Haha, it’s so powerful that you can start making music straight from the ‘init’ patch! 🤩
Interesting to know that ‘spice’ simulates faulty components, wondered what that was.
Also explanation of the filter models, very nice.
Cheers @wim
Should Ronin be 18, as on label, or 24, as on diagram?
Thanks Luxthor.
Never made an acid bass but it seems good.
Thought there were a bug. When loading track save as couldnt control synth.
I made an un-intended bass ( with the acid bass, lfo and sequence )
Reminds me of shockwave but nicer.
I thought I needed it to be a poly synth
but I guess you wouldnt make the same basses.
As long as the number is correct, I suppose the name is not that important.
Can someone explain how this can be used on OS desktop Ableton ( if it can) .
I don’t remember if it’s available for Mac as I haven’t checked, but I assume if it is you just download it from the App Store and it will appear as an AU.
I just grabbed it, and Holy Crap! This is a beast. This does have a Moog sub 25-ish sound. It can slap and squeak, but also be super warm and rumbly. Wow. The sound of this app is absolutely phenomenal.
Congratulations on this release @giku_beepstreet
I regret this thread is not the AppStore’s Dagger review page.
Thank you guys!
Does it show up as an audio unit instrument in Ableton too?
Haha. Yeah, @wim should repost it there.
Indeed. Thanks to you as well 🤝
This synth sounds very nice! I want to purchase but
Has anybody tried the Mac version? The Mac app store version says "Not verified for MacOS".
I have an M1 Mac, and I really want to buy apps that will work both on the iPad and on my laptop.
Several years ago I bought Sunrizer for my Macbook Air, but it was too buggy (maybe it's better now?) so I'm cautious.
I've had no problems with it on desktop, other than the default view size is a bit large and in general there are some UI improvements I'd like to see the developer make. I still recommend it. It works on iPadOS and macOS just great, and you only pay once.
Also, I don't know what you're looking at because this is what the Mac App Store says:
I would like to add a Community bank soon. If you made presets, that you want to share, please post them here or send to info@beepstreet. (preset names should be prefixed with your nickname)
Thanks for the information, that is good news. I think this synth sounds terrific.
It reads "Not verified for MacOS" under "Analog modeling synthesizer". It made me worry a little.
This screen shot is from the Mac app store:
@giku_beepstreet would you consider adding the possibility to change global pitch/add microtonal tuning? (btw the possibility to import scala files in sunrizer no longer seems funtional, sunrizer doesn't appear in the file system as an app to share a scala file with)
Yes, I'm considering an "XT" IAP with morph, step seq, p-locks, MPE, scales...
Great!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Also in future if you can add saw to LFO (now there is just in enevlope mode, i mean i classic loop mode) that would be lovely.
That would be nice addition, my personal wish is to be able to use negative envelope modulation on the filter so it opens up during the release stage. So for the envelope modulation of the filter center position would be no modulation, full on left would be negative modulation and full on right would be positive modulation.
Negative LFO modulation of the pitch could be handy too especially if/when it gets a saw/ramp wave.
(I like the fact that the LFO output is uni-polar as it makes tuning things a lot easier than a bi-polar LFO)
Hi-pass and Band-pass options for the filter models would nice additions as well
Negative modulation would be very handy. Do you know of any other universal iOS synths that have this? Thanks
Totally subscribe to this.. also in terms of implementation, in theory it should be too complicated - just set 0 value in middle of "Mod" and "Env" knobs path (instad of begining, like it is now), and then adjust range from -1.0 to 1.0 instead of from 0.0 - 1.0 (i guess that's internal implementation @giku_beepstreet) - that way existing patches will be not broken but possibility to negative mod by both Env and Lfo will be added ..
Poison 202 and Lagrange are few that work on both the iPad and iPhone.
There might be others but I honestly don't keep track of iPhone compatible apps as I mostly use Koala on my iPhone 8...
Perhaps the solution might be to include some links to tutorials within the app.
I’m not saying that all development time should be dedicated to the core of the app but since there’s already a lot of info out there…
Butter Synth, Zeeon
Sunrizer (iOS/iPadOS/M1/M2 Mac) does negative filter envelope modulation.
Most IceGear apps do it as well...
