It seems that when we select a "Mode" and than switch to the "Scale" to select one, the former is kind of forgotten and unselected. @jon_bell should know what's going on here and if it's a bug or not 🤔
I am also using it on m1 mac. I hope this is just a bug. @jon_bell can you get it back to m1 Macs please?
It does not look like a bug. An app which appears as an option for desktop requires a choice be made by the developer during the development process.
Really enjoying this new update. Everything is laid out much better.
Is it a choice during the development process rather than a choice made when deciding how to market it? I have old apps that predate M1 chips and which work on the desktop, so I assumed it had more to do with commercial considerations. Anyway, Riffler's previous version still works on my desktop, the new version just isn't available for download.
I have the new version, but haven't explored it yet. What are the best new features I should look for?
I wanted to give developer benefit of the doubt! Not nice if he removed it from the mac store. I bought it only because it was available on m1 Mac. @jon_bell can you clarify what happened to the Riffler for m1 macs?
Just recorded 4 -16 bar instances of Riffler in GB ,cut 1 track to 8 bars ,however the track while edited to 8 bars is still playing the original recorded 16 bars.suggestions?
You have to record the audio I believe as it doesn’t yet accept midi in.
Another desktop user here, was hoping it would be back in the next update too.
+1
Just want to give a thumbs up to the new UI changes. The usability keeps getting better and better!
Also, I've had the chance now to compare it to desktop "composers", and those I've tried are just no competition when it comes to musical riffs. Still #1 to me.
I love this app.
When is the new update and the Pc version going to be released?
Thanks for the app. Nice work.
I'm having difficulties exporting midi though. I'd really like to be able to email midi to my pc.
Is there a chance you could do this please? Right now I left with a gaping hole between app and DAW.
Thanks in advance.
Yep this app is really REALLY good. One of my favorites. This, Beatly Pro, and Piano Motifs are the best of their kind, imo.
Ok, I've just managed to email a midi to myself.
I rebooted my phone for one thing.
And I found the file I wanted to send under 'Recent'. Not easy folder navigating tween Riffler and Email.
Got there. Sounds good.
Thanks again.
What worked for me was,
to copy the file to my google drive on my iPad and then download it from there into my pc.
I have done it with both, midi and audio files.
Thanx again for a great program.
Can't wait for the updates and the Pc version.
Nice little update. Am enjoying the arpeggios. Any eta for song mode? Just wondering. Would make my process 10x faster!
Nice Update.. Thanks.. Plays nice in Logic , now..
Thanks
@jon_bell dudddeee. you absolute LEGEND of a person!! Works flawlessly in Ableton on desktop. serious game-changer, probably the most game changing app in history for me personally. Thank you so much!!!!
Yep it’s a great one! I’ve been with it since the first version was released and it’s crazy how much work the dev has put into it. I loved it when it wasn’t even AU but now it’s even better. Piano Motifs is another one. You’d probably like it if you like Riffler.
yes! i love piano motifs as well! I use it almost daily. Riffler for me is just a game changer because i dont play guitar, and the guitar sounds that come out of the app are so good. it crushes some of these hundreds of dollar price range kontakt guitars.
I play piano / synths as my main instrument, but piano motifs is still really cool to get a launch point / inspiration, or to add some interesting melodies or passing notes.
I love riffler, because it helps me to add realistic, believable guitars to my work. I mainly do 'sync' music for a living, and a lot of it calls for hooky, jingle esque guitar licks, etc. The fact it spits out midi, and has such a wide range of genres is just awesome.
I would love a bass version, or even brass / string version
By sync music do you mean commercials and such?
I agree though, it’s really a great app and sounds fantastic. I love that it has non distorted guitars as well. It’s great for new wave-ish music especially if you throw a good chorus on it. And the black/death metal guitars at slower BPMs sound down right gnarly 🤤
After trying to find an alternative for iBassist (Auv3).. it is sitting right here with Riffler.. But the MidiFx is not showing up in Logic… Is it me, or is it Memorex?
So much potential… Thanks..
It shows up in AUM..
New presets, wheeeeeeee 🎸
Thanks!
Hello. Just wondering if there was any progress on a song mode at all?!
Yes! This is surely one of the best generative midi apps for iOS ever, a towering achievement and an awesome dev!
Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I searched and couldn't find the answer, can Riffler also be used as a guitar instrument you can feed MIDI to? Thanks.
Don’t quote me on it but I think it might be on the roadmap.
Thanks, that would be a nice feature to have.
