  • Midi looping harmonics.

    Wont be using kq feedback.

Aum will be a background app.

Should be able to make decent midi control of 2 x bleass voice loops ( with midi loop harmonics )

and a voice app like Pitchshifter or just apps. To a loopy.

  • Had to be quick as it wont be setup. To make a screen recording.

  • I wonder how well this would work with GarageBand, with GB’s issues with midi ?

Voices is loaded into an effects slot, not midi so it should work just fine to process incoming audio. You would need to route midi to Voices to “play” it but it also works just as well as a normal effect.

    Re:the last sentence…

What would I not be able to do? Does that mean I couldn’t “play “ the voice with the keys?

I don’t have GB installed at the moment so I can’t confirm. Do you have any other vocal effects? As long as you can point the built in keyboard at Voices you’d be fine but I can’t remember if you can do that or not.

Yeah in GB with vocals (or anything with an “audio “ file using the microphone icon ie merged tracks or imported files ) You can’t access the built in GB keyboard

Damn. Yeah in that case you’d probably only be able to use it as a standard effect. It’s still pretty cool in that regard but I wouldn’t pay full price to only have half the functionality.

Do you have a hardware controller or any other iOS keyboard apps? If you can route the midi from the standalone app to the Voices hosted in GB it might work?

Yeah sadly no external controller yet

Damn :( sorry friend! Wish Apple would just get over and add midi support for GB.

Yeah I agree but I don’t that will happen since Logic Pro is their priority in this field

Unfortunately you may be correct. Which sucks because I think GB has a lot to offer as its own app and it goes beyond just being an entry way to Logic these days, imo.

  • Please help, Newbie here! Re: Bleass voices and using the keyboard to add more voices. (I Just joined audiobus forum so not sure how to get this question in the right ‘category’ on audiobus. It seems to have just posted to ‘general discussions’ ) I am only using bleass voices to create harmonies on top of my voice. I have success with the 4 voices at the top but not to add more voices than that. I don’t get much response from the bleass keyboard on my iPad Pro m1 in bleass voices. I do hear something but it’s really soft.
I understand I need to send midi to bleass for the keyboard to respond so I downloaded scaler2 and am trying to send chords and progressions to bleass - Haven’t managed? Please can anyone help? If there’s an easier way than Scaler2 to get chords into bleass or at least get the keyboard to be responsive so I can also add more voices manually.
I need bleass voices to send to loopy pro. That is working already with bleass voices as an effect in the loopy mixer but like I said, no luck with going further than the 4 main voices in bleass. Muuuch appreciated if anyone has the trick. Thanx a bunch

  • Okay, I’ve just purchased Bleass Voices.

When running Bleass Voices as an auv3 effect it adds latency to everything.
Normally I would expect an auv3 effect to have latency itself
but not to affect the latency for everything.
Has anyone had a similar issue?

That must be the effect of your DAW/AUv3 host dealing with Voices' reported latency.

Quite possibly, this is when it’s being hosted in AUM.
I haven’t tried it yet in dRambo as my current projects are quite intensive
and would require some rerouting of the external stuff.
I’m running AUM on my ancient 9.7” pro hosting auv3 instruments, effects and as a midi router.

By the way it’s still got drambo before the CLIPS on it. ;)
