    Awesome, glad to hear it! I’m on week two and feel the same so far, but there’s always the fear that enthusiasm will fade.

    I was a HUGE fan of Push 1 but started searching in earnest for a more portable solution when my laptop started showing its age in 2019. Tried to go iPad-centric then ran through a bunch of the “grooveboxes of the month” before admitting that Live/Push was fundamentally more compatible with how I like to work. Standalone is perfect for jamming on the couch while half-watching Star Trek with my partner, and Continuity is basically seamless when I have time to arrange and finalize. I also ordered no-name CV splitters off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B096XNHTH3?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image for anyone looking) and am very excited to “properly” integrate my Moog semi-modulars.

    I will, however, say that I’m still thinking about how much it cost. I was able to sell my old audio interface, two MIDI controllers, and a handful of pedals that are fairly similar to Live devices, plus I was considering buying a multi-channel MIDI-to-CV adapter, plus I already had Live Suite and an ADAT expander, so the upfront cost was much lower for me than it might be for someone else. And despite that, Push 3 still feels expensive. But it also feels right when I’m using it, so I expect the sticker shock will fade.

    So far it feels right...there is a lot to like...I feel much better about it than I did the Maschine+ when I first got it.

    It's so interesting how different instruments can take your style in a new direction...let's see where this goes :)

    I am just loving Simpler on it...I love being able to easily ReSample and remix/rebuild...so freaking cool...

    I've tried the M+, SP 404MK2, and MPC One Samplers...I and I just prefer Simpler over all of them...so it's great that it's finally Stand-Alone.

    If Ableton ever makes Simpler available in Ableton Note...watch OUT!!!

    I have the MOTU Ultralite MK5 on order as well (I returned the Tascam Model 12 I mentioned in another thread for the MOTU)...I don't like the amount of space my older Scarlett OctaPre takes up in my setup.

    It only comes with a license for Ableton Intro.

    if you have a AU/VST, that’s obviously 3rd party, is there a wrapper or something for you to use the plug-in standalone mode?

    In stand alone you only have access to the native instruments and effects within Live.

    When in Controller mode you can access all of Live+VSTs.

    You also have access to max for live devices as well, though all do not work. I see in the new beta that they are now supporting M4L devices written in node.js!

    The one thing that I wish push had was a row of buttons underneath or over the knobs that are dedicated to either "toggles" or "triggers". It feels like an obvious thing that would reap such huge benefits.

    As a example I can recommend 'Catch'. This is a monophonic performance sampler and works perfect on the Push 3 Standalone.

    It does that in Settings when you press Shift...I forget which menu, but the interaction model is there on Device for sure.

    I genuinely can’t wait to dig into this — EZBot is one of the best instructors out there, but the Elektron workflow didn’t dazzle me. Stoked for him to demo a piece of gear I’ve actually clicked with!

    Is programming drums hard? What is the drum programming like? Is there a preset or list of stuff? Is writing and composing melodic lines difficult ?

    I am going to set it up with the iPad and 4 external synths and send it all over ADAT to the Push3.

    Thanks: this shows me not only will I never get this machine, but that my current configuration and workflow is not only more than adequate, it’s perfect for me:
    1) iPad/iPhone (+USB adapter)
    2) Roland S-1
    3) Roland Zenbeats
    4) ios/iPadOS amazing apps
    5) Arturia minilab 3
    6) Beats Studio

    I could never possibly even trick myself into thinking (if you heard my last track) that it could be usable by me

    That’s perfect for echo because that’s his style and he knows it well, but that’s just as new to me as dRambo and iOS was in march

    I think I’ll stick with the cheap, inexpensive, economical and easy way to go. I got all I need plus a couple of apps I don’t.

    No more buying gear and def no more apps

    Yeah that’s just scrolling through the presets and slapping some effects on as I go. Live has some really good sound packs!

    Those drums aren’t programmed, they are just played live on the pads. I practice finger drumming a lot, so it’s kind of second nature at this point.

    I’ve had all 3 pushes since day one so I’m used to the isomorphic key layout as well. Like anything, you just have to keep practicing even while you suck at it. Because we all are bad at the beginning. But persistence gives payoff.
