Wow, this is great. It reminds me of the 0-Coast, but maybe that's the mix of east- and west-coast concepts.

The UI is very inviting. It's much closer to hardware in the way it invites you in to experiment. I'm hosting in Drambo, which is a great match so far.

Yeah! It’s like he rolled all three Make Noise devices: 0-Coast, 0-CTRL and Strega into one 🤯
    I’m in love ❤️ again

You just drag on those to create various effects - it's all in the manual. This is not a long manual. Rtfm people! 😂

When I got a new synth I never read the manual , I use it quickly to have an idea if it fit to me. And after I read the manual. Hilda is for me so I will read now the manual lol

Maaaaan this is just too good. Already made half a dozen presets. App of the year so far it feels like. 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

We can export current preset or the presets we create on zip. I think to create some more finish preset to share.

Agreed! Would love to hear what everyone’s creating with it.

  • The touch plates are the special sauce. So far drone mode is my favorite. Love the way the modulation is implemented. And the touch effects gives you the best of both worlds.

  • @brambos So when I load the initial patch and do not touch any controls and just play one note from AUM midi keyboard I’m getting a delay effect on top of the patch. Is that meant to be there, being a initial patch ?

Yeah looks like the wet knob for delay is about 1/3 of the way up on the init patch. You could always turn it all the way down and overwrite the init patch to fix it

  • @brambos my friend DJ on the Top world DJ chart will buy it so Hilda will certainly have it sounds being used at the TomorrowLand 2023 in July . I am waiting for his feedback.

Yeah, it was just a dump of the default settings I used as a starting point for creating presets, which included a bit of delay in the settings.

I suppose a true init-patch would be dry. I can change that of course :)

Yeah, it's definitely always best to experiment first before reading the manual!

  • Yes, btw @HotStrange, I think this is definitely one of the most exciting releases of the year. Capable of an absolute monster sound, and so damn fun to tweak!

I need to know more about fingerprints touch.

    It’s in the manual.

You can drag a finger away from the little fingerprint buttons, and it modulates the effect. Pitch bend, for example.

    @HotStrange Ok thanks for that

Oh absolutely. Only an hour in and it’s maybe my app of the year and up there with Gauss and Hammerhead with Brams best.

  • Just getting my head around the oscillator section now using a scope for good measure.

  • Good idea to add Gauss effect with sound from Hilda.

  • bigups Bram!
    any audio/video demos yet ?

  • I’m digging the hell out of this so far .. it’s making me think of Ripplemaker a bit which is a GREAT thing . I think I might need to look at the manual though lol

  • Hilda is in fact the new high end coming to iOS lol

  • oh man I can only look at it with volume turned down... torture

    Mine neither!!!

  • Any “nice” sounds? Or is it all aggressive and abrasive? I have a 0-coast and I can tease some very delightful sounds out of it. Lush even.
I appreciate that Hilda isn’t necessarily meant to be exactly like a 0-coast….

During 1 minutes I was ? And at the left bottom you have load and first I load a preset and play with all buttons and you are in 1 minutes latter. 5 minutes latter from a factory preset I create a preset completely different so good that I save it and will record it in Cubasis as a layer for a new evolving track.

If some people can be with a ? It is as Hilda open on a « init » not a preloaded preset. @brambos why did you choose a init preset as many synth open on a factory preset ? From a marketing point of view and for beginners perhaps you should open Hilda with a very good factory preset ?

I occasionally get a ‘kind’ smile in response to my sounds 🥲

  • I did a test pushing up to max the oscillator dry and it is really among the best analog oscillator in the market you have the hardware feeling. If it was an electronic synth harware I will state as top high end pro synth.

  • Is this an intro price? With so many amazing apps coming out I’m over my monthly quota by quite a bit 😂

No sure but, trust me, you need this synth Greg. It loves techno/house/electronica/EDM etc and will fit right in with your style.

That's so nice that you notice that. I spent a lot of time perfecting the oscillators for this synth and indeed I think they are the best I've ever done. Wavefolding and FM require the base waves to be really clean in order to avoid aliasing and unwanted distortions (even at high oversampling), so I put a lot of focus on that :)
