I get that once in a while as well, totally random it seems. My solution is usually to change preset, or press the key again to release it. Does that work?
/DMfan🇸🇪
No, it doesn't work. Only restarting the application. Neither switching the preset nor changing the instrument helps.
OK, noted. I’ll see to it gets checked out. Can you reproduce it and tell when it happens? For me, it seems totally random and at very rare occasions,
Edit: it is in the bug fix list but very hard to reproduce…
/DMfan🇸🇪
My solution was to press many keys randomly until the locked key got unstuck.
Pressing everything in a row is of course good;) But this is not the way out. It appeared by chance, so I can't form any algorithm.
I've only bumped into the stuck notes when using the on-screen keyboard under medium to heavy CPU load.
When using an external midi-keyboard I've not had any issues with stuck notes even under highish CPU load.
I do not know what 'priority' the screen touches have in the ZenBeats processing chain, but if it's a lower priority and higher priority is given to audio processing random glitches might happen because of that.
This could potentially be solved by 'spreading the threads' to more CPU cores, one core for the UI, the rest for audio processing if that is doable.
I want to try Zenbeats as a kind of multitimbral sound generator for my Digitakt.
The audio and MIDI settings basically work. In Zenbeats I have set up one track per instrument. Unfortunately, only the instrument whose track is currently selected is played by the DT. How can I play instruments via MIDI whose tracks are not selected?
Just tested this as I had a similar situation once.
Try enabling the record button on the instrument tracks you want to listen to, that’ll enable monitoring.
Downside is you’d also record the track, I don’t think this should be a problem. In case you want to play those those tracks from the DT while recording something else you would maybe need to workaround by recording to a dummy clip…
Thanks for your great tip that solves my problem.
In the MIDI settings you can disable transport commands.
I tried to run AUM and ZB with Ableton Link. It starts. But not the first time. There is an offset before the start of playback (not at the beginning but after a beat). I've already tried all the settings. Incorrect operation.
I'm trying to transfer an export from my iPad to my pc but it says transfer failed. It sees my pc name but doesn't complete.
Does this export render all the effects on the tracks ( on the iPad ) into the export zip file? I know the pc won't have the same effects as the iPad.
Do I have to render the audio first into individual stems?
Just trying to finish off what I started on the iPad onto the pc
If you want the instruments and effects printed to audio, then yes, you would do and stem export first and then select the On My iOS device option under "Export Stems to:" section. From there you should be able to transfer the stems.
Alternatively, you could just freeze tracks that have your AU instruments on them and transfer the song file
Thanks.
Got it rendered and now I can move iPad songs onto the pc.
Perfect.
As far as transfering i got it working, it was due to the firewall on my pc.
Is it possibe to add FX to individual drum sounds with the Drum Sampler in the full version of Zenbeats? I just use the demo. If yes how? Insert Fx, Send Fx or Sub Outs?
Yes to the two first, unsure of sub outs.

All are correct! With the V3 Unlock, you can do all of that.
Hey there, I'm new to zenbeats. I have a quick question: I quite enjoy the "pitch bend on drag" function within the on screen keyboard. However if I record a clip while playing that way pitch-bending information is not recorded. Is there a way for this to be recorded?
FYI pitch-bending does get recorded if I just do it through the actual pitch bend control left of the on-screen keyboard.
I saw that more than once you have received the suggestion to make zc1 available as an external auv3 to be loaded in AUM or any other "performance host"...
I am here reiterating that this would really be a great extension (even as an extra IAP) to allow us to use the v3 unlock functionalities also in our live sessions.
Thanks for the attention and for the great job done so far.
I take it you mean the full Zencore synth available on Mac/PC?
We’ll have to see how Roland handles a growing interest in iOS as a platform from both developers and customers, now that LP has hit the market. There are many discussions online right now regarding the future growth of iOS as a music platform.
Anyway, a port to iOS of Zenology involves a bunch of decisions to be made about a lot of stuff… business models, marketing, coding and maintenance are some. I doubt anything will happen soon but I know the developer is well-aware of our wishes.

I guess it's a bug . In the meantime you might enable MPE
but no pitch automation is written visible to edit on piano roll that way (another bug?)
I was referring to the actual zc1 available in Zenbeats.
I know it's a simple version of the desktop Vst. But using it in the daw to prepare some backing tracks it would be great to be able to use it also live in AUM or Camelot.
Got it! What would it take to make you use Zenbeats as a live tool? What is missing or not usable for live use?
Regards,
DMfan🇸🇪
Camelot is really well integrated with hw keyboards, including all hw settings at any change of song of the set list.
Both Camelot and AUM workflows, are in general (for me) much more easy and optimized for live sessions (I am always talking about live playing with hw keyboards as controllers and/or sound generators).
I would say that it's the same difference BTW logic pro and mainstage.
Therefore I would really appreciate if all the sounds purchased in Zenbeats could be used also in other hosts designed for live performance.
But this is only my view and I don't want to move the discussion out of topic.
Testing this in 3.1.5 and the upcoming 3.1.6 patch and it is working as designed. In Zenbeats, the only instrument that accepts MPE is SampleVerse. To use MPE with external plugins, you will have to enable it in the plugin gui menu (upper left, as shown by @Korakios post) You will also need to enable Pitch on Drag in teh on-screen keyboard settings.
As for editing, MPE data, we have some issues to work out, but you can access it in the MIDI editor by selecting the note, tapping the gear icon, then selecting the MPE data from the pop-up menu
Mixtape Vol.16 is out..

Hope to see some of y'all there!
Less than 12 hours remain in the $40 "All Platforms Unlock" sale. After mucho digging (wtf?? had to download and install to get pricing) I finally was able to determine that the MacOS unlock alone is $50. So that's a pretty amazing deal considering you get iOS, Android, MacOS, and Windows unlocked for less than a single desktop platform.
I'm not greatly tempted as I have a DAW that I'm happy with on the desktop. But I was curious - does anyone know if Zenbeats on MacOS (Intel) supports AUv3 plugins, or does it only support VST and the older AU plugins?
I did it, but man am I lost in this DAW I guess it will take some time any good noob tutorials?
