She is already begging for Pattern Triggers… well, just make them Snapshots (of the instrument’s states)..

Few surprises while reading the manual...

Looking forward to interacting with ‘fx pads’ :)

    Sequencer:
    5. Quantize selection - set the duration of each step (from 1 bar to 1/16th notes)
    6. Gate duration of each note (sustain time)

Does this mean that we can select a step and adjust these properties for each individual step?
Very glad to see this, only wondering about the UI/UX aspect.

Time to hear this lady scream some more :)

5 and 6 are referring to two settings at the sequencer level, I expect them to be global, not per step

Yes, that was my first assumption based on pictures, but the manual suggests more... each step/each note, which would be a very welcome addition :)

Ah, then I may be misunderstanding "each", I'm not a native speaker

Sounds global to me … we’ll see soon enough! Would be nice if you could hold a step knob and set duration/gate for that step only. If not, then maybe this p-locking will work in your host.

Mutation permanence sounds good, looking forward to that one.

Well, let’s see if bram can top himself. Last time (Fluss) was my favorite one yet, despite my initial grumblings that it was a bit too streamlined (what? Sometimes I’m wrong).

I must have a zillion 10+ minute Fluss recordings to pick and choose from to use when needed in the future.

Gauss and Hammerhead are still tops for me but Fluss is amazing. I’m stoked for this one too. It’s hard to chose a favorite from Bram though. My favorite dev for sure.

  • Just one day to go, right? My wallet is ready

  • It has an lpg I’m sold

  • I’m pawing at the manual like a well thumbed razz mag

  • Hahaha, being named after a girl doesn’t help I guess, though I don’t remember ever seeing that Hilda is a popular name with porn stars, unless maybe for those into the ‘mature’ niche lol

Lol I was dreaming of an other girl….

  • I was reading the thread on wiki/ types of synthesis . What kind of synthesizer does this fall under? It sounds very cool

  • In my imagination, Hilda is that curvy strong fraulein (with pigtails) in lederhosen carrying 6 massive steins of beer at the endless Oktoberfest of my dreams.

Something tells me this app will not dispel that comforting association.

    :)

    analog modeling synthesizer

  • Just check the manual, it nails the description... it’s a ‘best of’ collection of different approaches... east coast, west coast, analog, digital...

I’m more thinking of her being the older one one tempting you deeper into the woods with the promise of spicy gingerbread to whet the palate followed by poison apples to open the mind…

  • I one knew a dog named Hilda...the sweetest little Labrador puppy...

  • Its a type of complex oscillator. But its not typically so as the modulation oscillator is a simpler sub oscillator. It has other west coasty features like wave folding, a loopable AD envelope and a LPG (switchable to a VCA). But it also gas a filter so not a pure west coast thing. Its pretty obviously inspired by Make Noise’s trio of crazy desktop units, the sequencer is reminiscent of 0-Ctrl. It feels particularly inspired by Strega but super charging the oscillator section.
All in all, I’m excited to get it!
I wish it had patch points like the Ripplemaker but I get that UI isn’t for everyone.

    Probably wont do live tweaking.

Setup before were a Euclidean drums with a faderfox pc12. A vertical row of knobs. Sometimes it sounds like you can make a long set without programming patterns and even the sounds can be transposed or switched via midi note. Then sampling radio live with gauss and glitching. A mic with maybe feildscaper. Dual mononoke on an ipad with an ec4 controller. Then on other ipad. Ripplemaker and Hilda ( plus maybe a synth to a korg microkey air ) It could actually be a Mononoke. A Fluss. A ripplemaker. A Hilda. All half screen.

Id need to buy Fluss and make the midi again for Euclidean.

Edit. Theres actually a third ipad but not sure about line input but they could actually route through a scratchdeck and then to input.

So a third scredn plus dvs turntable and a phone to record video.

This is how I setup before before switching to Drambo and getting annoyed with euclidean sometimes.

Don’t ever defame my wife like that again or I will sue you

Edit: Nevermind, only a lookalike. Carry on

  • What is the estimated MSRP in USD?

  • just went briefly through this
    http://ruismaker.com/wp-content/uploads/hilda_poster.pdf

    Fucking WOW.

@brambos Bro, you are genius. This absolutely epic, can’t wait to put my dirty fingers on this beauty and tweak it to the bone. masterpiece.

  • I’m getting into the “clear” sound nowadays having always been an absolute analogue whore. ButterSynth is a great example, Flowtones also in the same vein (that 5th Bass preset, wow) and I hope Hilda delivers the hat-trick for me.

I’m buying it no matter what it sounds like, obv. :D

Agreed. looking forward to the drop. time for live pads and choppin!

  • To the many replies, my forray into synth is drambo and Moog model D and model 15 so I dont know much about them. I got about 3 different answers, and i checked out the manual. It sounds and looks fantastic from the videos. I was just trying to see what makes it different from other synths out there, or is it unlike any other? (And did they say the price yet? It looks like it’s available in other countries already)
