Will do, what is the best way to contact him about that?
At- ting him with the request is probably sufficient.
Good shout! It just sends a note on (127) when you press it on, and note off (0) when you press it off. I would have thought this would work! Might be one for @blueveek ?
Edit…
Just tried it again and it works perfectly. God know what I was doing wrong before.
Sorry, I am unfamiliar with what an "AT- ting" is sorry

Native support means no templates or setup is needed. Plug it in and go
Is this kind of like AUM as a loop based DAW? I downloaded the free version and went through the tutorial and it looks cool but the entire app is locked down and unusable (even the basic looping feature lmao) so I can't play around to see if this is something I'd use. Don't have $30 to spend on a lark but if this thing could be a new daily driver that fills the holes of AUM with my RC505 functionality with some DAW action as well, I'm in. I really wish the free version was more open because I'm not going to spend that kind of money on something I haven't touched. Refund system looking kinda abusable right now lol
Choose the free 7-day trial and you can use all the features without limit.
@espiegel123 lol, I'm brain dead I didn't see that hahahaha
It's absolutely wonderful. I'm in.
Small question, is there any way to view cc parameters for an auv3 within the app (like how it can be done with aum.)
I'm trying to connect Xequence Keys for midi to model D, and I'm wondering if there's a built in list of exposed cc for the cutoff, res, env etc... so I can map it to the various controller strips in xequence keys and perform while recording a loop. Makes it a little easier than having both the keyboard and auv3 open at the same time.
Or do I have to look it up externally via the individual app manuals.
Thank you, ahead.
Ah okay, never heard it refereed to as that I did AT him in my original post, but I'll do it again here @Michael , in addition to being able to swap out AU(s) quickly, it would be convenient to be able to bypass/eject AU(s) temporarily (a la AUM style) with the ability to bring them back in immediately. Furthermore, I feel that MIDI routing could be simplified a bit more (with less screen selections involved), and it would be nice to have search/filtering as well as other sorting methods in the AU browser Loopy Pro is awesome, and I think that with the input of the users it could totally replace a few of the leading iOS/iPadOS DAW/Mixer apps. Great work @Michael !!
By the way, you can bypass effects and instuments by tapping their icon/bar in the user interface (main u.i., not mixer). when you do that it also frees up CPU
So it's been a couple days of using Loopy Pro on my iPad, and I am noticing one thing which is changing for me because of LoopyPro. I am becoming more expressive and experimental with my approach to composition. Something about building up a track from short to long snippets just makes sense now to me. I guess the last 5 years of learning all I can about music production, experimenting and growing has allowed to finally arrive here in this state of Zen and Flow with Loopy Pro.
Wow.
This app is changing everything for me on the iPad.
Really great work @Michael and thank you so much for releasing us all to fly as high as we want to on the iOS Platform!
Can Bus channels be midi-mapped? Doesn’t seem possible in both the midi settings and midi learn.
That’s wonderful @echoopera
Send amount is midi-mappable. Bus level isn't currently midi-able, but i think that is coming
Coming shortly!
Thanks! Yep all those things are coming. Just wanted to get it out the door for Christmas first 😄
Thank you! Yeah that’s coming shortly
This has been my experience too. TBH, the first thing I tried to do when I first entered the beta was to try to set up Atom 2 and other sequencer so that I could capture midi and continue my usual obsessing over tweaking things forever. Thankfully, there were bugs with that so I turned my attention to actually playing. I've been amazed at how much more spontaneous and creative I'm becoming and also at how my timing chops are improving. Nothing like not being able to fall back on quantization! And nothing like really needing to listen to what you've already done and feel the part you're going to play because you're not going to be going back to "get it right" later.
Thank you Michael this is just brilliant i never expected it to be so big now i know why it took so long to make (from one father to another) cheers for sticking with it i hope it brings you all the riches you deserve.
Awesome! I'll keep an eye, so far I'm absolutely loving it.
Big props for ease of use when idling auv3s. Model D is a CPU assassin, but with 1 click I can easily put it in idle mode and enable it just when I need to record. Breathes new life into my old iPad, and is much more enjoyable than freezing tracks in cubasis.
Copy that. Thanks.
Anyone know what this is?
Had to shut down and clear LP to get rid of it. Overload?
Also, would anyone know why 2 finger turn to align a loop would just keep bouncing back to the original position? It works on other loops but failed on the last one. Is it a setting or the recording itself? Or?
The glyph that you see there is what happens when you use a circle gesture on a track to change its volume. Normally, it returns to normal when you lift your finger. If you can repeat the problem, it would be great to know that steps that led to it.
The waveform's appearance is not updated correctly in 1.0 when twisting to change the offset. It is a known issue and will be fixed soon -- in the cases that I have run into, the audio data is shifted correctly but the waveform drawing is incorrect.
This is ace! A certain revolution going on, especially with Drambo already in combo. Amazing job!
Expecting loopy pro to come and slowly replace the need of computers on stage, and it probably will - instead of two cdj there will be one day a pioneer docking station for two iPads with little bit of midi and a sound card.
One important thing I am really awaiting from the app (and it’s super simple to implement) is the repitch algorithm (I.e. name in ableton clip properties) so pitch and frequency can stay linked and preserve certain important qualities.. it’s awesome to have the loopy algorithm to stretch and pitch like it does for some crazy sounds, it’s just very unusable sometimes especially when it comes to large live sets with many loops on different bpms (btw large amount of loops and stems would require some sort of listing/search?!) Also when not needed to timestretch this repitch mode would probably save a lot of cpu.
Can’t move the start position of loops easily, any tips on that?
Searched thread for “echo calibration” didn’t find it so:
Dumb question, when opening the app for the first time echo calibration is promised with chirps, didn’t happen. I’m not sure if this prevents the app from recording first loop through device speakers into second loop…or is I only possible to record each without hearing and recording the other on top…though the videos show dudes layering without doubling
Echo cancellation calibration is not required to record. It can be accessed by tapping on the mic icon in the mixer …along with other handy options
With Loopy Pro now... is there any reason at all to keep Loopy HD installed?
