IK seems to give up iOS support little by little
Hi, I'm having an issue—I can't load the presets on Tonex. It fetches the list, but I get an error when loading them. It works perfectly on the app, but not in AUv3. Unable to connect...despite the list is here...
I've reinstalled the app and AUM, and my profile is loaded with the Max pack...
Is it working for you?
Thanks
Olivier
Do you mean this? I have reported this to support several times, the first time in November 2025. There is no solution yet.

That’s exactly it 😟😔😔
It only worked once after the first reinstall following the iOS update
I’ll check with support right away
Thanks for the info
Tonenet seems only functional in the standalone.
I retrieve captures in the stand alone version, and play them in the auv3.
The funny thing is, I can’t play them in the stand alone version at all.
So I audition presets on tonenet with my computer, make a list of what want, start up the stand alone iOS version, download them, then play them using the auv3. ‘Cause, there’s no way to transfer captures from a computer to an iOS device because, reasons.
It’s not a great experience. Unfortunately, I love a few of the captures I have enough that I continue to put up with this.
I gave up on Tonex. It’s on the way to becoming abandonware on IOS.
Their customer service has responded to me multiple times and they can’t get Tonenet to work on the AUV3. Every time it takes them a couple of months to respond. I recommend Gigfast. NAM sounds better to my ears, anyway.
IK Multimedia keeps spamming me with messages promoting their ToneX One Plus. Considering their poor support policy and what appears to be a complete abandonment of iOS users, I have no intention of ever buying another product from this company. In fact, I’ll be actively discouraging people around me from purchasing anything from them.
Or use Studio Camera. It’s only 2€ and can load the new NAM A2 format. It sounds amazing.

👍
Whoah. I didn’t know this existed and it can already do A2! Kind of a weird app, isn’t it? A developer could’ve just released NAM player as a standalone but it’s an afterthought for a video streamer?
Yeah it is a bit weird 😅 but works great for me in AUM.
I won’t be able to try this out for a couple of days. Does it have decent capture/preset management? Gigfast has some pretty annoying issues with scrolling through imported captures.
This is my gripe with iOS NAM loaders. None of them, including Studio Camera, have decent profile management. You’d think that would be a main priority for an app that’s meant to handle countless sets and subsets of files. 🤷🏻♂️
He designed for his needs, and released it in case someone else could use it.
Yeah the NAM management is not the strong point of the og NAM Player that is included in Studio Camera. I’m one of those „purists“ that only uses one great amp profile. I change sounds by switching pedal plugins on and off or adjusting them. Kind of the digital version of the real life approach.
Preset management is not a strong point of the NAM auv3 in studio camera.
You can create auv3 presets of captures and it appears to load them. I seem to recall the auv3 preset doesn’t unload IRs. I use full captures myself, and I don’t switch out the one I use as I’m pretty much a “give me a decent fender twin” and I’m happy kinda player. Just like the real twin, the NAM capture I’m using responds well to (auv3) pedals.
For the $2 I spent on it, I’m more than happy.
@jacou @wagdog
What are these “pedal plugins” you guys like using? Or do you just mean auv3s in general. I have used Tonestack before but it’s less than ideal tbh
Nembrini has quite a few free auv3 pedal plugins. This plopped in front of a twin NAM capture sounds like you’ld expect it to sound: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/808-overdrive-pro/id1537555516
I also like zodiak tape delay,
Tonestack can be great, but it takes a bit of work to make it happen. Gemini and Walls are both great reverbs.
Oh right! Nembrini!
Yep also using the Nembrini ones. Their stuff is great and some of them are even free
Also using Audio damage plugins. Like Panstation for tremolo and Dubstation + EOS.
Great stuff too.

This pedal app popped up on the forum a few days ago without much reception but I thought it sounded intriguing. Picked it up last night and I’m liking it. The temperature/volt parameters aren’t as extreme as I was hoping for but it’s pretty nice overall for dirt/overdrive stuff!
That does look interesting.
Are there any demos of it? I don’t mind paying for stuff (at all), but generally like to hear a demo.
