    Maybe a clip-on battery?

i like this glasses, some pretty smart details .. just afraid that rumours about $3000 price are right...

By the way, home theater companies are now on notice.

And that Disney demo was pretty cool.

this will be device which 90% of people will be not able to afford it... it's nice gadget but just for rich people ... changes nothing in next few years ...

  • Brainwashing 2.0 :)
We’ll make an app to monitor your children brain damage from day one!

  • VisionPro is so ugly. Who wants to have a FaceTime call with that device covering the face of the person you are talking to?

Sure the specs are amazing, and it’s Apple… so it will be successful and lead the way for AR.

But nope, consider me uninterested until it shrinks down to large-sunglasses size, maybe 8 years?

New tech always starts this way. If one is price sensitive, then these early stage products probably aren’t for you, right? How many poor people do you see running out to buy electric cars?

Have you seen literally every other VR headset available today?

And they just announced you appear to others as a person NOT wearing these glasses. Hahaha.

Lol, yes they are all ugly. And this is arguably the least ugly option, so thats part of why its going to be successful.

And they just announced you appear to others as a person NOT wearing these glasses.

    Trippy, yes impressive. And weird

  • Well that was exciting - some stuff I don’t need but couldn’t afford anyway, and the rest, stuff I don’t want and couldn’t care less about.

Nice one Apple! But, if they’d announced a 12.9” iPad Air….

  • Give me Gadget VR on Vision Pro!

Everyone who can afford these will want this, I’m betting.

Wow. Not cheap, but an amazing system. $3,499.

Nod to the music community: anyone else catch the DJ tweaking a filter using VisionPro… from his sofa !

  • 3 and a half grand. :o :o :o

  • Interesting :)
But they still need apps, watching films etc in VR is a novelty which for me doesn't last for long so it all depends on new apps which hopefully will come and they've mentioned very little about software so there's obviously very little at launch. Will be interesting to see if it takes off. Also they are still quite chunky in size. It's good to see competition for Meta though.

    Starts at $3500! Madness.

  • At least we all have several months to start saving up.
No new OLED tv that’s for sure.

  • Did he say a 2 hour battery life?

    Yeah for the external battery.

  • Did they mention anything about hand tracking, or did I miss that?

  • edited June 2023

So, if 4 people in the same household want to watch a movie together, that’ll be $14k please.

Does @NeuM work at Apple or something? Seems to be quite the fan of everything Apple no matter what. ;)

It’s all cool for sure, but I won’t be getting on the wait list any time soon.

I’m also curious if and how they’ve solved the issue that’s plagued VR headsets for a couple decades, ie. having displays that close to your eyes tend to cause pretty severe headaches and vertigo. I’m guessing it’s been resolved somehow, but still curious how.

    It's all hand tracked.

watching movies in VR is actually only real use case for which i would buy it ... of course not for +3.5k 😂
that is madness , i'll pass on it

  • It doesn't make sense how it's been developed for so long but there's no significant app on release other than just showing films and screens floating etc.

    Yeah for the external battery.

so it even doesn't last for whole one part of Lord of The Rings extended version 🤣🤣

  • Breaking news - today Behringer is beginning to work on a much uglier version for $500 :)
Now that their prototype has been announced it should be a smooth sailing.
