Bundle price will be $39.99 for all eight when it’s live FYI.

Cool, that's quite a saving especially here in Sweden with the current exchange rate...
...and I've got enough store credits left just in case...

Considering one of these costs between $59-$79 on desktop, it’s crazy good value, yeah.

Need expert advice ( Maybe Dendy or similar )
Because recall him saying even the filter on model d isnt the best?
Apart from the low pass filter and after making a 303 patch.
To make 303 patterns ( I can find out )
Is just either key with modulation and filter plus 303 parameters and maybe arps.
So wonder if the sequenced version has any 303 functionality here.

On Model D there is nasty aliasing noise when you use high resonance. This s not present on HW, of course. It makes plugin unusable for more extreme sounds. Also fast LFO->Filter modulation sounds not good when compared to real HW.

If they bring bundle for some reasonable price, i will buy it and let you know.. Anyway moog filter is very different from 303 filter, it's just completely different circuitry, so also emulation sounds very different.

Anyway, 303 sound is not just about filter type (of course it adds to character a lot too) but also about sequence structure and envelopes (and especially accent behaviour)

I would say, on iOS if you are into 303 just use Pure Acid app and you are there.

If you want more experimental approach then Butter Synth has pretty decent 303 filter emulation .. other than that there are few rules how to build something which at least remotely reminds 303 lines

    • for filter/amp envelope use just Attack and Decay - original 303 has just these two parameters (no sustain, no release - if your sysnt of choice has standard ADSR envelope, just set Sustain and Release to zero)
    • it has very short attack and very long (exponential) decay

Then crucial thing which adds to 303 vibe is accent on few notes .. what accent on original 303 does is

    • it shortens filter envelope decay significantly
    • it adds more filter envelope modulation
    • it increases volume of that note

read this article, there is very detail analyse, after understanding those concepts, you should be able to make at least a 303-kind of bassline on every synth with saw/square oscillator and amp / filter envelopes ... of course somewhere you can get more close, somewhere less close.. it will be never the same so if you want really 1:1 faithful reproduction just grab Pure Acid.
    https://www.firstpr.com.au/rwi/dfish/303-unique.html

You might like the fm module. Which might mean an additional filter.

  • They look all so interesting, not seeing the bundle yet. Love the look of the UI, Moog knows their art.

Somehow I knew it, you just can’t get away with a few of them. 😂

Ah well. I took the plunge anyway for the Murf. I’m loving what it can do to my noises. And it goes great with Gong Amp. It’s definitely been a good time recently for the Hainbach-inclined, what with Artifacts, the AudioThings, er, things, and now this.. Guess I’ll be stumping up for the full bundle soon…

Update: the combo of Murf and Gong Amp, with a little MIDIlfo madness thrown in, are definitely delivering physical modelling type noises I’ve not heard from my previous apps. Exciting times…

Same, probably. I bought two already (MuRF and the delay), so I imagine I'll get €20 knocked off the bundle price if it all works as usual.

  • Tbh not sure you need freqbox with dagger synth.

Effect is subtle or you can gain anyway with dagger oscilators.

You cant really use live because it seems better fully wet unless theres subtleness in the mix.

but fully wet dosent respond to velocity.

So all keys sound the same.

  • Will be curious to see what you folks come up with using these. I’ve had the desktop versions since they came out on my m1 MacBook Pro and they are definitely fun devices. I’m not that smart so I’m still figuring them out, but can get some really interesting stuff out of them plus some of the noise engineering plugins.

Nah the subtle is an fm patch.

Which uses the velocity of a mix not fully wet and it resonates ( or is velocity sensitive ) in the mix.

Edit. Its dagger synth that sounds fm.

  • Great, I was waiting for the Murf and it doesn't disappoint. Also love the hype-free release :)

  • I made demos.

Not sure about the fm envelope

but 2nd demo I guess needed the fm and ring modulation.

Which probably means to buy the bundle.

Here’s what I came up with this morning after buying the Murf, here heard bashing Hainbach’s Gong Amp around:

I think ‘ll do a longer bit of this with proper visuals for my ‘drone’ section on the YouTubes when I’ve got time. I kind of like it.

*Fun fact: kicking the gong around, as per the Cab Calloway classic, was slang for smoking opium, from Chinese opium dens of the last century where customers struck a gong to make the attendant come and bring them a pipe.

Also: Cab was fantastic, wasn’t he? Bandleader, singer, performer, inventor of the moonwalk… the whole package… I see him, and I think James Brown, Michael Jackson, Prince… he was there ahead of them.

  • This is great to hear!

  • I’m sure they’ll sound good enough in the context of a mix, I do think I will wait on a bundle deal.
I would certainly make use of the Murf but at this stage In my app purchasing career I already have plenty of apps to achieve this so would like to get best value for my compulsive purchasing disorder. :D

  • Mostly interested in the MuRF, checked out a real one years ago, sounded great processing hihats/noise through it.

So what’s the latest news on Moog (future proofing, etc) since Jack O'Donnell bought it?

  • A nice surprise that they all came at once. I’ve wanted a MuRF since they 1st came out. Very good price for the bundle.

  • This is good news, indeed. I’m probably going to wait for the bundle, though.

  • 12.99$CAD for a low pass filter. It must be a really incredible low pass .

    😂😂

  • I’m going to wait for the bundle. I want them all.

I read on their page that the Saturator (109S) is a FREE gift to owners of the other desktop MF plugins.

  • How the fm oscilator works.

  • There's no need to wait for the bundle as long as you don't spend over the bundle price amount on the individual apps :)

ok, this sounds fucking great ! It really adds major spectrums into original sound.. instant love for me…

This is great year, some absolutely major high quality synths / fxs were released in redent 8 months !!!

This filter is the same price as the entire bundle on iOS. From that viewpoint, it’s a STEAL!

If you're also using a desktop computer, Moog has their MF-102S Ring Modulator on sale at $9.99 right now. Must be a teaser price because all of the other desktop software is considerably more money ($59, $69 and $79).

    https://software.moogmusic.com/store/mf-102s

Yes I picked it up for desktop at audiodeluxe saved an extra buck and got Klevgr DAW LP free too.

    Quite cool.

With sync. The waveform is more of a distortion/bit and the envelope sweet spot is to the right, which also tames pitch like a filter.

Without sync the envelope isnt much of an adjustable envelope ( anyway ) because frequency and level are connected to the envelope ( theres a setting for just frequency to envelope )

and to make envelope more match the synth input.

The sweetspot for the envelope is left.

You could use a distortion app for the sync mode and maybe an fm synth layer for the un-sync mode

but it does modulate the synth input ( obviously )

Thank you for the heads up, my desktop MF collection is almost complete!
