I create usually deep bass sound so it was great , so to answer to you I tested 2 creamy sound including a piano preset Sad piano and make it , creating 3 presets, very 80´ to very EDM so it is really totally versatile. It can be agressive, creamy, 80.
This is the normal price. I don't typically do intro-pricing, and the only sales I do are usually around Black week (not sure which apps I'll do this year).
So no hurry
Yeah it’s definitely got a lot of range in the control, I’ve just been mapping p locks in dRambo to it and really lovely to be able to modulate all those different things while all remaining musically useful…
Congrats! Looking forward to some sound demos! I’m curious how you use it after all this anticipation
😊
Funny that, mine neither, lol
absolutely fucking amazing .. even better than i expected .. this baby is REALLY deep and sound top premium league … sounds like HW ..
love the noisy bbs delay emulation !
@brambos One question: When i change oscillator wave , the wave image on knob doesn’t change - is this bug or just my expectations it will change were wrong ? 😄
Yeah, it can do nice and subtle and friendly.
But so can pretty much every synth, so I wanted to focus on the differentiators
we should start a support group
I started implemented that, but I kept changing the oscillator mapping so after a while I just left it static (so you could argue it's me being lazy )
Dear Bram Bos. Your apps are cool, but all of them have a nasty jumpy controls bug, which drives me nuts and made me delete almost all of them. And it is here as well. Whats going on - say you turn the value of a knob to "67". When you are changing it, it will not start changing from "67" but will instantly jump to say "52" value and then you control it further. I tried turning knobs as slow as possible but no luck. It doesnt make any sense without precise control. Can you do something with it? I really want to use this synt.
Just waking up in the US. With the cost of a recent app, this is a no brainer insta buy. I have no idea what it will do yet every app I have by Bram Bos is straight fire. No need to wait for sales. Happy to help this dev eat.
.
Thanks! Will definitely buy it, it’s just a case of when 😊
hows on cpu ?
Strange as I put knobs to 63 for doing a preset and it stay at 63 no jump ? Perhaps I am not using it the way you use it. I use it as standalone actually. IPad Air 4 latest update of ios16.
I really have never experienced this or I would have surely fixed it. In which host or on which device are you using my apps?
Yes it can be so frustrating
Discover a new trick on Hilda , you can use 2 fingersprints at least at the same time You need 2 fingers to do that but hope that you got 2 fingers left 😅 and add more to a sound.
Haven’t bought an app in ages but this one was instabuy. Only skimmed the surface, the fingerprint thingies are very cool. It’s also great that you can modulate everything while hosting in drambo. Great for using all of available drambo modules as modulating sources, you can even feedback it into itself, at least I could in the 5min I spent with it so far.
@brambos does it again, your apps are always so inspiring. Someone said you build apps that you would buy yourself, and that joy you must have building those, really shows. Your apps are always a pleasure for the ears (and the eyes). I also admire your manuals, always a thing of beauty, and always informative beyond the app itself, cause you always provide some background and historical info I find most entertaining. Anyway, thanks for yet another gem!
Wish devs would make this universal and include Mac M1.
Bravo Bram, this fantastic! I have the Make Noise Coast/Strega/Control set and this is similarly inspiring and wonderful. Love the fingerprints especially.
Cool. Bought it . Love it 🙏🏼
Seems lightweight to me. Quick test: I can host 5 instances in drambo at 512 buffer, before it starts crackling (adding a 6th gives the occasional crack, not crackling galore).
But I’m on an air2, so a pretty ancient device (unfortunately I don’t have anything better with which to test)
Haven’t even had my morning coffee and Hilda has me awake after a short mess around. Excited to learn more. Loads of fun. Thank you Bram Bos!
‘Moon Goblin’ featuring Hilda by Bram Bos
To tell the true I bought Hilda as a blind buy just to support a top dev @brambos and I it was one of my best buy with Moog Model 15 . This is a gem for fun users, composer, cinetic , EDM . It is one of the most serious professional synth in iOS that can replace pricey Harware. So Hilda on stage should be a reality.
My friend top professional is in travel but read my message and bought it, as a top pro is really surprise 😮 buy the quality of the sound he can create , he told me that if Hilda is stable as a pro expect it will use it in live and this guy live jam at the biggest festivals in the planet in front of more than 20 000 people on main festival stage.
So now @brambos I have the burden to find any possible bugs and crashes problems. He will try for sure to push as a pro to test it a lot before going live as real pro do and on a big PA live set up.
This is maybe a very noob question, but the way to use it to process external audio is through the EXT.IN input? It is doing something, I can hear and see. Is this the way? I should perhaps spend a few hours with it and properly read the manual before exposing my ignorance
Yes, that's the correct way.
You can use the Ext input knob to set the balance between the internal sound and external sound. So you can also mix the external signal with internal signals if you like (or mute the internal oscillator completely)
5 instances on a old IPad Air 2 it is not cpu heavy. My future step will be to see how it is on Cubasis 3,5 on IPad Air 4 and on GarageBand.
Oh, excellent timing! I got called from the subs bench to participate in the Metropolis Soundtrack project, and I’ve just added my Hilda noises to the mix I’m working on. The fingerprint pads in combo with the sequencer are genius, letting me add some circuit bending weirdness to the programmed patterns. It’s an excellent fit for the noises I was working with already.
So would an absolute noobie who just bought moot model D and model 15 less than a week ago enjoy or get much out of this? Or is this better left to those who know what they are doing ?
