SilQ Equalizer is $4 off at $1.99

Just a heads up that it's not AUv3.

Thanks for mentioning. I thought that was the case but didn’t double check to confirm. Guitar Capo + was/is cool, but hasn’t been updated in awhile, no au, older app… but it does send core midi out. I haven’t tried it in awhile, think I might do that.

You're killin' it, bro. We don't expect all the details. 😉 I'm just trying to save folks some clicks and possibly a purchase they regret. Yes, GuitarCapo was well regarded, but that's one I never picked up. The developer @tonappas used to visit us on the forum, but hasn't been seen around here for over 5 years now.

  • A couple Music app IAP sales - Synthmaster Two and Demo

  • Photo/Utility

PQuery - AI Photo Finder & Editor is free usually $5.99

  • Vocal Beazz is now a free app with a $6.99 IAP to completely unlock all features.

I have a lot of samples, mostly drum and glitch one shots, risers, impacts, etc. I thought Egoist might be a good option to make them into glitchy tracks, but now I’m realizing it only does loops, not one shots. Should I get Egoist or is there something that might be better for my use case?

    Playbeat or Strokes

  • Playbeat or Strokes

Thanks, I’ll have to check those out!

Thanks … is Cubasis 2 worth getting? I use GarageBand but can’t use au midi apps like helium and mKer. Thought about getting audio evolution mobile studio but wondered if Cubase would be better?

For $12 it’s a great bargain. Very nice daw.

  • You have the paid version? Because u can view a filterable list of all apps with iaps on sale in the paid version, but not in the free one. In the paid version that list is accessed by clicking on the IAPs section on the main view of the home screen

Ah, now I see it, thank you! I have a filter setup with the music production tag and I watch everything from the notifications screen. I’ll have to play around with some of the other views.

Anyone know if Tonex IOS is having a Black Friday special? I wonder if the Tonex SE current price is the regular price at $59.99.

They have several sales during year and at least one of them is 'SE" sale where price is $39.
If you buy ToneX directly from IKM or resellers, you get a free iOS license. It should work the other way around too, but I don't know that for sure. Buying from IKM has the advantage that you can use their JamPoints and get the price even lower.,

Thank you so much for the clarification! That's so awesome because there's no need to purchase twice; on pc then on IOS! Only one purchase on PC and all the amps will show up in IOS!

ToneMax is at $79 total right now @ IK Multimedia website and it includes 1000 tone models and 100 amps! What an awesome deal!!! I personally have fallen in love with the tone of these amps! Truly realistic! IMHO the feel when playing is in another level! I plan to integrate it with my pedalboard using my iPhone and AUM! With AUM once can even have double amps side by side and create some amazing tones!

    Blessings to all!!!

    "Songbook simple" url above fixed.
In relation to what they have in the description "Forget Autoscroll that never scrolls at the right speed. One quick tap to scroll Pages"
I would like to mention and recommend similar product JustChords from Marek Palka. Standalone and AUv3, autoscroll is not an issue there. Dev is responsive and listen to suggestions. Free app as well.

Have you tried Borsta? It kinda does what soft drummer does to an extent. It’s a brushed percussion app.

No I have only Ting from Klevgrand. I really like Lumbeat apps because of the Jam feature. I'm a huge fan of Rayzoon Jamstix (Win) and Lumbeat drummers are closest to what I want to have in iOS. I miss only MIDI Jam and Audio Jam feature from Jamstix where app reacts to your play (MIDI velocity, audio volume) in a real time. So for example if you play softer the brushes are playing, when you hit the strings (or keys) harder, cymbals are playing.

Hah, I forgot Jamstix had that feature.

Lumbeat Funk Drummer is on sale! Thank you @LuisMartinez!

    You need this.
You don’t even know how much you need this.
    Absolutely buy this.

As a funk lover I’m very tempted. I’m curious why this one has IAPs and the others don’t though?

Soft Drummer and Rock Drum Machine both do.

I'm really happy I bought iBassist and Funk Drummer during this BF. I wonder if these were the last Lumbeat items on sale, or if we can look forward to even more stuff. Anyway, my money for Rock and Soft drummer are ready

Got iBassist recently and it is really an amazing app. Soft drummer looks great and is probably the one I’m most interested in. I have hiphop and Future Drummer now and love them both. Have you tried Borsta? It kinda does what soft drummer does to an extent. It’s a brushed percussion app.

I used to think Klevgrand was the bat’s hats but since cooled after noticing more or less of a “pump and dump” approach to their iOS ports (too harsh?), with not much support for universal (including for Borsta).

That said, I bought Brusfri a while back and don’t regret it.

Well the majority don’t which is what I was curious about. Thought maybe it was only for the apps that have different drummers with names but Jazz drummer doesn’t have IAPs for them.

I’m not on desktop so I never pay attention to that part but they seem to still add some new features and update when an app needs it so I wouldn’t consider that pump and dump. I guess everyone’s standards for apps is different.

I don’t mean to sound like a d*ck, I really don’t. My goal is brevity and informativeness, but it may be coming across as argumentative.

As for Klevgrand, I’ve been a consumer/fan of their desktop products for some time. I get that mobile app development is its own sack of potatoes from that of desktop, and mobile bit-rot probably happens at an exponentially higher rate... and add to that, a lower price-point on mobile means (hopefully) a lot more customers, which means a lot more potential complaints. I was too harsh before: Klevgrand's apps are interesting, and their aesthetic is deliberate and very consistent, though I would still speculate they consider themselves primarily a for-desktop dev studio who happens to be in the habit of also porting their stuff to iOS. Totally just my observation not meant to dissuade.

Oh yeah I think you’re exactly right on that. I just think as far as desktop devs porting to iOS, they seem to have generally done right by the community so far. At least as far as I know, I could be missing something. I’m definitely a fan of theirs, so maybe I’m a bit biased but I just like their style/UI a lot.

Never once thought you were being a d*ck btw. No hard feelings here :)

Hypertron PRO In-App Purchase is $0.99 today, usually $4.99.

Seems interesting, and great price. Not sure how it compares vs Koala though. It says it has a synthesizer?

Can’t speak for everyone but I love it and for $1 it’s a no brainer, imo. It’s probably on my top 3 grooveboxes on iOS honestly. The synth isn’t gonna be as deep as a standalone synth but it’s good for what it is. The automation is a big strong suit too, love the way it’s implemented.

It does have a simple synthesizer, yes. Koala is a MIDI-based sampler with a free grid, while Hypertron appears to function more as a sequencer in its true sense. Hypertron comes with real pitch-shifting, whereas Koala achieves pitch changes by playing samples at different speeds, consequently altering the sample's duration. Hypertron has some really cool features, with some, like automation, being a bit hidden at first. There’s not much of documentation online yet. However, the developer is actively working on a substantial update, including AUv3 support, according to his Twitter / Instagram.

That’s awesome news! It’s a really good app.

No worries @Fear2Stop everyone likes different stuff, and makes different music. I would definitely give it another try if you have it already. Cheers!

    Yeah I definitely will!

Based solely on videos I like the sound of Magellan 2 better…. Anyone have any opinion on the IAP, especially the 80s and horror packs?

I only have one of the horror packs but they’re great from what I remember. Haven’t really messed with M2 in a while. I personally prefer all their other synths lol

Any good deals on superlative pianos? I like Pianoteq but find the pricing inscrutable. Pure piano maybe?

Just Piano sounds amazing and is cheap as hell for what you get. It’s the best outside of Pianoteq, imo.

  • Just gotta say thanks @Poppadocrock

You’ve been putting in WORK lately with all these sales and haven’t missed any. We all owe you!

For value yes it is. It’s very good,
Ravenscroft is better for string resonance, but not character. Painoteq demo mode very flexible, with just one missing note per octave that’s randomly spread out over the whole keyboard, and a 40min timer that’s easy to reset. So quite usable for just jamming, previewing. I’m on the fence about buying into the basic Pianoteq, as then extra instruments are reasonably priced when it’s sale time. Looking to get the upright and the electric instruments if I go for it, as they both sound great and I don’t use a grand sound often, and when I need just piano works great.

I use Just Piano and Pure Piano for most of my piano stuff (Numa Player isn’t bad either) but I did buy basic Pianoteq and got the classical guitar and Hohner packs and they’re both great. I’m considering upgrading to standard next week when I get paid if the sale is still going on.

I love Pianoteq as an app but for strictly piano I find Just Piano easier on the ears (for me) and maybe a better value overall depending on what you’re using it for. The included 5 pianos really sound great.

What of the included pianos in just piano?

  • I used to use Ravenscroft but now have Pianoteq, but back-to-back Ravenscroft is still v impressive. V simple interface too. Prefer it to Pure Piano for basic piano sounds.
I’ve never played Just Piano though.
