UAD Minimoog now native for mac:

(Via UAD Spark subscription only I think)

  • @maxwellhouser that looks really interesting. I like the idea of using it as an automation processor for other effects in particular.

Absolutely. I have to imagine they're working on it.

Once/If @MobileMusic drops the Model D app for MacOS it would be very interesting to see/hear how all the 'Virtual Model D's' stack up to the OG :sunglasses:

For me the Moog Model D app already beats the crap out of Arturia's iMini...

  • I wanted this bad until I remembered I already have MDrummer. For my needs, MDrummer wins out.

It's a primitive choice imho, so statistically speaking it had to be a man. 🤷

    Statistically?

Yeah. We men are, by and large, primitive compared to women

    Speak for yourself...

I hear men who identify as women are currently dominating women's sports. Where do they rank on the primitive rankings chart?

I can see where you’re trying to go with this…A trans women competed in weight lifting at the Olympics and lost pretty badly. I would rank them, least primitive….as they are women. They’ve lived their whole life as a woman, or as much as they could within their environment. Jokes like these just further the stigma..

I hate going OT on a sales thread, and I’m not here to push my ideals. But can we please just be respectful of other people?

Thank you for speaking up. It was a very ignorant comment and not fitting of the forum.

Agreed. No one should be saying something like this in any thread.

I took this deal last year. You also get a 100$ voucher immediately and end of the year I got another voucher. I used both on sales to I got 3 extra expansions for free and Shade for 15$ or so. That’s money well spent, Falcon is fantastic and Shade as well.

I guess you all know BomeBox + Bome MIDI Translator Pro
Bome MIDI Translator Pro is very useful + with the new Bome Network iOS app it became an essential tool for me

belibat released a new project on bandcamp using Bome + offered a discount code for the app
you can use the code for anything on their website not only the MIDI Translator Pro
%30 off until april 16 with the code BELIBAT30

Watch out for this one. It looks as if there's a glitch in Bome's checkout: the code is applied at checkout, but then ignored by PayPal and you will be charged the full amount. (Having shopped too long in UK supermarkets, I made the braindead mistake of assuming the discount would be applied at payment stage despite being told I was about to pay full price.) I've let them know; this is a very handy deal if you can get it to work. If you only use iOS and Mac you'll probably be fine with MidiFire/StreamByter as your cross-platform mapping and MIDI-munging tool, but if you ever need to work with Windows (covered by the MacOS licence) Bome is the next best thing.

8 Voice is really a fantastic sounding Oberheim knockoff. Like it a lot.

  • I guess this could technically count as samples, lol.

You're comparing swiss chocolate and a fine bottle of single malt. Both are desirable and combined, the experience reaches new heights, but they're not the same thing.

I'm with you. I like what I see, but not enough that I lose the ability to exercise some self-control. It's not like I'm short of noise-making options! :)

    Roll on Komplete 14!

Couldn't wait - bit the bullet (thanks to paypal pay in 3) and SOOOO glad I did....amazing, inspirational, and very deep. The fact that you can drop your own samples in with pitch detection is way cool...

  • Ughh, just spent the last 3 days installing all of my Waves plugins. Getting the legacy V9.92 plugins installed properly was a pain in the butt. (i.e-if you have several bundles with duplicate plugins, sometimes they won't install completely or some of their folders are deleted when installing another bundle that has the same plugins. Best to install each plugin individually, instead of installing the bundles.)

Also Cosmos keep wanting to re-scan all of my sample libraries, even though no changes were made. I reported this to Waves a couple of weeks ago, and they haven't figured it out yet.

Anyway, way off topic, but just a warning to new Waves customers.
