Not sure if anyone else noticed this and I’m sure it will deserve a comment thread of it’s own:

Good catch, so why didn't or don't you start one?
Didn't want to step on anyone's toes. I'm not sure if the developer @jon_bell wanted to formally announce it or if one of our many talented YouTube creators had a video in the pipeline.
If it ‘inputs’ chords, it is well worth it..
edit.. Send iBassist chords to it… more info..
The version number for Flow is higher than the original so it's a straight build upon Riffler, nothing wrong with that, but, why not offer an upgrade IAP for present customers of the original. I feel the price is a bit hefty for buying the same app again, with nothing but new samples.
It's not like SWAM where another tuning is another app (I'm not buying those, ever) but it's not far off either imo.
Since the Metal genre is what I like, the original Riffler is more my style. I can see how someone that leans toward other genres might find “Flow” more appealing. I’m definitely in agreement with @RajahP . Midi input is the feature that I would be most excited to see in any future Riffler updates.
Instabuy for me (plus Riffler for $10 was a steal so happy to support the dev).
According to their page, the algorithm is tweaked. The demo sounds nice.

1. What do ya say Jon? IAP for us who bought Riffler?
I dunno, he did put a lot of work into Riffler over the last few years. Maybe he's just decided that this is the price he needs to make it worth his time based on the number he expects to sell. There could be an IAP but that might be the same price anyway. End of the day, of course, it's up to the individual as to whether they think it's worth buying or not.
Swam - hmm, there are loads of things I don't like about the way that Audio Modeling do things, but the difference between apps is not one of tuning. Making physically modeled replicas of real instruments is highly skilled work, and it's a niche market. But yeah, the ones available on g
Geoshred will definitely be better value for most people, and the Geoshred bundles are a lot more appealing than the Audio Modeling ones.
I know I’m gonna get it anyway.. sounds nice.. Hopefully Midi input will come in the future…
Nice..
Sounds great. I’m definitely gonna get it, Riffler gets a ton of use outta me. It’s great for sequencing external apps as well.
I’ll probably buy it anyway, like the others have said. But dang it I still would really like to sequence those sounds myself. I see that’s not possible in this new version either?
Yeah, and I mean Riffler got that massive UI redesign recently too, a lot of work was put in to that app. Didn't it also get the update from being iaa to being auv3 for free too. So maybe existing users can just see this one as a way for the dev to be more properly remunerated
It did. He’s honestly put in a ton of work into that app and all of it has been free besides the initial purchase, so I’m happy to buy this to support the Dev. Riffler is amazing and gets so much use from me, and this will add even another layer. I’m excited about it. You tried it yet?
Oh how I love it when you mansplain things to me, maybe if you put some more distance between the words I would only need to read them once. I mean who know it takes skilled work to do apps, jiisses amalia I thought they shat them out.🫤
I haven't, no!
Not only that, last time I bought the Riffler app because it was available in Mac App Store. He removed the app from Mac App store and I couldn’t download the app any more. Tried to contact him, he didn’t reply.
What is the guarantee he won’t do it again?
What am I missing here? Why are people upset about this? It’s a different app with different sounds/styles.
It doesn’t really seem any different than Lumbeats selling multiple different “drummer” apps in different styles and from what I can tell, no one is feeling slighted by that.
I bought the original Riffler last year for iPad in anticipation of a Mac version. So now that Riffler Flow is out, a Mac version that combines all the best parts of Riffler and Riffler Flow would be pretty cool!
@jon_bell Thanks Jonathan for this great app which I use in many different ways and genres enjoying it every time. I know that there is a minimum limit of 40 bpm, but I would also like to use Riffler for slow ambient tracks, where even lower bpm's are often required. For productions there are of course workarounds which are more than a hindrance for live performances. Is there any chance of moving this limit to at least 20?
Second.
Updated… says Load presets from Riffler Flow, But I don’t see it…
If you save a Riffler Flow file, it can be loaded in Riffler.
Oh.. I was thinking that Riffler Flow’s ‘sounds’ would be imported into Riffler.. seems its just the notes.. Correct?
Thanks..
What would be the purpose of loading a Flow file into the original app? To use the OG sounds? To get access to additional editing?
More excited about this than any other update.
That sounds awesome
I must be missing something. Midi input is not implemented yet? Cause I just bought the app and cant get it to work.
Not implemented yet. The last update I saw on the app was about the desktop version in April. Hopefully there will be more updates soon.
Building Looks That Kill rhythm part from scratch in Riffler:
Still trying to figure out how to coax it to do the pedal notes and pwr chords in this kind of rhytHm on its own. If anyone has tips, I would appreciate the knowledge!
