Can you slice to pads with the auto slicer or is it individually drag ?
Individual drag but I’ve suggested slice to pads to dev.
Keep an eye on this one! More coming! 😶
Landscape is how 99% of music apps function.
Still a great app regardless of the orientation. Koala started without landscape as well iirc.
It did..and if I recall it wasn't a trivial amount of work to design and implement things so that it works well in both orientations.
I can not see a quantize or swing function. Also is there a distortion/bitcrush FX?
Thanks in adavance
Lot of good stuff going on - I like how immediate the browser / piano are. The always on recording is slick, have to test it with AUv3. Very slick, love Koala but this is very cool
Updated with Landscape UI on iPads.
Nice one!
Brilliant. Great dev!
Woo!
Yes, there is bitcrush per pad.
In pads view, to the right of the ABC bank select, select adjusts.
Then in the view up top you have three pages of per pad treatment. You’ll see the arrows on the left and right to scroll pages.
1) Pad trigger behavior/ reverse/tuning
2) filter/res
3) Four different “resample” algorithms.
I remember seeing a quantize switch, but I haven’t messed with the sequencer enough to see what it’s related to.
Dunno about swing.
Great, thank you dev, I think this was really the most expected feature
First he was lazy, now he is the man. That's the way it goes with kids talk......brilliant
Nothing childish about changing one's mind. It's actually an important aspect of being, or at least trying to be, mature. 😉
The maturity of wild swings of opinion is questionable… 🫣
Better to not call people lazy in the first place. It’s an important aspect of being mature.
Damn there is something about this app, the more I’m using the more I’m diggin the flow. Midi mapping and mabye some macro racks for the fx would be sweet, of course time stretching Fantastic stuff already though
Nobody's perfect Ed. Must be lonely up on that high horse of yours.
Fuck I love koala and it’s still my workhorse but oooooh em geee if this app stays supported I’m gonna make a lot of fun things. If I can get my NMSVE to work with this boo boy…. Reverb and delay and filter are 10x more usable than koalas onboard. And it’s crucial I use phone only these days cuz the iPad 8th gen in the house is getting older and I got a banging iPhone 11 for music purposes, and this is great on the phone
Good to see landscape.
So, what’s the difference between the free version and whatever the alternative(s) is/are? And how much does it cost for the .. IAP? .. subscription? (Sincerely hoping it’s not the latter.)
does anyone know. is there a way to copy and paste one pads sound to another?
You can try most of what it offers in free mode. Some effects are locked and you might not be able to save. Not sure about the last one though, I bought it pretty quickly. It cost about 8 quid but that’s an introductory price, no subscription.
The only way I’ve found to do it is via the hamburger menu, top left. Menu > tools > pad manager
Is this still on Intro pricing? anyone know how long the intro sale lasts?
Use pad manager or just load the sample from Files to the desired pad. I just use pad manager. It’s not as direct as dragging in the main interface but it’s not that big of a deal.
cool thanks
i also just realized you can set dawnbeat to record record any audio that is playing anywhere on your iphone or ipad. just click record, and play any audio on you phone/tablet and it records it write into dawnbeat. this is excellent for youtube sampling, or sampling from podcast, movies, a streaming service etc. so fast and very smart.
the more i dig, the cooler this app gets.
