Attention: It might not be able to record when you use Loopback inter apps.

I have no need for the rest of the plugs, but this one, if it works, would be worth the cost of the whole.

There’s a demo of it in action on the devs YouTube page. But you can’t record into logic it seems. But I’d you could run Sculpture from Logic into AUM and record that into Neon or something. It’d be well worth the price for me.

You can't record into Neon directly in Logic already? Or simply export a track to use in AUM?

I was thinking more to use Sculpture in a jam within AUM instead of being confined to Logic but I see your point. I just used Neon as a reference for recording stems. So on other words just to use the app to include Sculpture in my AUM sessions. I just got a reply back from the dev that this does indeed work. So looks like I’m renewing Logic after all. Being able to use Sculpture and the studio horns and strings inside AUM is awesome.

Yeh, makes sense for live jams.

So has anyone tried this to route Sculpture in Logic to AUM?

Also how are the other modules?

Yes I did route sculpture from logic to aum successfully! Haven't tried the other things

So are you just using it as a midi effect with Sculpture and then loading that into an effect slot within AUM?

Yep. Load a loopback in auv3 as an fx after sculpture, then load an auv3 of loopback out in an instrument slot in aum. Make sure aum and logic are set to the same sample rate. Connect logic and aum via ableton link as desired (see logic manual if necessary). No latency issues 🔥

Man this is so awesome. Being able to use Sculpture and the studio horns and strings in an AUM session is huge for me. That alone is enough to keep Logic around. Thanks for confirming. Amazing stuff 🤩

Also big thanks to @RyoutaKira for the app!

Yeah my logic trial expired and I was planning to wait until a decent update before subbing, but this was enough to change my mind.

  • I Just tried using Sonobus in Logic. First time I tried I was able to get it set up, set up a group name etc., but I found that mute buttons etc were all totally unresponsive. 2nd time, I could not even set up a group name. Seems to be broken in Logic. in comparison, KQ Voices works flawlessly as long as your sample rates are the same in the apps you are connecting anyway. Can anyone replicate a problem with using Sonobus in AUM?

Agreed. It also compelled me to dove back into Logic for the first time in a week and I enjoyed it a lot more. After using only Zenbeats and C3 for the last few days just to compare, I think Logic is right up there with them so who knows? By the end of this month I may be all in on Logic. I’ll say, compared to the stock EQs and Compressors in the other 2, Logic win hands down.

  • I will have a video up shortly on routing from Logic to AUM using @RyoutaKira Voice Plugins Loopback function to stream midi from Logic to AUM

  • Trying to figure out if there’s any way to use this to send midi between tracks in logic but haven’t been successful yet. Anyone?
I did manage to send and record Samplr from AUM to logic - put loopback in on the fx node after samplr in AUM, in Logic create a midi track with loopback out as the instrument and bus the signal to an audio track. Seems a little convoluted but hey it worked!

  • is it possible to send midi/audio from one track to another inside cubasis?

  • Cool, works like breeze, two instances of Obsidian sent into independent AUM channels ..

@RyoutaKira Great job with that Loopback plugin, extremely handy !

How is cpu and quality of app.

Vs Brusfri ( cpu and quality )

Vs Tb pitch shifter, blesss voice. Drambo or any pitch shifter app ( cpu and quality )

    and midi for pitch shift.

  • In case anyone missed it, the vid I posted here shows how to use loopback in Logic and aum, and how to sync them using ableton link, and has 5 giveaways for any kymatica (aum dev) app!

Haven’t paid attention to CPU yet but it’s mostly bare bones. The Loopback is definitely the big selling point here. The pitch shifter and talkbox are great, don’t get me wrong, but not nearly as fully featured as the Bleass or TB ones, as you can kinda see from the pictures. I don’t have Brusfri so can’t comment there but the one that comes in the KQ app does its job. Highly worth $8 imo.

honestly, just the loopback plugin itself is worth $8

Couldn’t agree more. That’s mostly why I bought, the others are just a (really) nice bonus.

  • I’ve read the whole thread, but I’m still not sure: can you use this to send audio from Drambo into Logic pro? I have tried and it doesn’t work.

I've tried to send audio from Drambo into endlesss and it did work (not really practical unfortunately, because endlesss cannot be active in the background). I found the naming not intuitive, you have to put the "loopback In" into Drambo as an FX and the "loopback out" in the destination as an instrument, tried the other way around first...

Haven’t had a chance to try that yet but I can when I get home.

That’s it! I was using them the wrong way around. It seems you have to put the receiving plugin on a MIDI track in Logic, then bus the audio to an audio track to record it. But still.

  • so in the video it shows routing from Logic into Aum.
but I want to send my audio from AUM and record the audio into logic. how do i set this up. do I need to setup an audio track and set loopback 1 as a plug-in effect on that track, or
send it into a midi instrument track?
    what is the routing?

I haven’t tried yet but check out Gavs videos! I think he explains that in his new upload.

    • In AUM load loopback IN on an fx node beneath the audio you want to send
    • In logic set up a midi track with loopback OUT as the instrument. You should be hearing the audio from AUM
    • Send the audio out from that midi track to a bus then set up an audio track with that bus as your input. Record your audio!

Remember AUM and logic can be synced with Ableton link

  • What about aum to Drambo.

My system build seems to have failed, near completion.

    So having to re-think.

    Channel cpu.
