I don’t see any evidence that this is a ‘new normal’ as opposed to a regular, temporary sale. I recently enquired about sequence export with the developer and certainly didn’t get the impression he’d finished with the app by any means.
It’s sad that not enough people were willing to pay for it and only jumped on it when it was free.
Nice!
Especially since it’s a legitimately great app. Not quite at Koalas level but an amazing sampler all the same and probably my second favorite.
A small update, Audiobus support! Dawnbeat now is available as a generator. There's still much to do, does anyone want to try it? If you can't connect, go to settings/audio and make sure Local network is ON.
Sweet! I’ll try it tomorrow. Is there plans for AU support?
Tried on my iPhone with local network on. Still getting issues loading in Audiobus.
Issues also
Same here. Same message. Details:
Audiobus version 3.4.35 (179(
iPad OS 16.7.1
iPad Pro 11 in 3rd Gen
Dawnbeat 1.1.0
Restarted iPad
Local Network permissions enabled for Audiobus and Dawnbeat
Other Audiobus compatible apps such as DrumJam work fine. I got it to load once without showing any status message but as soon as I put Audiobus in the background, that little "i" warning popped up.
Not working for me either. Same issues.
I sent an email to the developer using the address from the website with the info, so we'll see what happens.
Update - I heard back from the developer and he reported that the sound was working during his testing, even though there was an error on the node, and sure enough, it is working, and I tried it a few times, including adding MultiTrack Recorder to the effects slot and recorded sound. I'll continue testing it to find out if it produces sound consistently by loading it, unloading it, opening it first, then AudioBus, opening AudioBus first, then Dawnbeat, and so forth and see if there's any occurrence where the sound doesn't work, but it's looking pretty good so far.
Are you making sure to launch Dawnbeat before loading it into Audiobus?
It’s working for me as well so far. I’m hoping the dev will consider AU support (as a generator) or at least IAA for use in AUM. I know a lot of us don’t use Audiobus as much anymore.
…,,
It is already an IAA generator
Ah okay I thought the dev went Audiobus only. It didn’t show up in AUM for me the day of the update but I guess I just needed to restart my iPad.
Yes tried that it appears to open but when you switch back to AB3 it still has that funny exclamation mark in the corner of the app picture

@Michael
Can’t load Dawnbeat as an IAA inside AuM. Got the reload message each time I try. Anybody experiencing the same ?
Are you launching Dawnbeat first?
Yes Dawnbeat first in background , network local s on and aum in second time . I on/off my iPad since the last update.
Worked for me. Whenever it crashes on you, swipe up on the app to close it and then tap reload in AUM and it should work. Lemme know 👍🏻
This was working for me on my phone but on my iPad, I get the same result as you
Have you tried what I wrote above? It’s been working for me fine after doing that.
Yes. i tried that (it is part of my standard troubleshooting procedure) and it didn't make a different. But a reboot seems to have solved it for now.
It works for me now but the way is to open AUM first , load IAA Dawnbeat , and press the Aum node and Dawnbeat opens without any glitch.
Definitely seems like there may be some growing pains with this update. I’m sure the dev will get it sorted though. I’m glad for the update at least.
+1
I can't seem to find any pad export options?
Hoping to find some workflow to create /edit /fx samples in DB and then export to move the samples into my regular sequencer.
Any love for this workflow?
