Understood already, thank you. But any chance you have experience with AirPods in particular? They’re supposedly faster, and I’m wondering if they’re fast enough for MIDI recording with quantize set to a larger resolution, such as eighth notes.
No doubt you’re right, in that I wouldn’t bother trying to record strictly audio/multitrack environment.
@Blipsford_Baubie unfortunately I can’t say. I use the Powerbeats Pros
Nice… it is pretty easy to build songs.. loving the idea of ‘follow song key’… it is something missing in other DAWs/Programs…
Just a quick one… has this forum upped capacity for Tuesday? 🤣 I have a feeling there will be multiple Logic threads on the go.
Having grown up in a place where there was real scarcity sometimes, I never understood those who chose to queue and camp out for days to buy new iPhones even though there was clearly no need to do that as there wasn't any scarcity at all. It was all cosplay. Now it feels like some of those very people are here on the forum, doing the online version of the same thing for LPX. 🙂👍
A few more days now and the backlash will be equally entertaining: "just Garageband in a suit", "nothing like the desktop version", "I'm done with this crap, back to Cubasis". I'm already queuing up for the show.

I’m playing the new Zelda until Tuesday
We should have just 2 threads -
1. Logic is great
2. Logic sucks
If you want to rant about Logic put in in one of those.
Yeah lol.... I was expecting the first post in this thread to read 'I just can't take it.... Stop making new threads about logic' lol
I've found the BT latency to be near minimal with both Beats and AirPods. Far moreso than your run-of-the-mill Walmart/Asda BT headphones which have longer latency and poorer battery life. 🤣
Still, wired headphones are best for live recording and live performance, although with Ambient it's negligible since live Ambient is sloooow. 🤣
That is a nice option to have. Although I often turn it off so that I can modulate keys in the smart instruments. 🤣
Ha! Ervin, everything you say here is totally wrong…
Apple will deliver an stunning version of Logic Pro for our beloved iPads.
All haters will be surprised, but, they will probably find some little UI-thing or functionalities that they can complain on…
Personally I will still using apps like Drambo and AUM along with Logic Pro…
Even if Logic Pro simply turned out to be Garageband with full parameter automation for internal effects and synths as well as for AUv3s, I'd subscribe. Garageband is easy and fun. But we're apparently getting so many more features than that. 😂 Can't wait to subscribe on Tuesday and watch the Youtube videos that trickle in.
Alternatively just move residence to Loopypro.com/forum as Auduobus is no more and this forum has been overrun by the other LPro fanatics.
Or better...could @thesoundtestroom @Michael and @CapnWillie create a new dedicated "Logic Pro" section to this forum? ☺️
No, this is the best bit for me - the anticipation, usually followed by a serious amount of fence sitting, eventual purchase, and the inevitable disappointment.
Monzo, you will definitely NOT be disappointed on tuesday!
Tuesday 23rd of may will be the new international flagday to celebrate the day iPad became a real pro device…
Just a shame my Air 4’s an amateur!
I want to try the demo - bit concerned about recent reports of charging issues with the latest iOS update, though…
I’m prepaired, just installed the new iPadOS 16.6 beta1…
I’m happy for telstar5 and skiphunt is correct. It’s called being human. And that’s ok. Until the next new thing, happy jammin.
Latency on iOS for 2nd gen airpods pro is only 83 seconds. That's pretty incredible! (Edit: milliseconds not seconds!)
83 seconds Gav?
Charging issues ??? Can you elaborate more ? Noticed recently some issues on my M1 Air - it’s on charger for half of day and zero charged … i have latest iOS update installed (non beta)
The life cycle of a game changer
You could probably manage making a decent cup of tea in that time if the water in the kettle was preheated
I felt that way before Drambo and it exceeded my expectations. It’s the only time I haven’t been let down by iOS hype.
I’m not buying into the Logic Pro hype though. I have a feeling it’ll be a let down for those expecting parity with the desktop version.
My biggest fear is that I’ll hate its workflow as I couldn’t get comfortable with Garageband either. Then my only hope will be that Cubase comes to iOS one day.
16.6? Was that the fix for 16.5 already? Is there a way to download 16.4 only? Like how
Macs have their older macOS setups you can Download and install? I found a site saying they had an old update but it wasn’t apple so I didn’t want to chance it.
Also did anyone ever see iOS system data “other system data” at 60GB?! It’s almost 80% of my entire drive
I read about it in this thread, though an Air 4 user has confirmed theirs is ok:

Bit much… mine says 334 MB
