This does give me the idea of sampling Auxy sounds and then importing them into Note

They are just one shot samples aren't they?

Not sure what you mean, there’s tons of sounds in Auxy, melodic instruments, drums, etc.

Have anyone noticed similarity to Auxy Studio app? Even the fonts and colors are the same. I think both are great but I dont like Auxy Studios subscription model so I will stick to Note. Thanks for Ableton not going that route. I wish they will add vocal recording and Auxy type midi editor. Note would be perfect for me then.

I remember being on a very active Auxy discord community, I wonder what they think about note, for sure is WAAAAY CHEAPER

How to find this Discord community? I hope they will start to compete and take good features from each other. Hopefully we will get Note 2 someday with all asked features. I paid a lot for Cubasis and would do that for Note also if it grows.

You have to save them as .als files first using Ableton, since .abundle files don't open in Bitwig.

    Ah ok. Thanks man!

  • Version 1.0.3 is out:

Added Home- and Lockscreen Widgets for Ableton Note to quickly access sketches or start new ones.
Added support for importing MP3s from other apps or via AirDrop.
Added support for importing the audio of videos when sharing with Note from other apps.
When long-pressing the Note Quantize button, some notes close to the clip end were sometimes not selected.
Fixed a crash that could occur when showing the mixer.
Fixed wrong parameter names in a single effect preset.
Fixed an issue where the Session View was at the wrong position after closing the Set settings.

Some cool stuff. Especially the audio from video import!

No midi input yet though. 🙁

  • Widgets, cool beans!

Mp3 import is a dope addition.. very pleased with that..

  • Video import is great!!! you can sample youtube now!

I made fun of the widget on my head but it's actually useful lol I like the one that let0s you start a new set with drums or instrument, clever, I made a cool beat with it.

What menu is it under ?

  • edited November 2022

its not in a MP3 menu perse , you use the file app or import from another app. It turns the MP3 into a wave file within the imported folder

in classical ableton fashion, now I feel at home

Yeah that's quite the addition for me I've got loads of old breaks and vocal samples in mp3 format.. looking forward giving it a test drive..

  • seems to be a bit buggy the transfer from the file app. doesn't load the MP3 in some processes

  • Ok cheers not something I would use.

  • Waiting on some sound packs.

Is there anything in the Files app that isn’t buggy?

nice! First time I heard about an ableton app I really really really wanted to be able to use audio loops :(

However, I think LoopMix is much better for that.

Files app works fine for me. 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • Just a little MIDI IN for next update would be fine, thank you.
For now, I'm off to Bebot.

I really want MIDI IN or a way to make chords, midi in would be prefered as I can make chords with that

have to say taking away velocity from the keyboard is not a particularly great move IMO. Hopefully Ableton will stick to adding features rather than taking away perfectly useful ones. Bit baffled from this feature removal.

Yer that is a weird move maybe it wasn’t that great.

  • I still don't have Note yet, but yes that's annoying to remove features. It says on the update notes that it's been removed from Chromatic scale but does that mean it's still there on other scales?

That's correct. It's there for the in-scale layout but it was hardly usable on the chromatic layout and caused more pain than good for many users.

  • Is velocity still there for other scales? Can someone confirm
