Inphonik’s RX1200 is about a tenner off at ADSR at the moment.

^ thanks!
Did the iPad version of this ever get any love from the forum?
If you’re talking about RX1200: it’s not there (yet) but from what I’ve read they do have plans for it. I’ve got myself the desktop version upon release and it’s nice but to to be honest I haven’t used it yet. Still would like an option to actually sample and/or process audio through it (like S950 which I actually use).
Ah that’s a shame, I thought the touch interface would be suitable for something with such a legendary workflow…
On desktop there are alternatives that allow you to process the audio in realtime. I know that’s different but still comes in handy once in a while. People want the sound and not the cumbersome workflow of a hardware device.
With samplers in mind the only exception for me could be the lack of a graphical presentation of the waveform. This way you have to cut/slice by the ear and/or groove. I truly believe this is part of those characteristic shuffles generated by f.e. the SP-1200 and MPC60.
Moogerfooger MF-103S 12 Stage Phaser $9.99 on PluginBoutique.

I grabbed this quick! 😂
I have almost completely the desktop collection, $10 at a time.
I mean, it's Moog so you know it's a great piece of software, but I just don't need another phaser. Only phaser I'd consider right now is the desktop version of FAC Phazer when it finally comes out.
That's impressive. I've managed to grab 5 (102S, 103S, 105S, 108S, 109S) at the $10 mark. What did I miss?
I missed the deals for 105S and 109S!
I did get a deal on 104S the other day.
Just saw the phaser sale today. I don’t recall having a phaser effect on desktop so I’ll go for Moog
does anyone have a suggestion on a transient shaper on desktop? I have the kilohearts one from the bundle and the Hornet one but was wondering if anyone here knows of a gem of one
@Fingolfinzz maybe have a look at this, if you're quick, there's still a (pretty regularly occurring) sale going on:
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/spl_transient_designer_plus.html
https://oeksound.com/plugins/spiff/
That’s a pretty good one. They usually have better deals on Black Friday etc
I really like Transgressor 2 but it’s still Roseta if on Mac. The NI one is simple and very effective. The KHz one looks as good as any though already so maybe demo?
Oh Waves Smack Attack is decent as well if you can hold your nose and buy from Waves
are you in ableton? the best transient shapers i have are surprisingly built in max for live. I have 15 or so different transient shapers, and https://www.noirlabs.co/ this is my favorite. Extremely powerful, simple to use.
This one is super cool, in that it exports midi on the transients picked up , its also crazy versatile, can get extremely tight transients : https://robertkgm.gumroad.com/l/gma-trnsd2
this one has Multiband and a lot of other added functionality, like distortion and eqing within the transients. very unique and interesting results. https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/transient-machines/
Noiseworks Transplit (not Max) is fucking epic... it splits the signal into transients and sustained. Extremely powerful mixing and sound design tool. https://noiseworksaudio.com/products/transplit/
Smack (waves) is an old favorite. Nothing flashy, but it sounds good and is simple to use.
Softube transient is uniqe as well: you can focus on certain frequency spectrum, it also just sound really fucking good, as do most of the softube plugins : https://www.softube.com/user-manuals/transient-shaper
Totally forgot about the SPL one, I’ll have to demo it cos I like their stuff. Spiff looks really awesome I forgot I was looking at that too one time yeah a deal on that would be better at that price. I think I’m over waves at this point, they got overzealous with that last trick but I wish they hadn’t cos there are a few gems in their collection. I’m still rocking ableton lite so I can’t use the max stuff but max is getting appealing lately seeing all the shit you can get for it plus making your own stuff. I do love the few things from Softube I have, I’ll check theirs out too. They do a really good job at warming up the audio. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
Yeah, I wish I could use Max in Reaper… I tried switching to Ableton to collaborate with my brother but just couldn’t get on with it after learning Reaper. I sold it and switched back.
I love Reaper, it’s made it really hard to use anything else on desktop. I get along fine with Ableton but Reaper is so much more efficient on my computer and it’s perfect for a control freak like me
ADPTR Sculpt is also worth checking out.
Like with all Plugin Alliance plugins never pay more than $29.99. There’s always a sale on the horizon and with the easy to find $25 loyalty vouchers uoh should be able to get it for $15.
and it’s a great plugin. Much more than just a transient shaper with upwards and downwards compression modules + tonal balance.
I just got the SPL TD plus Unfiltered Audio Fault for $9.98 total with the SEPTEMBER-25-OFF voucher code. Not bad
Mixbox for $29 again
https://audioplugin.deals/product/mixbox-by-ik-multimedia/
Generate is on sale! $49
https://www.newfangledaudio.com/generate
That one is worth it.
Seconding this, Sculpt is a great plugin. Somewhat unique in the world of dynamics plugins. Sounds great, wide range of use cases.
