't. This isn't really honest, whatever the reason why this is happening. Apparently this will change in the future, but perhaps it would just be simpler in the meantime to just change the number listed in the app. People won't care if it's 1944 presets... they care when they think that 6 are missing.
3) Some apps make it easier to understand which IAPs users have bought. It's not a big change but it would be useful. It would also be an upgrade on SynthMaster 1 (which has the some old system).
All of these points are valid from a user point of view and should be easy to fix. If the dev wants to ignore them, that's their choice, but if you don't let users inform your products (or you end up fighting with them) ultimately your products won't be as successful as they could be.
Also @ErrkaPetti, "relative peanut money" shouldn't be an issue here. Synthmaster 2 costs twice as much as most iOS synths, and if it's going to claim to be a popular powerhouse synth then I feel it's appropriate to hold it to a high standard.
In the app store description @kv331audio_bulent, it says that the synth comes with 1000 patches. But even with the bonus patches it seems to only go to 950.
This is getting ridiculous. I bought the app, the Desktop upgrade (total count 1950) and the Expansion Bundle (2000 presets). So I should have 3950 presets if my math is correct. I’m showing 4007 presets. Should I complain? SMH
UPDATE: now I’m showing 4009…
Guys, let’s not start playing the lawyer in this forum...
For me it was clear what I get for my money.
I really appreciate that the devs are actively present in this forum. We can ask, report bugs and propose features.
Furthermore I think it was very generous that they made a SM1+SM2 bundle and I could get SM2 for ~6 bucks.
And the presets we get are really awesome.
Apologies if these have been reported:
Same here. Also, it would be nice if banks sorted alphabetically. Now they’re just random.
Yes...here too
@benlefoe - “ I am not going to say anything further on this.”
That promise wasn’t worth much…
I was being sarcastic by echoing the earlier comment.
I'm kind of afraid to post anything honest here. I'm new and apparently information that isn't 100% positive is not encouraged, and it seems even questions are discouraged. So I guess I need to say first that I really enjoy Synthmaster, I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't.
But I wanted to note that using the on screen mod wheel results in unpredictable behavior. I don't know what is intended so apologies if this behavior is expected.
I am using the on screen mod wheel with a pluck preset, although this behavior occured with every preset I tried. When I leave the wheel in a halfway or three quarter way "up" position the sound changes as expected (filter opens or decay lengthens, for instance). But after just a few more played notes, although the wheel is still "up", the sound reverts back to the original preset sound. Moving the wheel slightly corrects it, but it will happen again if the wheel is left "up". It's as though the app believes that if the wheel is not in motion it should snap back to the default "down" position.
There, that's all I have to say, I hope I didn't offend ErrkaPetti. No complaints, just an observation and two questions- is this behavior expected? If not, has anyone else experienced this?
Just digging in for the first time today. Sounds incredible and I’m loving a bunch of the presets. Thank you for this incredible synth.
Running it in AUM so far. I am encountering occasional bugs but nothing reproducible. Except with regards to the matrix. The first time I click it, it shows the mod matrix but only the first entry has “amount/curve/type” controls. If I click the “matrix” button a second time then the “amount/curve/type” controls show up for other matrix entries… this seems maybe not right? Also in general I am having some confusion/difficulty with modulation assignments and then controlling depth/inversion of these on parameters… Does anyone know of a good tutorial that covers this area of the synth? I realize there are a bunch of excellent tutorials for this synth but I don’t have a lot of time (parent with kids!) so I would appreciate any leads folks might have on modulation tutorials.
But currently perplexed… I click on filter1 cutoff and assign lfo2, and can tweak lfo2 and see/hear effect… also click on pan and assign lfo3 and can update lfo3 and see/hear it’s effect… however when I click on “matrix” I do not see these assignments….. what am I doing wrong? Thank you!!!
In the AU, there is currently a bug which results in some items not being shown unless you set the the filter to show that modulation source. I understand that it will be addressed soon.
Thank you! Yes I should probably take a stab with the stand-alone.
Do you happen to know how to invert a modulation? For example... I want to have an lfo control filter cutoff, but as it drops I would like the same lfo to increase the filter's distortion drive.... not sure how to set that up. Thanks in advance for any insights/help
Set the modulation amount to a negative value in the mod matrix to creat inverse response.
Thanks! I’ll try that in stand alone mode
