  • Anyone has experience with Trackspacer? On the videos I have seen, it seems like the difference it makes is imperceptible to me. Idk if it’s my hearing lol.

I am also looking at Fluid Pitch. I didn’t think it would be on sale at the same time.

Trackspacer is really good. Using sidechain you can carve out a space for tracks that need clarity, like vocals for example.

Yes, it’s subtle and it’s meant to be. You’ll be surprised at how much it can help but it depends on what frequencies you have in your mix.

    I appreciate your thoughts 👍

    Sorry for another question:

Do you need to buy some sort of software to use Native Instruments? I have read there is a free Kontakt player but I am never sure if it can be used for all of these instruments.

It comes as a standalone plus AU (on a Mac), AAX and VST plugins to use in a DAW. You will need a copy of Native Access to install and authorise it - it's a free download and basically manages your Native Instruments software. When you buy the software from Plugin Boutique it's the installer for Native Access that you actually download (unless you already own it) - then you are given instructions to create an NI account and link the licence to it.

i just snagged the everything bundle, and wow am i impressed. In all my years of producing, ive always heard Samples from Mars thrown about in the forums etc, yet never tried any of their stuff ,i think maybe i have one free pack floating around somewhere. So glad you posted this, especially at that price its insane. Extremely high quality drums and synths. The only negative thing i have to say about them, is there is maybe too many samples lol. Like I dont need 2 octaves of each drum from the 909 etc. But yah, excellent samples. for 59$ well worth it.

That’s too bad. I wasn’t thinking about that synth specifically but I passed on a bundle that had Playbox because I could not be sure if I had to buy a prereq software to use it.

I often see stuff on sale for Kontakt that looks interesting.

Sounds ideal for desktop people as they have made so many of them into actual instruments using Kontakt etc. I personally find if I buy a bunch of sampled wav files of synths etc, I nearly never end up using them. So I'm tempted but I think I might pass. What a deal though!

Some Kontakt instruments will run in the free Kontakt Player (https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/samplers/kontakt-7-player/) - you need to check before buying - Playbox does.

Did you get it from Pluginboutique? The one I downloaded the UI looked like it was made of LEGOs it was so bad.

  • 😂
I downloaded it from Native Access.

  • Samples From Mars ended my search for samples. That’s a really good deal for everything. Drambo loads the folders really well in the sampler and you can import the drum kits into Sitala if you use the converter on desktop to convert the ableton kits to Sitala. A little bit of work at first but once it’s done it’s done. Audiolayer can handle everything as well. My only complaint is that I wish the kits would follow a GM kit setup better

  • Having FM8 for 10 bucks is actually qualifying you for further native instruments upgrade paths such as getting Komplete standard and stuff…

You’re welcome, I’m a big fan, they are one of my favorite sample makers, so as soon as I saw the email I wanted to let people know. Glad you like it. I need the last couple years since it’s been that long since I bought it.

I usually hunt for free samples only buying them occasionally, but this is one bundle I would recommend to anyone looking for quality samples that cover all kinds of sound sources.

Chameleon is a decent option for loading up the synth sounds.

PS - SFM usually does the everything bundle around Black Friday (a shopping holiday in the States the day after Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, the following Monday) or the holiday season. So you will probably have another chance in 3 months if interested.

Plugin Botique has a free sample pack from Murst Instruments called Coda usually $29. It seems like it might be a plugin but it is actually samples and Instruments.

I was puzzled for a moment as to why SFM Leo would do an everything bundle and what it would include 😁
