iOS needs
These plug ins:
- A version of melodyne studio, or something as good. (Or flexpitch)
- A version of infiltrator 2, flux pro is on the road…but will it go all the way
- Ozone …there really isn’t anything else to me… fabfilter can get you close but…(more time eaten up here)
- A version of movement…yea really nothing on iOS close to this yet
- Trackspacer…we need one of these beautiful plugs all day
- Ovox? Anyone anything?
- Full alchemy synth…ugh wtf Apple?
- A version of NI PlayBox…
- A version of SubLab2..or very similar
- A great wavetable synth with user wavetable support… only thing close is synthmaster
- We need for Korg to make there gadgets auv3 already
- Reason? …not reason “bs” compact include it in PLUS…FULL REASONwith auv3 plug in ability
- Soothe2, oh yeaaaa I’d love to have soothe2, at least smooth operator…
Anyone wanna add?

Resolume!!!!
It's not my cup of tea, but what about ButterSynth?
Maybe you should look at what it can do that desktop cannot do instead.
It’s a different beast.
I really like ButterSynth….until it eats every resource in an m2 ipad…so until this gets tamed down…I can’t realistically include it unless I wanna freeze tracks a lot.
I feel where you are coming from, and I actually do agree…because iPad is on some different stuff that is also great.
Where I want to get though, is where my iPad workflow has the same essential tools my computer Daw has as well.
When I travel (lots) this is going to help me get very useful results without waiting until I get to the real studio all the time.
Maybe they already know that, and it's not as helpful a suggestion as you think
🤣😂
Forget Reason DAW on iPad - Propellerhead/Reason Studios isn’t interested in mobile software any more…
We don’t need another wavetable synth on iPad than Synthmaster 2 and Buttersynth…
A binaural panner like Logic Pro has. We have some binaural panners on iOS, but nothing quite like in Logic Pro. But other than that, I'm good.
Who be this "we"? Synthmaster 3 is coming with user wavetable editor, and I for one am looking forward to that. "Need" is subjective.
Nothing.
I think being placed in a position to use whatever is available is more conducive to being creative. There are many times in my life when I have been limited in the type and quality of instruments available to me and I think it has always led to improvements in many aspects of playing music.
Or apple can add it back for ios? So my projects really can almost round trip hahaha. Logic pro on ipad will NOT open binaural panned projects from desktop at all.
I will NOT forget. Reason is too late to every party to be brutally honest…look at how long it took to get vst3 sheeeeeesh. They could have done been here. Look at thor! They ran europa on a browser as a damn flex. They added a effin dr ictarex to gadget. Cmon mannnnn wtf reason studios?! Fo realz!
You must have a mouse in your pocket (we)
Buttersynth is way too heavy
And serum is just better than synthmaster 2 in my use if even take vital…or a lighter cpu buttersynth is ok too. Using synthmaster is like maneuvering a gui maze.
Remember!!!!!!
And its entirely okay with me that you like working this way! I see where your angle with this is. I like the above tools and want them.
Exactly! I want to dive more into binaural panning. 🤣
Somebody on the intraweb don't agree with me 😱😱
I think what you said is fine for some.
I have my wants and they shall be met, or i will rant again in 3 months and be almost expectant.
Lol 👍👍
It’s definitely a good way to hone your skills or develop new ones. I have had access to some terrible instruments at some points in my life and I think I have benefited from that (as odd as it might sound).
iOS music is not for everyone. So many limitations, but best portability.
I switched to PC for music. Couldn’t take the limitations anymore.
Good luck!
Drambo w/Wavetable IAP would like a word
Yea I have Drambo, but I haven’t spent a lot of time with it…that would be like learning something entirely different. I really don’t have time to invest in Drambo due to its depth and my ignorance of it. I’ve made a few messes in it…it’s not my strong area
I just want a full standalone AUV3 physical modeling synth like Sculpture. The Icegear stuff is great but very specialized. Something more comprehensive would be great.
Also an AUM2 with views of 8-10 channels at once for mixing and automation.
Oh yes cosign on the Physical modeling that's not reliant on LP. I don't even use the Icegear coz it's not (yet) MPE, even that would be something I would love to have but I'm gonna need them to support MPE!
Brian Clevinger's Rhizomatic Plasmonic, on iOS would be great, AAS chromophone would be something,
Expressive E Imagine?
I have sculpture, Objekt, and osmose…I’m good here.
Even though programming the Eagan matrix is way above my skill set
I don’t rely much on MPE so I still own (and love) all the Icegear synths. Nambu is one of the best to come to iOS every, imo. I really recommend their stuff.
But yeah I’m surprised physical modeling hasn’t had more presence on iOS in general. Hopefully that’ll change soon.
Drambo 3
i was thinking hard what is at least one major / important thing i am missing on iOS..
sorry.. didn’t found nothing.
yeah, would be nice to have synths like Diva or Zebra on iOS .. but .. it’s not that i see it like limitation they aren’t here ..
I feel less limited on iPad than on desktop, thanks to worklflow and way how i interact with apps (with fingers on touch screen). Workflow is for me much more important than some speciffic features…
My approach to making music is - I tend to look at set tools i have and then i think about what i can do with them, instead of thinking what i want to do and searching for tools which makes that possible. Realised it removes most of frustration "i can't do this and that" and what remains is just pure creativity and fun. I see the tools (apps, hw) like something where is music locked/hidden inside (like all kinds of possible statuses locked inside block of stone) and my goal is to find that locked music and unlock it, make it to it's existence :-))
Hmmm…
Making music on mobile device may differ from the desktop world, but, have you put any thoughts why you feeling limited with iPad/iPhone?
Perhaps it’s you that is limited, both when thinking difference (mobile) and your brain stills thinking desktop workflows?
Nothing stops you from making good music on mobile devices…
Each to their own. I think you’ll find there’s a lot of good music made in iOS by some very talented people. And that’s what it comes down to in the end, talent. You could have a multi-million pound studio that’s all singing and dancing, but if you haven’t got a creative ounce in your body, you’ve got no chance. Meanwhile, the guy equipped only with NS2 or CB3 is churning out beautiful music. I think many will agree with me when I say they’re making good music with iOS and are happy to continue that way.
I’d be interested in what you see as limitations in iOS.
