@Nikolozi Sale, this Weekend Only, Quick Sale. All apps are 50% Off!

    Mela 4 is only 14.99

    Mela 3 is only $9.99

    NFM is only $7.49

Is Mela 4 worth it if you have 2, 3, and NMF?

I’m in the same exact boat. So curious what people have to say. I definitely want it, and I think it is based off what I’ve seen, heard, and read, really seems to be a good buy. It has so many modules for the synth, the audio fx, and the midi fx, it’s like multiple apps in one.

Unfortunately i don’t have the funds at the moment, plus there’s 1-2 others that have a slight edge in my wish list. I’m dying to get my hands on Hilda. I know, I know, I can’t believe i don’t have it yet either, lol.

I thought I was the only one who hasn't coughed up for Hilda! When I checked last time he does a sale around Thanks giving.

I’m still holding off of Hilda, Buttersynth, Mela4, and Twin3. Do I want them all? Maybe.

If you don’t feel you need them, you don’t need them. I’m infected with the thought that one of those synths will be my number one, the epitome of inspiration, a voice from heaven. But in reality, a sample made with Koala in some random place can do the trick perfectly. 😌

I always say that too and I buy every single one and then over 50% of my music is sample-based mangling of acoustic instruments and weird found sounds and samples lol that said the 4 @EdGG are up there with my all time favorite iOS synths. If I could only keep 5 that would probably be 4 of them lol

Twin3 became my go-to synth, in fact, it's the most important synth of all. When I need to quickly pinpoint a target sound, I use Alchemy and Twin3. But take into account that I'm a shameless FabFilter fanboy. 🦄

It’s definitely up there for me too. I wouldn’t say it’s my go to every single time, but I reach for it more often than a lot of others. That, Buttersynth, and Mela 3/4 are tops for me. I’m also a fan of Anilog, especially lately for some reason. Really underrated synth imo.

I love FabFilter but I’ve only use Twin3 and the “creative” effects bundle. Definitely wanna grab the mastering effects some day, but I’m also pretty loyal to Toneboosters, RRS, and FAC in that regard. (I say this knowing full well I use them all 😂)

If I ever find out the answer to that question I’ll get back to you. Haven’t yet tho lol

I found my balance in the separation of hobby and production parts.

For the hobby part, buying apps for novelty and to fulfill my wishes for exploration and entertainment. It’s almost like with games, a few days of entertainment are enough to justify the purchase. Is this good for creativity? I don’t know, probably not. Because the art spirit loves limitations.

For the production part, projects and my musical direction are the deciding factors. I buy apps only if I’m unable to produce ideas with the current set of tools in my workflow chain. I’m already in a position where I don’t need anything else, even from time to time, discovering new ways to make things better and easier with the classic tools I have had from the beginning. So the list is getting even shorter.

I’m usually joking with my appoholic state, but in reality, I really need more discipline in that field.

It is fascinating what you can do with that ‘creative’ bundle, and Twin3 is so perfectly coded and light on the CPU, if you are not oversampling to the roof, of course. Few instances of BS or Mela, and you are done with low latency. ;)

For sure! All 3 of the effects have become my most used effects probably. Saturn (along with BYOD) are my go to distortions. Timeless is almost always the delay I reach for first. And Volcano is a top tier filter app. I only reach for others when I need something Volcano doesn’t have, like the ms20 filter, a vowel filter, resonator, etc.

I was late to the party and only got them a few months ago but all 3 of them basically stopped my delay, distortion, and filter buying. Probably won’t buy another unless it does something really unique. OR when Eventide does their sale so I can finally get Ultra Tap and Crush Station 😂
