Thanks @Samu and @dendy
I’ve kind of got it going in Zeeon and filter is opening on release using Amp envelope controlling cutoff with negative value. It’s a bit messy with clicking when first pressing key etc but think I’m getting there. Thanks!
Try to slightly adjust the attack speed of the envelope to reduce that, it's the same on some hardware as well...
The cut-off point in combination with attack speed and modulation depth is the key here.
.
Id buy another version of dagger.
If the wobulator as described would need to be built into synth.
Id also buy a 303.
If theres functionalities of a 303 missing from dagger.
but I guess its just modulation. Envelopes etc.
.
I did an epub version for my own easy reference on iphone (using the old info sheet). This is just the help sheet in column version (now updated for minor changes).
NOTE: ** this is an epub file (which is actually a zip), you will have to rename the extension to .epub (remove the final .zip from the name)** , then you can open in documents or ibooks
EDIT: corrected some typos
Will have a play with that. Thanks! 🙏🏻
@giku_beepstreet Loving the sound of this thing, having lots of fun with it mapped to a midi controller.
Could I request an update / review the MIDI mapping names to match the UI?
For example the for filter cutoff for LP/HP, they are both just named cut off. And the UI has 3 Mod dials, but the names on the available midi maps is not clear, I think there are only 2 named mod iirc.
It's not so bad In AUM as I can do MIDI learn and move the knob and then map.
But using Control mappings in Loopy Pro it's a bit confusing.
@sigma79 You can do all that by simply hosting Dagger inside Drambo.
Nice! But won't work with coloured knobs and morph rings, that are essential
I have some alternatives, but they need to be widely accepted first. e.g. (dark title colors need to be readjusted)
O.T. but why not
.
Oh man, I love this synth! Such amazing sound..
This looks nice !
Would anyone appreciate a light skin for drambo? Maybe just making the background of the modules less dark wouldn’t be too much work?
Or is it just me? To be honest I feel the dark mode fad, that everyone seems to demand for every app, is getting tiresome.
Just like I can change my phone to dark/light modes, and for a while it looks like a new phone, it would be refreshing to do that in drambo.
.
+1 for title colors, and also keeping them for compact racks. There is one issue with colors in compact racks atm; if you use Morph knobs, you can no longer understand which Morph module is producing which color dot (since you can't see the module color when compactified).
This looks good. Smarter somehow.
What did you think of the other one I posted?
I just love your black knobs 😂
And the light backgrounds make the modules feel ‘solid’, almost like guitar pedals or mini synths.
Both are good.
Gikus looks more pro ( and nicer as a painting )
but he is a dev.
i absolutely love your proposals (both darker and this white version) and love the knobs - problem is that some knobs need colour highlighting to see which other module modulates them .. can’t you create some idea how this may be dobe ? Because other than that, your proposals are just fanrastic
maybe colour ring around the knob ? or just coloured few pixels thin line bellow the knob ?
Or have static knobs like in your peopromosal and only modulation amount knobs like in current drambo ?
Dunno, but this design change would be for me major improvent and would literally drag me to using Drambo again. It looks fanrastic !
(If i should choose, I probably like the white more thab the darker variant with whole moduler coloured by iťs color)
I think exactly that, a coloured ring around the knob, would definitely work on the light grey modules. Or just make the top of the knob coloured like they currently are.
Edit: I think the full colour modules are probably a no go without some sort of black circle around the knobs which would probably get too fussy.
Seems best to have a darkest border to highlight the knobs unless just a synth where the DAW is more darker because more border. The border outweighs the knobs.
but giku used a variation of modules.
Might be different if all Euclideans but I dont think so.
Im sure Zeeon works though.
I dont know.
Yes, modules colored by their colors but lighter would work for me (I mean the background, not the color coded tiles and connectors)
Guys, stop turning this Dagger thread into a Drambo thread. Come on.
No it’s the same thread
+1
My bad 😂
I’ve started a new thread:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/57004/drambo-design-thoughts-with-elements-of-dagger-and-combustor
I’ll stop posting Drambo here, just need to finish within the context;
@dendy modulate color wouldn’t work, since a knob can have multiple modulators connected.
Here is another problem in current compact form, which XY pad is the source here? Happens when you have non-unique names, but would be solved by using title colors.
Put it in the other thread. There's nothing to "finish".
Can you recommend to buy Dagger if you have Twin 3. I have T3 and its filters can sound very cool like Extreme, Raw or Metal. Or are they 2 different animals?
If you have spare money and love intensive sound design, don’t worry at all. Dagger is a unique synth, you will get unusual results and a plethora of new sounds, guaranteed.
