Anybody try the Noise suppressor and Vocoder ?

Yep both work very well from my limited testing.

I might achieve it by adding another unit, Loopback Mixer.

    Loopback ports increased to 64!!!

    WTF!

This developer is awesome, and, soon on parity with the greatest on this platform, like Mr AUM, Mr Bram Bos, mr Drambo - and a few more forgotten here…

  • Wow thank you so much @RyoutaKira!
I just did some experimenting in logic with fugue machine sending to 4 MIDI channels on different tracks. It works but is inconsistent- I am seeing drop outs and stuck notes. I found changing the midi port to a different port then back on loop back midi brings the signal back sometimes not. I’m not sure if this is a problem within logic or loopback. Would love to help troubleshoot but not sure how - very promising!

  • From a user in the AUv3 group..Ableton Live support ✅

I found some bugs on Loopback MIDI. I will release the fixed version soon.

    Nice, thanks.

  • I've been using this app to send MIDI out and Audio out from Garageband to AUM and it works great. Does anyone know if there is a way to send audio into Garageband using this? I've tried to set it up using AUM as a source but it's only possible to add the Loopback Out as an instrument, and I don't see how to make it generate or pass through audio.

I've used Wireless Audio AUv3 to send audio out from AUM to Garageband , which works, but the latency is a bit too high for my needs.

In any case, this is a great app and KQ Sampei by the same developer is one of my favorite MIDI file players and general MIDI instruments. Kudos to the dev.

I cant send audio from GB to AUM as it says it has a different sample rate and had these random drops that i think are related to the diffrent sample rates.

Aum is locked to 44khz and i cant seem to be able tomchange it to 44.1 no matter what i do

AUM settings. First thing in the list is Sample rate.

Unless you’re saying it won’t change.

I haven’t tried yet with this plugin but I know similar audio send plugins struggled with GB instruments due to them using some odd sample rate like 22khz.

I think GB uses a variety of sample rates. Some internal instruments run at 22 kHz for efficiency even if it runs at 44.1 or 48 k overall.

A couple of things about sample rate:

    • Some iOS devices are locked to 48Khz sample rate.
    • A locked device can be set to other sample rates with an external interface if the interface supports changing the sample rate.
    • Some devices lock to 44.1 kHz with earbuds plugged in.
    • iDAM is locked to 44.1 kHz.
    • If not subject to the above, the first app started "owns" the sample rate. Trying to change it from an app started later doesn't work.
    • Some plugins (fewer and fewer these days thankfully) don't adapt properly to sample rate changes. Typical symptoms are being out of tune by about a semitone, incorrect timing, or sometimes garbled sound.
    • GarageBand doesn't seem to have any way to manually set the sample rate. Therefore, if trying to use it with this plugin, force-close all apps, open GarageBand first, then start other apps such as AUM. Check the sample rate in AUM and then check that the Loopback plugin is using that sample rate.

Hopefully that's all accurate. I'm sure any errors will be promptly pointed out. 😎

In v1.2, there is an option, "Stability". Increase that value in the Loopback Out/Mixer and it will be better though the latency might be increased.
You should also try booting the DAWs in a different order.
