@Pxlhg As far as I am aware, we can’t merge separate threads, @Michael may know better though.
Alright, my bad, I thought I'd seen it been done before.
Yeah you can do it, I’ve done so now
Ah great, sanity restored... and thanks! 😁
Just recently dived in and still exploring buttons and the manual, but one of my first questions was wondering if this (and also Tera Pro) would get the extra Plaits oscs. Is mostly fun so far, most of my frustrations have been sorted out by reading the manual. Love to see this thing keep growing, thanks @congburn
Updated and is not working anymore in my iPad 10,5 iOS 14.7. Standalone closes immediately and AUv3 can’t load… can you check @congburn ? I have some live shows soon..
This has turned out to be one of my favorite purchases. Srokes doesn't think like I do so it was uphill learning curve but now I'm beginning to think like it!
I would like to set Koala in AUM to strokes. So i Connect Both in AUMs Midi mode. In my case ch 1. my Kick is c1, my snare is d1…. And so on. I Click in Strokes Voice mode the different Channels to switch the snare to ch 1. (Same with the Other samples) however there is no Snare Sound from Koala 🐨.
What i am doing wrong?
Do you Guys use the AUM, Koala and strokes combo?
Should i use one Sound in Koala ( e.g. The Kick) with one Instance of strokes. What workflow do you prefer?
Thanks in Advance
Try changing the base octave in Strokes.
The Koala pads are mapped from C2 to D#7 - according to one source - but I don't know if its C1 is the same as Strokes' C1

Sorry about this ! iOS 15 or later should fix the issue. If you don't want to update I can send v3.12.5 over testflight.
Break a leg !
I can’t update iOS, several apps that I use dont work in 15…. thanks!
BAM modulating sequencer lengths in Strokes crazy.
Any good examples of Strokes doing really melodic stuff? Stuff that people outside of this forum and Eurorack would find pleasant to listen to?
@congburn This is a fun (and weird) app
I wish it were multi-in, e.g., 4 inputs. Then I could feed external audio into channels 1-4, and take advantage of the 4 built-in envelope followers.
really enjoying the new Plaits synths in the latest update. Strokes has quickly become one of my most used apps
Can’t decide between this and Imaginando’s BAM
If you want a groove box that does clip launching, composing, mixing, and some synthesis BAM
If you want SYNTHESIS samples and moving drum patterns STROKES
I have both and while the interface is cognitively crowded if soooo much fun
Depends what you mean by melodic! It-and-you create sequencer melodies, modular synth style. You could pretty easily set it up to generate nice Wotja-style ambient. Very slow tempo, a couple Plaits modules….
Or at higher tempos, use Strokes as a funky bed and dub a nice melody on top.
Whew that’s a hard one. BAM is possibly my app of the year, but Strokes has become an all time favorite. I think BAM is much more immediately accessible though.
Strokes is Awesome. But, @audiblevideo ,between BAM and drambo, if you have both, can Drambo also do clip launching, composing, mixing, and some synthesis ? Trying to grab one or the other...
Pretty sure Drambo will do all that. Plus there is a large Drambo library on patchstorage.
