Lumbeat Funk Drummer is on sale! Thank you @LuisMartinez!
Yeah, but unfortunately coupon codes are not working this time. On previous sale, I managed to have -20% - 15% on the license 😬
This seems to be the case. I like the apps but they should be treated as abandonware at this point.
I just bought that faster than you can say "bad mamma jamma" ✌️
Ah man that’s a bummer. Thanks though! Would be great if that did work.
Just curious where it was stated that he abandoned iOS? Did the dev personally say that?
Usually it would be strange to consider an app that had an update 8 months ago to be abandonware so I’d like to see where the dev said that before buying.
I believe he did say something to that effect a while back, though my insomnia could be causing me to confabulate.
I wonder if it was abandoning iOS as a whole or just porting new instruments? Hopefully they can provide reliable proof. Definitely something I’d like to see before buying a $25 app.
You need this.
You don’t even know how much you need this.
Absolutely buy this.
(and keep your audio buffer >2048 👍)
I'm really happy I bought iBassist and Funk Drummer during this BF. I wonder if these were the last Lumbeat items on sale, or if we can look forward to even more stuff. Anyway, my money for Rock and Soft drummer are ready
For all y’all swipers out there, who like Jakob Jaq - « love to finger their devices », Beat surfing 2 unlock is now down at 5,99€ !
Anyone tried it with midi hardware ?
Cheers appoholics!

+1 We’re in the exact same boat.
As a funk lover I’m very tempted. I’m curious why this one has IAPs and the others don’t though?
Got iBassist recently and it is really an amazing app. Soft drummer looks great and is probably the one I’m most interested in. I have hiphop and Future Drummer now and love them both. Have you tried Borsta? It kinda does what soft drummer does to an extent. It’s a brushed percussion app.
Rock Drummer has IAP as well. Mike and John. (Portnoy and Bonham I guess)
Soft Drummer and Rock Drum Machine both do.
I used to think Klevgrand was the bat’s hats but since cooled after noticing more or less of a “pump and dump” approach to their iOS ports (too harsh?), with not much support for universal (including for Borsta).
That said, I bought Brusfri a while back and don’t regret it.
No I have only Ting from Klevgrand. I really like Lumbeat apps because of the Jam feature. I'm a huge fan of Rayzoon Jamstix (Win) and Lumbeat drummers are closest to what I want to have in iOS. I miss only MIDI Jam and Audio Jam feature from Jamstix where app reacts to your play (MIDI velocity, audio volume) in a real time. So for example if you play softer the brushes are playing, when you hit the strings (or keys) harder, cymbals are playing.
Well the majority don’t which is what I was curious about. Thought maybe it was only for the apps that have different drummers with names but Jazz drummer doesn’t have IAPs for them.
I’m not on desktop so I never pay attention to that part but they seem to still add some new features and update when an app needs it so I wouldn’t consider that pump and dump. I guess everyone’s standards for apps is different.
Are the IAP of Lumbeat apps ever on sale?
not that I can see
Yeah I was wondering about those.
Hah, I forgot Jamstix had that feature.
I don’t mean to sound like a d*ck, I really don’t. My goal is brevity and informativeness, but it may be coming across as argumentative.
As for Klevgrand, I’ve been a consumer/fan of their desktop products for some time. I get that mobile app development is its own sack of potatoes from that of desktop, and mobile bit-rot probably happens at an exponentially higher rate... and add to that, a lower price-point on mobile means (hopefully) a lot more customers, which means a lot more potential complaints. I was too harsh before: Klevgrand's apps are interesting, and their aesthetic is deliberate and very consistent, though I would still speculate they consider themselves primarily a for-desktop dev studio who happens to be in the habit of also porting their stuff to iOS. Totally just my observation not meant to dissuade.
For anyone curious, turns out it's 45% off the pre- July 22 price of $29.99, which AppRaven will revert to after the current sale of $16.99 (according to the dev).
And might I add that AppRaven Premium is nice but certainly not worth $30 for the average Joe, so now might be a good time to jump if you want those sexy, sexy IAP sale alerts.
Hypertron PRO In-App Purchase is $0.99 today, usually $4.99.
Seems interesting, and great price. Not sure how it compares vs Koala though. It says it has a synthesizer?
@EdGG
It does have a simple synthesizer, yes. Koala is a MIDI-based sampler with a free grid, while Hypertron appears to function more as a sequencer in its true sense. Hypertron comes with real pitch-shifting, whereas Koala achieves pitch changes by playing samples at different speeds, consequently altering the sample's duration. Hypertron has some really cool features, with some, like automation, being a bit hidden at first. There’s not much of documentation online yet. However, the developer is actively working on a substantial update, including AUv3 support, according to his Twitter / Instagram.
I asked Sinan Bokesoy at the time thermo2 came out if it will come to iOS. He said that it’s in the works. You can take that as a yes, but I prefer to take it as a hopeful maybe.
Also i asked him if he plans to do a VolBot client for desktop pcs to work with iOS VolBot. He said that it’s an interesting thought but it’s not as easy as one might think. Still hoping for that one though.
